      This is another complaint against Momentum Solar.

      On June 6 I signed a contract with Momentum Solar (the company) to have the solar panels removed and reinstalled in order to allow ** ******* *** (roofing company) to replace my roof's shingles because of of damage caused by the April 20, 2023 hail storm in my area. We paid 50% of the fee quoted for such service but to this date, the company have not scheduled the removal and subsequent reinstallation of the solar panels, causing us and the roofing company delays in fixing our roof and exposing us to loss should the damaged roof could not resist any severe weather.

      We have been (both the roofing company and I) calling Momentum, to request the removal of the solar panels be scheduled immediately practically on a daily basis to no avail and don't know what else to do.

      Fraud False Pricing.Mr.************************* from Momentum Solar and I agreed apond a price for whole house solar power for my home. This was whole house solar power from the panels in the day time and whole house power coming from the batteries at night time paying nothing to the utility company. In the middle of installing the system the installtion election told me that the batteries that they were installing were not enough battery power to power my whole house at night. He told me with what the salesman told me about the night time power for my whole house they (Momentum Solar) needed to install more batteries to be enough power to power my whole house at night. The company Momentum Solar wants *** change the price so I would have to pay more money for enough batteries to power my house at night. That is not what the salesman Mr. ************************* and I agreed apond for the price of the solar system for my total house. To me this is a bate and switch by the Momentum company. Changing the price of the job after the price of the system was already been agreed apond by the salesman Mr. ************************* and my self is (fraud). My suggestion would be to stay away from this company they are not to be trusted they are a rip-off. The contract for the Solar system said after the system was up and running I would for 60 days I would received a $4,00.00 cash payment from my utility company for installing solar batteries. I have not received any money for the utility company as of yet June 20, 2023.

      Mr. *** previously raised an issue with Momentum that took several months to resolve.  Momentum offered significant concessions to make the situation right with Mr. **** and the resolution was encapsulated in a release.  ************ current issue is with the utility, not Momentum Solar.

      MOMENTUM SOLAR ************ is the worst. They sell themselves as the top of the line but are careless and irresponsible. They sold me solar panels and installed them at the beginning of December 2022, but the installation was wrongly made. When CPS came to inspect the connection on February 4, 2023, they rejected it because cables were incorrectly installed. Momentum, however, didn't sent a technician to fix the connection and when CPS returned a second time in March, they rejected it again. On top of that, I had to start paying for the solar panels on March 17 without having the system working. This time, after much fighting with their Customer service people, they sent a technician to fix the connection and on April 17, CPS finally approved the installation. Now they are so irresponsible that they are refusing to reimburse me for the 2 months ($221) I had to pay the finance company for the solar panel system that was not duly installed because of their negligence.

      This Solar company was contracted to put Solar Panels on my neighbors roof in 2019. I live in a duplex which means 2 houses are attached, This incompetent company placed the Solar Panels overlapping my roof which caused them to put holes in my roof. I contacted them and all they did was come and reposition the panels and plug up the holes with rubber. I contacted ****************** department and they told me the contractor did not follow the design plans. My roofer gave me an estimate on what it would cost just to replace the portion of the roof they destroyed, After several attempts, I went to court to file a law suit against them. I currently have a judgement with this company for $3,843.00, These people need to pay me my money before they do any more work for anyone. Currently, I have to put a new roof on my home because of their damage, and I do not want them ever to come neat my roof again, even though my neighbor is the one controlling the solar panels.

      As a result of hurricane *** we had our roof repaired. We had to pay Momentum Solar $1515 to remove solar panels and $1515 to replace the panels when the roof was repaired. The roof was repaired in March, 2023, at which time we notified Momentum Solar to come and replace the solar panels. We sent photos of the new roof, as requested. It is now 3 months later and Momentum Solar has not replaced the solar panels. Our account number with ********************** is *******. I have attempted to contact Momentum Solar three times, to no avail.

      On October 12th, 2022, we signed up for Solar with Momentum Solar. This company representative, ******************************* promised ** that we would be installed and up and running by February 2023. He also promised us that we would be able to have Gutter guards installed to prevent debris from accumulating in the gutters since I would no longer be able to climb on the roof to blow the debris out. Sometime between October and February, the sales rep. left the company and now all that was promised to ** to sign this deal is left in limbo to include having us switched over to Solar. The Solar panels have been installed back in February and both the town and power company have visited and approved the install and conversion to solar sometime in April. Well, it is now June and after dozens of phone calls and e-mails inquiring about my install, nobody at Momentum will return my calls or provide me any status on when the transition will take place. I have contacted other Solar providers and it normally never takes longer than a couple of months to get the town and electric company (Eversource) to approve this transition. I was finally contacted by an ****** *** in May who seemed to be working some of these issues but now I have not heard back from her in over a month. My main concern with this whole issue is now I am tied to this unresponsive company for the next 25 years! All they seemed to care about was getting the contract signed. But after 8 months of stress trying to get some answers, this whole process is taking a toll on our health. We would rather go back to paying the ridiculous electric rates then to have to deal with this company. Please help us. Thank you.

      I am rejecting this response because:  Momentum is the only solar company that has issues with getting me connected.  I have contacted other solar providers who have told me that I would already be hooked up had I gone with them.  I will not be satisfied with Momentum until my Solar is up and running and my gutter guards are in place and working as expected.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      While it is true that Momentum has been in contact with me about my solar installation it has also made the situation worse.  On 2 recent occasions I was promised (1) a document explaining the states issues with energizing my panels and on the second occasion I was supposed to receive a return phone call about the gutter guard installation promised to me; neither has happened.  On August 10th I talked to a ************** who told me he was taking over my project and asked me what Momentum could do to "Make things right."  I told him the most frustrating part of this whole event is the lack of communication and promises unfulfilled.  After this initial conversation I was told that I would receive a document to better explain the delay in energizing the panels from the state of Mass.  That document never was sent.  On the second occasion more recently (August 15th) I was told by ***** that he would call me back with the status of the gutter guard installation.  I am still waiting.  Until this company can produce what they promise, (returning a phone call is not asking too much) I will not be satisfied with any verbal commitments made by Momentum or any of their representatives.

      Momentum Solar has been in contact with the customer. After speaking with ************, our representative called Eversource since we have not received an update from them since 8/16. We are currently pending a call back from Eversource. They provided an ETA of 2 business days. Our representative also addressed Mr. ***** concerns regarding the gutter guards, and we are currently working to find a resolution that is satisfactory to the customer. ************ will be contacted and advised of any progress updates we receive.

      The only reason that Momentum is even in contact with me is because I contacted the BBB.  While it is true, Momentum has been in contact with me about getting the gutter guards installed, they want me to sign a 7-page document that basically requires me to absolve all these issues that I have been stressing over for the last 9 months and retract my statements and tell the world that Momentum is a great company.  I am not willing to that at this time.  Momentum has told me they want to "make things right" with my install and this is not the way to go about it in my opinion.

      On January 30, 2023, Momentum Solar came and installed the solar panels. They didnt finish the job the first time and had to push it back in order to finish it. Payments start 60 days after install, so my first payment was due on April 1. Momentum Solar took until May 10 to actually turn them on. The company was aware that my solar panels were ready to be turned on for weeks and just never did it. I had to call the company and ask them to please come turn them on, the representative on the other end said alright, theyve been ready for weeks. So I called Momentum twice a week, for three weeks, to get a refund on my two months of paying for solar panels. I was paying solar panels AND my full electric bill because Momentim Solar has bad communication. After getting the go-around from multiple people at the company, I finally spoke to a manager that said thats not good but its about the money so we cant help you. Yet, they knew about my panels being ready to be turned on for weeks. This company is making thousands of dollars over the course of my contract but, they cant refund me for their mistake and now electricity was costing me $400 a month with $190 of it for the solar panels. The main complaint is that the company cant seem to communicate properly, which is why it took me three weeks to get a proper answer from them. Their excuses for why I couldnt get a refund for their mistake were despicable and lousy. There are many complaints from people about this happening so I do not take it lightly.

      We had solar panels installed on 2/8/2023. The building inspector from the town of Ludlow failed the system on 3/16/23. Corrections to the system must be made to satisfy the inspector in order for her to sign off on the work order required by the electric company. We have called customer service at least weekly with no resolution. They have promised numerous times to have a service rep call us to get some resolution-no one has called to this date. We would like the necessary repairs made ASAP or have the panels removed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you, **** and *********************

      Momentum Solar was to install Solar power on home.they have missed appointments, been late to appointments no call no showed to appointments. I would like them to remove all equipment and restore the roofing as originally found

      Momentum has been in contact with the customer. One of our representatives called ****************** but he refused to speak with her. We then had a manager call the customer because we wanted to let that ****************** know that we can have a technician go out this week to complete the installation, but ****************** did not answer so we left a voicemail. The customer returned the call and left a voicemail requesting a copy of his contract, which we have sent over to him. He let ** know that he does not want to speak with anyone from Momentum and said that he has retained legal counsel.

      I signed up with Momentum in Sept of 2022, it is **** of 2023 and I have no estimated time of completion. I have these pretty panels on my roof that are of no benefit to me because they have not completed the job. Of course they have received there check and I am now stuck paying the electric company and the finance company for the panels. Customer Service is of no help as they will hang up on you if the question is to hard to answer or you ask for a sup/manager. The so called "project manager" (******) stopped answering the phone once he got his commission check or so it seems, I haven't spoken to him in months. They falsely reported the job complete to all the third parties involved and the last time I checked my city was not up to date on the work being done. They are a scam. If anyone opens a class action suit I definitely want to be a part of it.
