Apparently I am not the first ****** to be scammed by ETS. They encourage people to take their at home tests and promote these as 24/7 7 days a week availability. I ran through the systems test with a ******* and she cleared me to take the test. There were no programs running on my computer and their system check confirmed it. As soon as she unlocked the test and before the test even began it closed and I received a message saying security reasons led to the closure of my test. The ******* was even confused and said she did not detect any problems. I contacted the security department and spoke to two different people as the ******* instructed to be told the test closed because their system detected a program running in the background. They could not tell me what program was allegedly running, though. They were elusive with their wording and told me I can pay another $228 to take the test again, though. They refuse regunds even though their system checks are at fault. ****!

I have been kicked off my test twice. Two times in a row I have not been able to complete my writing exam. I made near-perfect scores on my math and reading tests, but they will not let me finish the writing exam. They will not give me a reason why. The proctors are rude and support is nonexistent. How are these people still in business? I have 240$ on these tests and I am yet to fully complete one.

On Friday I was scheduled to take the Teaching Reading: Elementary (5205) and the **** Grades K-6 (5622). I took my reading test that morning without a hitch. I was told I will know the results in 5 to 7 days. I started my pedagogy test at 2 oclock but at 2:33 everything shut down without warning or any sort of communication from the *******. The camera was also no longer "recording", so I had no communication with my *******. Everything just shut down. I was beyond frustrated because I was in the middle of the multiple-choice questions, and I was about halfway through. They could not give me any explanation for why the test was shut down and said they wouldn't be able to tell me for 24 hours. The customer ********************** said they cannot contact the proctors for information. I was frustrated and disappointed because it was the last "big thing" before licensing. Theres no reason on my end that it shouldve been shut down. I called this morning (Saturday) and they didn't give me any further information as promised. They said the investigation team needs to investigate it. Although they told me they would be open and would be able to give me answers today, that was not the case. I will have to wait until Monday for the investigation team to look into it. They will then email me in 5-7 days. At that point I may have to wait another 28 days to take the test. The lack of communication between departments of ETS/praxis is disheartening and frustrating to those of us taking the tests. As I dug a little deeper, this "test terminating" mid testing has happened to many other people. If I was doing something wrong, I would understand, but I wasn't. I had successfully taken a test three hours prior in the same room without any issues. I tested at home for my content area tests and it was great. However, the headache of the testing yesterday proved that testing at a site is likely a better option.

I took the GRE with them because it was the only option. They made an error with my test and are requesting I pay more money for it to be solved. Terrible company, they only care about scamming people out of their money. There needs to be another testing service created to replace these scammers.

This company operates unethically, hiding behind its subsidiaries to exploit customers. As a HISET test taker, I was assured that I could begin the exam process in one state and transfer my scores to another state upon relocating. After successfully passing three out of the five required subjects and moving to a new state, I encountered an unacceptable issue. ***, a subsidiary overseeing the exam, is now refusing to transfer my scores to the new jurisdiction unless I pay additional fees by taking another test in my new state. This is despite the fact that Ive completed all the required subjects successfully and they are fully aware of it. Their actions amount to nothing less than legal extortion.

If ETS is so negligent and unresponsive regarding its retirees, many of whom have devoted years to the organization, how could it be serving its test takers and the educational community? How does such a disreputable organization still qualify as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity? I notice that it is rated "F" by the BBB with a customer review rating of 1.09 out of 5. Given that customers cannot rate below 1, this is about as low as it can possibly go. Apparently, ETS has outsourced its so-called "Retiree Service Center" overseas. I have been calling this totally unresponsive unit for 6 weeks as its contractor, another disreputable entity named Via Benefits of Draper, ****, refuses to process two different medical reimbursement payments while the payments have been due, one for as long as 5 weeks. Both the so-called "ETS Retiree Service Center" and its contractor have been completely unwilling to resolve the situation, leading me to believe that ETS never funded the reimbursement amounts to its contractor in the first place. The "resolutions officer" of Via Benefits went so far as to inform me that the payment processing is backed up and that he could not even estimate when the reimbursement payments would be processed. What kind of outfit is this? After numerous calls to ETS, all that I am given is empty promises of resolution with no indication of any serious action on its part. I think that DOGE or the **** perhaps both, needs to be notified about ETS's deplorable service record to all parties, including test takers, the educational community, and its devoted retirees. Clearly, ETS is not providing effective services to the public, therefore its federal tax-exempt status needs to be rescinded immediately.

using PSI online, BEFORE my test begins, I was reading the instructions "don't talk outloud or to yourself" before I even got to that line, I got 2 warnings.. midway through the test, I muttered "damn" essentially.. bearly breathable, I got kicked out. These people are scam artists at best. I don't know which ETS location was sponsoring that PSI exam, wow. ******* 7:2 For you will be judged by the same standard with which you judge others.

As an educator that has to use this service I find that this company is gig dishonest. They are unethical. During my studies to take and pass needed exams this company has been unhelpful and only wanted to charge more money for everything. The company kicked me out of an exam at the last 15 minutes saying that there was a security issue although I had run tests before the exam and so did the *******. The ******* watched the entire exam and I did not move. You are not allowed to use the restroom or take a break. I had to pay again to take this exam. This has been happening in mass amounts as per my research. There was no list to do anything more than what I did before the exam. When speaking with this highly unethical company they claim that they were helping. The only thing they were helping with is making themselves more money.
