1 starBuyer Beware. I bought a discounted oil change through Groupon. Imagine my surprise when I did not receive the deal I paid for and instead paid twice for a single service. My take away was that the businesses that Groupnn has a relationship with, often do not know how or the terms of the deals that are sold. This results in a useless service with Groupon taking your money and their customers not receiving the service they paid for. Buyer Beware. ********************** with Groupon.Review fromLaura C

1 starIf I could give it zero stars, I would! I didn't receive a confirmation email or my purchased items, and my **** was charged. When I inquired, they could not find my order ( I may have checked out as a guest). They asked for all the details I had, which I did (including a pic of my **** statement). I have dealt with at least five different agents, all asking for the same information, yet none have found my order. My last reply to them was that they should refund my money, and then figure it out on their own time. I have been back and forth with them for at least a month, maybe 2. The most recent email I received (from a different agent again), informed me that the they aren't able to see past emails, and could I please send them the transaction ID and Confirmatin number. I don't have that because I didn't get a confirmation email. They have me running in circles, sending them info that I have already sent multiple times. I have decided to call **** to have them fight for me. They have taken enough of my time! I can not recommend Groupon at this time, and I will never shop there again!Review fromsierra B

1 starGroupon sold me a service that was not available for the time I scheduled it and my purchase was made entirely because of when it was available. There were all kinds of confusing messages sent to both the provider and myself. They communicated misinformation and the whole thing was ridiculous! Even more ridiculous, however, has been the technical issues they have apparently encountered in refunding my credit card. It has been nearly three months and *** spent time and energy I will never recoup just trying to get my money from them. They were quick to confirm they would refund it but apparently the process is highly complex or are they going under? I feel disgusted by Groupon as a business enterprise and believe that these shady business practices are whats wrong with commerce. Groupon - abysmal ethics and lousy business model.Review fromMichelle h

1 starI bought tickets to a ********* Waterpark. The place is pitiful, MOST RIDES WERE CLOSED, BEES INFESTED THE ***** AWAY FROM THE GARBAGES AS WELL AS THE GARAGE *****. SOMEONE OVERDOSED IN THE BATHROOM AND MY KIDS ENCOUNTERED ALL OF THIS. I spoke to the manage rof the Waterpark and she stated she couldn't do anything because groupon is a 3rd party and the only resolution she can offer ris a voucher to come back!!! I would never!! I go to groupon and they refused to refund because the voucher was already used. I'm appalled that groupon would even allow such a place and claim a family place. This is disgusting to me, we drove well over an hour to spend it miserable.Review fromRobert H

1 starPlease, please do not succumb to what may seem like good deals on Groupon. I have just spent four days, seven emails and around a collective three hours of time trying to get answers/a response or some semblance of customer service from these "wizards behind the curtain." You will never, ever hear from them in person and barely get a human on the other end of a "chat." As with many other companies, they "are experiencing higher than usual call volume." Translated, it means the higher *** are bleeding the company dry and don't give two whits about any degree of customer service for the general public. You will regret the stress you will expend dealing with issues that accompany an attempt at a purchase, and trust me, there will be issues. They have to realize that no one in this country is willing to hear the old "higher call volume" routine anymore. Simple solution? Hire more customer service reps. ***** is no possible way to actually contact someone with this company and most, if not all of their CS has been outsourced to **************. I mean, who cares about actual service and accountability when you can send jobs overseas and pad your bottom line? Sure, eventually the company will go bankrupt and leave hundreds or thousands of people with worthless vouchers, but those people are peasants, right? As ******************************* said "Let them eat cake!" I just hope she wasn't assuming they'd use a Groupon voucher to get the cake. They'd run themselves through before they would receive not only service, but any kind of actual human response to any issue. I'm trying to gently and persuasively tell all who read this that, in plain language, this company "inhales quickly! (read: sucks). I feel bad, because several years ago, you could actually talk to someone about a problem. I'm sorry, but the old adage is 100% correct: "true customer service is dead." RIP. Hopefully this company will get the Bud Light treatment. Cheers!Review fromRoss L

1 starWorst service ever. Purchased a Groupon for a simple synthetic oil change at ************ ************ Tried to schedule an appointment on July 27th. Wrote them a nice message. They never got back to me about scheduling the appointment.I emailed again on Tuesday, August 1st. No response.I called and their phone rang forever. I had my oil changed elsewhere. I will not use this merchant, ever, and will continue to post negative reviews about them and Groupon. After multiple email exchanges with Groupon, they refuse to refund my money.I intend to file a dispute with my credit card provider and will take Groupon to small claims court of needed. I will never use Groupon again.Review fromLuis P

1 starStraight up theft. They did not provide the service (for a theme park ticket) and their "fine print" says it could take "up to an hour" to receive the voucher. They charged my credit card but couldn't find the order on their end for weeks. Weeks later, they sent me the voucher, after I had left the city the theme park was in with no intent to return. They refuse to refund even though they could not deliver the product they sold me.Review fromDarren G

1 starHorrible company do not waste your money I purchased a cleaning voucher from Groupon on 7-10-23. I reached out to the vendor Spottoclean the same day the purchase was made and left a voicemail attempting to schedule the cleaning but received no return call. I emailed the vendor on 7/12 and have not received any response. I reached out to Groupon on 7/13 and again on 7/14 both days requesting a refund and they told me the 3 days to request a refund have expired?? Then Groupon told me the vendor is booked until September so I can contact them to schedule an appointment for the September time frame. Excuse me but the vendor has yet to respond to my phone call or email. And I needed the cleaning done now not 2 months from now. No where in the advertisement did Groupon say appointments are not available until September otherwise I would NEVER have purchased this. I believe the vendor is a scam as they have yet to ever respond. Groupon needs to refund my money immediatelyReview fromSarah L

1 starMy Groupon voucher expired. The Groupon, fine print, assures customers that even if the promotional value has expired, the face value of the voucher never expires for the merchant/service you paid for. When I contacted the merchant, they told me they do not get any money from expired vouchers, and so the voucher was worthless. After dozens of emails, back-and-forth from Groupon, their customer service was horrible. They do not have a customer service phone number and so you are stuck in an email nightmare. Groupon continues to just send me generic replies, asking me to provide more information, even though I explained everything in my new detail, and even provided screenshots of the conversation between me and the merchant. Its as if someone isnt really even reading them. I will never purchased from Groupon again.Review fromVeronica S

1 starGroupon lacks professional customer service protocol. **************** Issues must be addressed thru use of the chat virtual assistant or by email. It is very time consuming and frustrating to be required to locate Groupons customer service topics and not to find the topic you need to resolve your issue. There is no one who can or who is willing to personally assist you. An incident such as I will describe below should be have been resolved without Groupons rejection:On the Groupon App, I selected and purchased computer software for ***. After the purchase was final, I observed the computer software for Windows was selected as purchased instead. I do not own a Windows computer. I own an Apple and need software for ***.The Groupon coupon has NOT been redeemed nor has the software been opened or used. I asked Groupon how to exchange the Windows version for the *** version. Both versions of the software were advertised by the same vendor on the same Groupon page together. The *** version is exactly the same price as the Windows version. I feel Groupon has a social responsibility to work with consumers to provide assistance correcting an error such as mine. The error was made either by Groupons system or by me, the consumer. I asked the chat virtual assistant to connect me with a supervisor or call me at the phone number I provided. Groupons virtual assistant resolution provided a link to read, typed a message that all sales are final, and terminated the chat. What kind of service is Groupon providing other than collecting money?I would not refer anyone to use the Groupon app. Please also note the Groupon app is not secure! My payment information which I accidentally did not remove from the Groupon app was used by scammers. I have now removed my payment information.I would like this matter resolved as soon as possible.
