1 starWe went to Home Depot @ ******************************************* tonight 7/3/24 to buy a BBQ and was charged for a NEW propane tank.. as I go outside to pick it up, they give me this garbage tank that was DEFINITELY NOT new or even a little new, or used.. this thing was complete garbage, bumped, bruised, dented, I couldnt even see an expiration date on it, I dont even know if it shouldve been in circulation, they were probably just trying to get rid of it.. I did not want to take it so the employee told me to go inside and get someone with a key to come open so I can pick out a new one. I think this guy that came out was the night manager there. The worst customer experience I have EVER encountered. He refused to open the other lockers so I can get the new tank I had purchased, continued to be ironic and sarcastic saying that we will not find any better tanks, and if I do to let him know.. is this how Home Depot conducts their business??? I told him that I paid for a new tank so I want a new tank or I would just return everything and get my money back.. and he said that he didnt not care what we did. So I went inside and returned everything.. I am disappointed and disgusted, BBQs are not cheap but whether I was buying something cheap or not, this night manager apparently did not care and he was very rude. I cannot believe Home Depot employs ppl like this. All the other employees there wanted us to get a new tank but the night manager DID NOT.. profusely not to give me a new tank I paid $67 for. I am NEVER going back there and will also deter anyone else from going there too. I went to ***** and they were very nice over there, maybe someone should do something about enforcing some rules about basic customer **********************.Review fromKT T

2 starsI am writing a review on the Company Store, now a part of the Home Depot. When I ordered pajamas and a nightshirt from the company to be shipped to my home in *************, sales tax was added to the total purchase. I contacted the customer ********************** and asked why. The response was that pajamas were not classified as a general use clothing. I don't understand it. I double checked the Mass.gov website, but could not find anything that described pajamas were not a general use clothing. I have ordered from other clothing companies like Lands End, *****************************, LL **** and such, but they never added sales tax on pajamas or any nightwear, which were treated as general use clothing items.If I misunderstood something, I would like to know, but based on my past purchase experiences with other companies, it seems that they have misinterpreted the Massachusetts tax law.Review fromDon L

1 starI purchased carpet and installation with Home Depot in ******, **. I learned that they contracted with another company, ****** Installations, who then contracted out to individuals. Included in the installation was the price to haul off the old carpet. When the contractors arrived, they refused to haul off the old carpet citing its condition. But a further review of there van showed it was too full to haul off the old carpet anyway. It was quite clear the decision was predetermined not to do so. So it will now cost me additional after already having paid for it. I believe this was a very deceitful and dishonest practice that *** be common for Home Depot. They even promote this service in their contract, apparently to aid in making a sale. Had I known this, I would have purchased from another source. I spoke to *****, at the Home Depot store who identified herself as a manager, but she was not helpful or showed any concern over my experience.The Home Depot

1 starI wen to home depot on slo and ask the old lady whose wearing glass on july 2 around 2pm and she is in charge in the paint section on that time and also live next to us. Although I don't really know her but recognize that she is my next door neighbor. As I walk towards her I nicely asked her that we purchased a paint to them but we need some help to adjust the color because my auntie didn't like the color and her responded to me is" CUT THE **** SHE IS NOT YOUR AUNT" so I nicely replied to her 'Oh yes she is my Auntie" and she said "NO SHE'S NOT" so I replied to her 'Yes she is my Aunt on my dad's side" and she said in a sarcastic way replied to me " OH REALLY NOW SHE HAVE A REALLY A RELATIVE LIVING IN THAT HOUSE NOW. I was offended bacause I don't know her and for her to act that way is very offensive and instead of getting a good customer ********************** is the way she acted is bad and very poor. I don't wanted to engaged a bad conversation to her so I left and stayed in my car and let my husband deal with her. And also while she is helping us she seems like she doesn't like her job and in not even pleasant to talk too regarding some paint issues that were trying to get some help. She had a bad customer ************************* make my day really bad with this lady. Nobody deserved to be treated that way as a customer...The Home Depot

1 starWe ordered a refrigerator on June 24 and our nightmare began with these people. They were to deliver and install the refrigerator June 28. Their driver showed up to our home, did not call or even come to the door. He sat in his truck, too a picture of our house, forged our signature and fraudulently claimed he delivered the refrigerator. We complained hours before their delivery stopped., The driver lied saying we rescheduled the delivery and that he called. We have records to prove he never called. We insisted he return the with refrigerator and he actually refused to do his job. He wouldn't come back out nor would they send a different driver. Then they tell us they can't get it to us for another 4 days., Unacceptable. Do you know when we called to make a formal complaint some associate *** told us we should have been sitting on the porch waiting for him to show up from 11:3) to 3:30 in 100-degree weather. If I had done a job like that at work, I would have been fired on the spot. They wouldn't even reimburse us for $400 worth of food we lost because of that man. , we cancelled that order and will never deal with their delivery service again. They forged our signature! The driver committed fraud claiming he delivered the item. People go to prison for doing things like that. That *** associate told us it wasn't our business what was being done about that driver. Anyone wanting a delivery from Home Depot: Beware. I don't recommend that you deal with these people until they change their business practices.,. They refused to give me a corporate number or allow us to speak to a manager. The number they gave us was for telemarketing just to get us off the phone. We lodged a formal complaint, and no one has even called us to apologize or recognize the issue at all. Stay away from these people in ********* area.The Home Depot

1 starHome Depot employees are absolutely incompetent or dont care. We purchased a gas stove from them and they failed to inform us that they do not conduct installations themselves, until after we made the purchase. They then had a contractor contact us and quoted a price of a minimum of $350.00 for a ten-minute installation. Of course, we declined and decided to do it ourselves since it was an extremely simple installation. Unfortunately, when the stove was delivered it was severely damaged. It was clearly damaged prior to transport due to the fact that there was no damage to the box its self. Home Depot said that they would refund part of the price if we accepted it. We did not and they were clearly upset because they had to take it back. We then cancelled the order and bought another stove from Lowes at a better price and far better service. Weve spent tens of thousands of dollars at Home Depot. But never again!The Home Depot

1 starHello, we ordered windows for my 81 year old mother in law last September. Paid an enormous price, up front, because the salesman said "these are the Cadillac of windows ".Not a problem. However when I called in November because we hadn't heard back, the had not started the process yet because it got over looked some how. Ok, no problem. Lost a couple months, but, you know things happen. Months later they come and do the whole house in one day. They didn't finish. There is some windows that don't work, the doors are not lined up, the trim is not finished, and the the screening was not fitted properly. That was ******** It's July now. I have called many times, and escalated it, and never get a call back or anything. Just an apology and a promise that they wil get right back to me. Super disappointed! I paid more thinking that if it's Home Depot, of course we're safe. I was wrong. They took advantage of an 81 year old retired lady on a fixed income. Way to goThe Home Depot

1 starI ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot, but when they were delivered, the dryer was damaged. I went to the store to cancel the order, and now I have to complete three separate transactions to get my refund. Home Depots customer ********************** call ********************** is the worst Ive ever experienced. When I call, the representatives have an attitude just because I ask questions. They dont seem to understand that without customers, they wouldnt have jobs. From now on, Ill be making my big purchases at Lowes instead.The Home Depot

Despite my dedication and hard work, I was unjustly terminated due to a false report made to the AwareLine.I have always upheld the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in my role, so it was shocking and distressing to be accused of something I did not do. Instead of conducting a thorough investigation or giving me a fair chance to defend myself, **** Depot swiftly decided to terminate my employment based on unverified and inaccurate information.This experience has not only affected my livelihood but has also damaged my reputation unjustly. 1 starDear Customer care,I am deeply disappointed by the discriminatory and rude behavior of the cashier ***** at The Home Depot in ************, **, located at ******************, on June 30, 2024, at 10:53 a.m. ***** was not only incompetent and rough but also exhibited sharp and dismissive behavior towards me simply because of my skin color. I believe The Home Depot is committed to serving all customers equally, regardless of their race or ethnicity. ***** refused to scan items with barcodes facing her and insisted I should know the prices instead of looking them up in the system. This is not acceptable customer **********************. Despite being a paying customer, I was treated with disrespect and inequality. It's particularly disheartening that *****, who herself is black, would engage in discriminatory behavior. As a result of this negative experience, I will be taking my business elsewhere, where I am treated with dignity and fairness.Respectfully, I am a customer of yours for 30 years, spending a significant amount every week, which you do not want to lose due to *****' discrimination based on my skin color and her incompetence as a cashier.The Home Depot
