In the summer of 2018 we decided to install solar panels at our home. We contacted Momentum Solar and a salesperson was sent to our house. Our salesperson informed us that Momentum was running a promotion of a 1 time removal and reinstall of the solar panels, at no cost to us, if and when our roof needed to be replaced. In the winter of 2019 the solar panels were installed. Fast forward to September of 2023, I called Momentum Solar and inquired about the free removal and reinstall of my panels due to my roof needing to be replaced. After being passed around from the roofing department to customer service several times I was told that Momentum no longer honors that promotion, and I will have to pay to remove and reinstall my panels. I asked for a Manager and of course they are always in meetings or will call back. No one has ever called me back. I was also asked if I had a coupon for the promotion, which I never received from my salesperson, my response was no. Their response was well even if you had the coupon we would not honor the promotion. I feel this promotion was a scam to entice us to sign up for the solar panels from the beginning, every person I speak with has a different answer as to why they don't honor the promotion.Business Response

We explained to ****************** that Sunnova owns the solar system so he will have to contact them to start the process of the temporary removal and reinstallation of the system. It was also explained to the homeowner that he does not have the coupon for the temporary removal and reinstallation so we cannot honor a free removal and reinstall. ****************** was advised to call Sunnova.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
When we signed the contract with Momentum Solar they were partners with Sunnova. Somewhere between 2018 and 2023 Momentum Solar and Sunnova no longer have a business relationship. This was explained to me by the Momentum customer representative, it was also explained to me that even if I had this coupon Momentum still cant remove and reinstall the solar panels because they are owned by Sunnova. Also when we signed the contract we were not given a coupon. Momentum did confirm at the time we signed the contract they did have this promotion in place. Just because the two companies no longer do business with each other should not mean the customer suffers. Since the two companies were business partners when we signed the contract we feel any promotions at the time of their partnership should be honored. Or the customer should have been notified of any changes. If we would have known the promotion was not going to be honored we would have replaced our roof prior to installing the solar panels.

I filled out an online form regarding solar installation at my home in November. Since then I have received multiple calls from multiple different phone numbers attempting to contact me. I block each number but they continue to call using different numbers.Business Response

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service provided by Momentum Solar and the unfulfilled promises made during and after the installation of my solar system.
Despite multiple assurances and promises of two free months of credits—one for the communication issues and another for the delayed energization—I have not received any credits on my account. Paris G***** assured me of one free month on 4/6/2023, and MyInstall sent emails promising a free month due to the delayed energization, yet these commitments have not been honored. I called numerous times to speak to a manager, they were researching and no one ever made good on the promise.
Throughout the installation process, I faced numerous challenges, including a total roof replacement, unexpected additional costs, prolonged electrical upgrades, and frequent delays. The communication breakdown was evident, and I often had to initiate contact to keep the project moving. Despite promises and numerous installation dates, the issue was not promptly resolved, causing further frustration and time lost from work. Technicians not showing up!
After installation, six panels were not connected properly, resulting in over a month of lost electricity generation from them.
Additionally, the lack of monitoring and notification when my system was offline for over 10 days is unacceptable. I was assured that monitoring would be in place, yet no one contacted me regarding this significant downtime.
I have spoken to a manager named Elmer, who assured me of resolving the credit issues, but unfortunately, I have not received any follow-up or resolution despite multiple attempts to contact him. I sent him 2 copies of the bills for the credits.
This overall experience has been extremely disappointing, and I urge you to address these issues promptly and fulfill the promises made. I expect immediate action to rectify the situation and appreciate your urgent attention to this matter.

On Dec 23th, I found a water leak coming from my roof. Because of the big storm the week before, we heard some issues by the solar panels and I called Momentum Solar to take action. Water is getting in my attic destroying some of the walls and it's getting close to my HVAC.Multiple times, I have called their customer service, and they have changed many times the roofing schedule, that I realized it could be a lie. Last time, they said someone would come on Jan 6th (two weeks of damage already), and they never came. They never left voicemails or say something about it. Their customer service rep spoke with the "Roof contractor" and they stablishes " they never do business with Momentum Solar or any solar company". I felt I was in the middle of a game. I spoke with someone in *************, and he was so inconsiderate and disrespectful that he didn't do anything more than saying "You still have your appointment for the 15th"(4 weeks since the incident started), and either you take it or we cancel it". That's inappropriate because it's a damaged asset, not a toy, and they don't help at all. I want to litigate this problem because my house is getting more damage, and their people are negligent to give an answer. I want to void the contract and have my roof intact. My roof have less than 2 years and they need to fix it the way it was. I called contractor to have an idea of damages. It's **** so far. If it reaches the ***** it would add another *****.Business Response

This company will not leave me alone. I have been dealing with incessant phone calls everyday for months. I have told them to stop calling this number and had them place me on a do not call list. Even after that I get about 20 calls a day from all different numbers so I cant block. They spam so much as I had received 19 missed calls in 6 minutes. They keep scheduling appointments for people to come to my house even though I have not authorized or answered any of the calls. *** never made a complaint in my life but at this point I dont know what else to do. I entered into a contract with Momentum Solar for 52 solar panels. The Solar panels went live in February. I was told by the sales men that momentum would monitor my panels but I could also monitor them. I initially did not monitor them. I did begin to monitor them in September after paying almost full electric bills for most of the past 7 months. When I did look at my solar panel emails I noted an error with the inverters. I called moments, immediately. The person on the line walked me through the steps I could take to rest the system. This did not work. At this point I learned that 24 of my inverters were not reporting properly. I was told some would call me in about 2 to 3 weeks to set up and appointment. I finally received a call and an appointment was set up for late October. No one should up, no one called and no one called me back. After several calls, hearing someone would call me to set up an appointment, I asked to speak to a manger. I was told they did not have any technicians and could not get any to fix my problem. As soon as they hired someone they would call me. I called several more time to check on the progress, always being told someone would call me back. Finally on or about December 7, 2023 I was given and appointment for 12/27/2023. No time was given just a day. Well no one showed up, no one called me to tell me what happened. I called them that afternoon about 4 and was told they could not get in touch with the service department but someone would call me back. Today I received a text from the scheduling department that they are confirming with the service manager to reschedule my appointment. No one responded to my text and when I called the number I received a recording. I left another message.I feel they are violating the contract we signed by not providing the needed service to my system. This is causing a financial strain as I have to pay for the solar panels and I have to pay for my electric.Business Response

I Tried to contract with momentum solar for an Installation, They came out too all the measurements, took pictures of my service and Electric panels. I then asked you see there electrical license and there liability insurance, so i could check and see if they are licensed to work in my Town. And to see if there were any complaints against them. I was told they would only show me those documents, after I signed a contract with them. It took Momentum 3 1/2 Months to Fix 40% of my Panels Overall, I have not issues with the panels (this was the 1st problem we have had with them), but I do have a problem with Momentum.I lost 40% of my solar production for the entire summer. I called in June 2023 and because Momentum seems so short staffed, it took them 3 1/2 months to triage and fix 8 of my ************************************************************** February so the outage was actually 7 1/2 months. After multiple calls, Momentum refuses to credit me anything for my loss of production. I requested a manager call me but that never happened.My thought is that Momentum's inability to provide timely service should not affect my wallet.Business Response
