    On June 3, 2025, I scheduled a TaskRabbit service with a ****** named *** to disassemble, move, and reassemble a full-size **** **** bed (no storage) and mattress. I selected *** based on his strong reviews and the fact that he owned a suitable vehicle (a classic **** pickup). The task was scheduled for 4:30 PM, with pickup at ************************************************************ and drop-off at **************************************************************** 4:43 PM13 minutes after the scheduled timeRay messaged me that he would not be coming and sent a replacement named ****, who arrived in a standard SUV. This last-minute substitution was done without my consent and undermined the trust and reliability I expected.Tonys performance was unprofessional. While the disassembly took 1 hour (reasonable), the reassembly stretched over 2.5 hours due to his lack of skill. He struggled with a basic **** cam lock system. I had to assist multiple times, and eventually, my roommate had to help as welldespite this being a paid solo service.We discovered a crucial cam lock wheel was missing, which made the bed unstable. **** denied losing it. Later that night, at 10:15 PM, he messaged me a photo of the missing part, saying he found it in his car and returned it the next morning. Because of this, I now need to hire and pay for another service to fix and properly reassemble the bed.*** later messaged me that the job totaled 4.5 hours. I am being charged for time wasted due to the substitutes incompetence, for a job left incomplete, and for having to do additional work myself. I did not receive the professional or service I paid for and am left with an unstable bed and additional ******** student, this caused me emotional distress and anxiety. The unexpected financial burden of redoing the job is incredibly overwhelming, given my tight student budget.I am requesting a refund or reimbursement, and I am prepared to escalate this issue legally and publicly if not resolved appropriately.

    I hired a ****** and re-hired him for additional work. He sent me a code stating thank you for hiring me. Heres $10 on my nexttask with you. It was used. I then received another code after that task stating to use it with another rebooking with him. I forgot to add it and called to add it like I normally do if I forget. I spoke to ***** at around 2:20 PM today after being on hold for 48 minutes. He told me I could not use the code because I already used it. I told him it was a new message I received yesterday from the ****** after he finished the work. I rebooked him for a new job for Wednesday!. Gentleman was very combative.I asked to talk to a supervisor and he said the supervisor is going to tell you the same thing. I asked if he is refusingto let me speak to a supervisor and he told me yes because it doesnt qualify for an escalation so he refused to let me speak to a supervisor. I requested again to talk to a supervisor and he said blatantly he was not going to transfer meto a supervisor. I have never ever dealt with a company that refuse to let you talk to a supervisor and never have I dealt with an employee that blatantly said yes hes refusing to transfer me. I was inside of **** and they told me to go ahead and escalate the complaint. TaskRabbit can see the history of my projects as well as major issues that *** had where **** had to step in out of management level to rectify the problem.

    A ****** was hired and yeah, to add damage to my property. I called and was on the phone with Task For about two hours. Express some my concerns. I was asked to send pictures which I did. I've reached out to them so many times and they did not respond well. Over a period of time. I have damage to my wall in the bathroom. The ****** came before to see the job before he did it. He was acting to look around the house to see what work he needs to do so that he can come back. He originally left before the job was completed.Because he had to pick up his daughter. Meanwhile, I had to pay for all this.

As the Taskrabbit Terms of Service state (***********), Taskers are independent contractors and not direct employees. That being said, Taskrabbit offers the Taskrabbit Happiness Pledge (************) as a customer service offering to encourage continued use of the Taskrabbit Platform if a user may have a negative experience.

    Although we are committed to creating a seamless experience, as their bank reached out to confirm that the Client has filed a formal dispute, our Resolutions team has ceased any further activity on their claim, and their claim status is now "Closed".
     
    We recommend they reach out to their bank for an update on their dispute, as they will be handling this issue going forward. We also encourage the Client to contact their personal homeowner's or renter's insurance to inquire about options going forward. Thank you for your understanding.

    I used TaskRabbit in *************** and was charged $150 extra for a dumping fee that was paid through cash app per the ****** ******. I found out after that ****** misrepresented the pricing per hour also. I called the company and was told the $150 should have went through the app and not an outside source (cash app). I was told I would get an email after this was researched, but I have not heard anything back. I shouldve refunded the $150 at the least!

    On June 1, 2025, I scheduled a service through TaskRabbit with a confirmed appointment time of 3:30 PM. The assigned ****** notified me that she could not arrive at the scheduled time and repeatedly refused to provide an updated ***, despite multiple requests. Due to her inability to commit to a revised time, I was left with no option but to cancel the task and seek alternate ******* that time, TaskRabbit allowed the cancellation through their platform and initially released the hold on my card. However, on June 3, I discovered an unauthorized charge of $61.94 labeled as a cancellation fee. This charge is both inappropriate and deceptive, as no service was rendered and the ****** was clearly at fault for failing to fulfill the appointment or provide a revised arrival time.I spent over five hours attempting to resolve this through TaskRabbits support channels with no resolution. There appears to be no escalation path or formal grievance process available to customers, and no mechanism to leave feedback about TaskRabbits policies or business practices.This situation constitutes a deceptive business practicecharging consumers for services not rendered, and failing to provide meaningful customer support or remedy. I am requesting that TaskRabbit immediately refund the $61.94 fee and update their policies to protect consumers from being unfairly charged in similar situations. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will pursue additional action through appropriate regulatory channels.

    I completed a task on TaskRabbit with a total invoice of over $1,000. After submitting the invoice as instructed through the platform, TaskRabbit flagged the payment for review and placed a hold on it. I was never informed prior to invoicing that large totals like this would be subject to review or delay. There is no mention of this policy in any documentation or user guidelines that I could *************************** later told me I should have invoiced one day at a time, but I was not instructed to do so at any point before or during the job, and the platform allowed me to submit the invoice without warning or issue. I followed all the normal procedures for completing and billing the task.Additionally, the client has informed me that their card has a payment limit, and they are unable to process the invoice in its current amount. They have said they would be able to pay if TaskRabbit offered a way to split the charge but TaskRabbit has not provided a solution for this, nor have they communicated clearly with either of ********** has told me I will possibly be contacted in up to 12 business days, with no guarantee of resolution or payment. This delay is unacceptable. I rely on my income through TaskRabbit to meet basic living expenses, and this situation is putting me at risk of losing my housing.I have complete documentation of:The work completed Communication with the client The original invoice Correspondence with TaskRabbit support I am requesting immediate release of the payment or a resolution that ensures I am paid for the completed work without further delay. TaskRabbit must be transparent about its invoicing and payment policies, especially for large jobs, and support must offer actionable solutions in cases like this.

    This article advises that payments to Taskers can take up to 8 business days to process in a typical situation. However, when a Client's card isn't working, the process may take up to 5 additional business days. While we understand the process taking up to 12 business days may be frustrating, we do need to adhere to the expectations set for all Users of the platform.

    I made a transaction yesterday and the service was completed within 2 hours but the task rabbit service person put down 3 hours. He has apologized and worked to resolve with task rabbit for the refund but task rabbit has not picked up a single call or email or chat per services. I have been on hold for over 45 minutes and numerous email, text follow *** with nothing. absolutely terrible structure purposely set up in a way to trick and drain users to giving up due to no help. I have attached proof of all chats, my multiple follow *** via email and a hold timer of 45 minutes plus.

    I recently had a very disappointing experience with Taskrabbit. I hired a ****** for a job, and I discovered that he falsified the time worked, adding extra time to both the start and the end of his shift. My Ring Doorbell footage clearly shows the ****** arriving 10 minutes after he had already clocked in. To make matters worse, he added extra time at the end after he had already left my home.I provided Taskrabbit with video evidence showing his actual arrival time, which was significantly later than what he reported. Instead of taking my evidence seriously and adjusting the charges accordingly, Taskrabbits management did absolutely nothing. They even pressed me for a video of him leaving my homeignoring the fact that my Ring Doorbell doesnt capture people leaving because they dont ring the bell on the way ****** the end, Taskrabbit sided with the dishonest ******, leaving me overcharged and completely disregarded as a customer. This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I cant recommend Taskrabbit based on how they handled this situation.

    We understand and hear the Client's concerns. As noted on ticket #********, we did not receive documentation to reflect a 15-minute overcharge. When invoicing on a task, Taskers are instructed to bill a one-hour minimum and then from there can invoice in 15 minute increments. This would lead the invoice to be the 3 hours and 15 minutes that were invoiced.

    Thank you for the opportunity to respond to TaskRabbits statement regarding my complaint.


    I would like to clarify that I have already provided TaskRabbit with verifiable evidence from my Ring Doorbell that clearly shows the Taskers actual arrival time at my residence. This footage confirms that the ****** inflated the time billed by adding time at both the beginning of the shift.  He also inflated the time at the end of the shift however my Ring did not capture his departure.  The ****** added just enough time to earn him an extra 15 minutes which he does not deserve.


    Despite having this clear, timestamped video evidence, TaskRabbit has failed to take appropriate corrective action. The Taskers reported times are simply not truthful, and I find it unacceptable that TaskRabbit would stand by this inaccurate billing practice when presented with concrete proof to the contrary.


    I respectfully request that TaskRabbit revisit this matter with the seriousness it deserves and issue a refund or adjustment reflecting the actual time the ****** was on-site, as proven by the Ring Doorbell footage.

    On May 14, 2025, I needed a couch moved from my daughters house to my home (12.3 miles away). I got on Taskrabbit to hire movers. I located ******** *. to help with the move. The quote was $56.78/hr (1 hour minimum). The move was scheduled for May 15, 2024 at 4:00 pm. The move took 2 men and was completed in approximately 45 minutes at 4:45 pm. Once completed, I was asked to pay in cash. I was told the cost was $224.00. Significantly higher than the $56./hr quoted on website. ******** tried to tell me there was a 2-hour minimum, so I argued and stated that was not on the website. I understand that it took 2 men and I should be obligated to pay an additional $56/hr, but no more. ******** told me I owed, I believe $148. Nevertheless, I paid $160.00, because all I had was $20s and I was so upset about the over pricing I just wanted to be done with him. I did not receive any change and I certainly was not aware that my credit card was going to be charged. Then after ******** left, I received a receipt, which only indicated a payment of $77.71, which also included a charge for *************** Fee (whatever that means). Why was I charged so much for a task that should have only cost me $112.00? Not only was I overcharged but there is no transparency regarding additional charges. I attempted to contact their customer service which basically is no help at all. There is nothing they can do about a refund. They can only escalate a complaint.
