Receiving unwanted, unrequested calls to my cell phone (12 since February 5, 2024) from Momentum Solar, each time coming from a different phone number. Way too many to try and block.
Want these phone calls to end. There was a man who came to the house in early February and he wouldn't stop trying to convince me to look into their solar panels. Now I just get relentless phone calls which I won't answer because I don't want to encourage the telemarketer.Business Response

During the Sales presentation I was offered three deals: Base price, discounted price, and discounted price with a 1000 dollar Lowes gift card. I went with the final offer and months later the company is saying this was not the case and is denying the 1000 dollar offer. The sales presentation was recorded for training and they are denying to supply the recording and will not review the recording without an official lawsuit. The deal for solar panels was only made because the offer with the 1000 dollar gift card, made by the sales manager, seemed too good to be true, and it apparently was. I have no issue with every other facet of the company, the installation of the panels went smoothly and they are operational. Not sure how a company can openly reneg on a deal with no consequences. The sales recording would instantly clear this up.Business Response

After having solar installed, my roof began leaking. Momentum eventually sent a technician out and he told me they had crews that created a lot of problems involving roof damage but they had all been fired and replaced. After getting on my roof, he told me the installers had broken tiles and other parts, leaving areas exposed and causing the leaks. He sealed the areas and told me that I should be good and to reach back out if issues continued. After more rain, Im still experiencing the issues. Ive called momentum many times, well over a month and keep being told Ill receive a call to schedule an appointment within 48 hours, yet nobody ever calls. Ive been told the issue has been escalated, over and over again, and still no call back. After admission of creating the issue, Momentum should be responsible for fixing. I was also told the tech would come back to paint my ceiling where the stain is and that never happened either.Business Response

They came out to work on the roof Monday and were supposed to come back out today to finish up by painting the ceiling damage from the leaks they caused. Nobody ever showed up today so the work is incomplete.

In January, 2021, about a month after closing on my home in ********, ***********, I had Momentum Solar come to home to give a presentation about their product. During the presentation, the sales representative, *******************, informed me that if I became a customer and had solar panels installed, i would have a one-time removal, storage, and reinstall of my panels done, at no cost to me, whenever I needed to replace my roof. She presented this as part of the agreement, and I signed on for solar panels under the grant ******* going on at the time. I had them installed at no cost, and the agreement was that when the time came for me to have my roof replaced, Momentum Solar would remove my panels, store them for the duration of the roofwork, and reinstall at no cost to me. Three years later (about two months ago, 2024), I was informed by my homeowner's insurance that I needed to get a total roof replacement. I have contracted work with ******************************* and financed the new roof. As soon as I signed the paperwork for that project, I called Momentum Solar to begin the process of removing my solar panels. They informed me that they would not honor the agreement made at the time of my signing with them. They said I should have been given a coupon with the offer for a one-time removal, storage, and reinstall at no cost to me. I was not given a coupon, I was told by the sales representative that this was a gaurantee. I have spoken with several representatives at Momentum Solar, and it was escalated up the chain, to no avail. They will not honor the agreement made at the time of my signing and are now asking me for $3920 to remove, store, and reistall my solar panels. My last conversation was with the roofing division of Momentum Solar this afternoon, March 13, 2024. My desired resolution is for this company to honor their promise to me and remove, store, and reinstall my panels at no cost to me.Business Response

Purchased solar panels in 2018 from Momentum Solar. The salesman, *********************, told us that if we needed to replace the roof, Momentum Solar would remove and reinstall the panels at no charge. This was the reason we decided to go with Momentum Solar. Now Momentum Solar wants to charge us over $7k to remove and reinstall the panels. In addition, they are not taking any responsibility for any damage as a result of them being removed or reinstalled. This is a bait and switch to get us to sign and now they are saying we have to pay. We just want what we agreed to when we purchased the panels.Why would we spend $45,000 on solar panels if we knew we would need to pay again to take them off when the roof was replaced?!Makes zero sense. Signed up in May,2023, No monies changed hands. We were promised a solar panel installation. Just discovered after many calls that this company has not submitted the proper paperwork and monies to our ************** when they have told us that they did. I had agreed to purchase the solar system Feb15,2024 & was told I had 7 days to cancel. After much thought I realized this was not the right product for me & the next day I cancelled with the salesman ********************* & with **** at the home office. The worst decision I have made in my life is to go solar with Momuntum. I should have lusten to my husband ??. They are incompetent. They came to install the solar panel on December 26 and since they put their hands on my electric I had problems. Right after I started having a blinking light on my rooms, which I sent a video to proof to the sales rep. ********************** Nothing was done. They came for the town inspection and I showed them the problem the technician that came didn't know why and said to call the company. I called again ***** and he told me to call customer service and from January 17th we are in February 17th one month later I called customer service they came and the technician was able to resolve the problem for 1 day. I have PROBLEMS with my electronic, the coffee machine stops working, the microwave even if I put 5 minutes the food comes out warm. When I use the hair dryer the lights turns off. THEY NEED TO COME AND RESOLVE MY PROBLEM ASAP. I believe the sales rep that they are a good company but I see they have a lot of complaints. I have a loan of $21,000 for something that I know I know I am going to have huge problems in the summer when I turn on the *** Either the come and resolve my problems PERMANENTLY OR THEY CAN JUST REMOVE THE SOLAR PANEL I DONT WANT THEM lairs. And they better pay for my loan. Thieves and lairs. I am not able to attach the videos since the file is larger. But I have proof of what I am saying and ***** has them too.Business Response

We were told the solar system would power house and we wouldn't receive any more electric bills my bills have same usage at previous years and still recieve bills was told we would get a tax credit towards our system didn't get tax credit when you call you get the run around they tell you to give it another month and call back it's been 5 months and nothing has been resolved momentum tells us to call finance about tax credit finance says its not their problem talk to momentumBusiness Response

In July, 2023. Momentum Solar, of *****, **. Installed a solar system on my home. The system does not work due to a large Oak Tree shading the roof. Momentum said they would remove the tree. They did not. The finance company Momentum used, Dividend Finance, is expecting their monthly payments for the solar system that is not producing electricity. They told me to call Momentum. TECO is still proving all my electricity needs and charging me monthly. Momentum said they would pay my electric bills if i sent them copies, which i have, but Momentum has not reimbursed me. I asked them to remove the solar system but they said they will not. Momentum is not returning my phone calls. This is putting a financial hardship on my family. I served our country in *********** and English is my second language. Please help. Thank you.Business Response

Momentum Solar has been in contact with the customer. It has been explained to Mr. ****** that we are unable to remove the tree due to the tree being a protected live oak tree which was unknown until after the solar panels were installed. We were willing to relocate the solar panels so that they are not shaded by the live oak tree. The customer declined the relocation of the solar panels. The only solutions Mr.****** would accept would be to either cut the tree down or remove the solar panels, which we are unable to do.
