1 starNever again. Home Depot can't seem to get it right. They have messed up 3 large orders. A couple years ago I had to replace my patio door. I wanted a standard door, instead I received a custom door. Not a big deal since tgey fixed tge price. The door they ordered had the handle on the wrong side, therefore they had to reorder a second door. My order was delayed.Last year, I ordered a new fridge. I noticed that the water dispenser spilled water on the floor every time it was used. I called within 24 hours to return it. Home Depot scheduled a pick up date. In the meantime, I ordered a replacement fridge from Home Depot. A man came to my door to remove the first fridge, however that was not the assignment that he received. He thought he was supposed to fix the fridge. He did not speak English, therefore we communicated with the help of ****** translate. He was alone and did not have a truck,therefore he could not take the fridge. A few days later my new fridge arrived. They exchanged the old one for the new one and brought it back to Home Depot. There was some form of miscommunication because Home Depot thought that I had kept the previous fridge. They refused to refund me until I could prove it. It took 3 months and numerous frustrating phone calls to get a refund. Earlier this year we gave Home Depot a third chance. We bought a dishwasher. It was supposed to arrive on January 17th. We received an email a couple days prior indicating that it was on back order and will arrive on January 31st. Things happen, we did not complain. Yesterday, we received an email that it will arrive on February 10th. We were offered a $50 gift card for the inconvenience ONLY IF we do not cancel our order. This is insult to injury after 3 times. $50 is laughable at this point. Who knows if we will receive it on the 10th or not. I've only ordered 3 large items from home depot. Each one was a terrible experience. Never again will I order any home improvement or appliance item from them.The Home Depot

1 starOrdered a front door September 1st that was supposed to be in within 70 days. Approximately 70 days later I received a phone call that said it came in damaged and they were reordering it and I would be here January 20th and I was fine with that but when I had not heard anything by the 22nd I called the store and they said it should be here any day now and they would send me tracking information asap. After not hearing anything back I went to the store on January 31st( today) and after talking with several employees I was informed that it MIGHT be here March 15th. Why no one had called me to tell me this I dont understand. I guess if I had not went to the store I wouldnt have been told this. When we purchased the door the ******** said hey why dont you sign up for OUR credit card and you can save a little bit, which I did. After all this frustration I decided I just wanted my money back. Now everyone changes their tone and says oh thats not OUR credit card thats an agreement between you and ******** and you need to contact them and SOMETIMES they will send you a check refund instead of getting store credit!!!! Thats so wrong in so many ways. Customer ********************** is definitely not a priority to them. 1 starI purchased new windows to replace the old windows in my home from Home Depot. After the windows were installed the city inspector came to do the inspection. The inspection FAILED!!! I took it upon myself to do some research on city codes, IRC and installation requirements with the AAMA/WDMA/CSA. I contacted Home Depot not only with what the inspector has found that failed, but also with other requirements that were not meet. This has been going on for 8 months while I am still making payments on the windows. Home Depot has not taken this seriously and is dragging their feet to fix it. Just a list of none compliant requirements by code:INSTULATION NOT FOLLOWED BY MANUFACTURE DIRECTIONS WINDOWS NOT LEVEL, SQUARE, OR PLUM NO SHIMS IMPROPER MOUNTING SCREWS NO FLASHING NO INSULATION IMPROPER CAUKING NO BACKER RODS FOR CAUKING The caulking has cracked twice on multiple windows in the 8 months of the installation. I have outside air penetrating in my home. This is causing high electric bill, pollen in the home, and potentially water in the walls. The interior walls have cracked in the corners by the windows and flashing on the corners. I have miss work several days to meet with Home Depot representatives, installation team and a representative from the window manufacture several times. While in the meantime I am still making payments on the epic failure of an installation that has not meet with city codes and still not passing inspection. I am only giving 1 star because it is required, but I would not leave a star if I could.The Home Depot

1 starFormer employee of The Home Depot for over 4 years.I would describe it as: amazing when its good, when its bad, look for a new job.This company allows employees to have money taken from their paychecks and endangers them to the point of almost death. ***************** is too cowardly and will get someone injured or killed because they won't have an open conversation with troublesome employees, and theyd rather sweep everything under the rug and pretend nothing is happening and praying it wont. Management has ignored multiple emails, meetings they even agreed to. So they know money has been taken from employees, that our lives have been endangered. They DO NOT CARE. Management is either ALLOWED, or TOLD to lie, without consequence.The Home Depot

1 star**January 27, 2025** **To Whom It May Concern,** I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the Maytag washer and dryer I purchased from Home Depot at the ********, ******** store in December 2024. The washer began malfunctioning shortly after delivery, causing significant inconvenience. The washer was delivered on Christmas Eve, and when we attempted to use it on December 26th, 2024, it failed to properly wring out the clothes, leaving them soaking wet. After contacting the store and corporate customer **********************, I was informed that Home Depots return policy for appliances is limited to 48 hours, which was never communicated to me during the purchase process. Home Depot arranged for a replacement Maytag washer, delivered on January 4th, 2025. Unfortunately, the replacement washer also malfunctioned. On January 13th, 2025, it failed to wring out even a single shirt, and by January 24th, 2025, it stopped working entirely. I spoke with a manager named ******, who advised me to contact Maytag directly for a diagnostic and refund. However, ****** was closed until January 27th, 2025, and my service appointment was scheduled for January 30th, 2025. I have now been without a working washer for nearly a week. Additionally, I encountered poor customer **********************. The Assistant Manager, *****, was dismissive and rude, making no effort to resolve the situation. **Resolution Request**: I am requesting a full refund for both the faulty washer and dryer. 1 starLike many others, I ordered an appliance online and paid for delivery. I chose 1/27 for delivery, and at the very end of my delivery window, the end of the day, they called to let me know they would not deliver to me and they'd have to reschedule me for 2 days out, 1/29. They refused to give me any kind of time frame, expecting that I take another full day off work to sit around all day waiting on them. There was no apology, no offer to compensate me or even refund the delivery charge, just excuses and a poor attitude. These guys are con artists and should be avoided.The Home Depot

1 starI ordered a matching washer and a dryer set with delivery and installation because I live in another state and cannot be there all the time. Delivery showed up, they spoke zero English, had to use their translator on the phone. They hooked up dryer, they couldn't get it to work. I closed the dryer door all the way after their numerous futile attempts to get it to turn on and it worked fine. They hooked up hose for washer, turned on washer without hooking up drain hose, shot water all over floors in two rooms, they used our blankets to soak up water mess trying to hide their mistake. They then hooked up everything correctly but could not get washer to work.I had to call HD for a replacement machine. A week later a new delivery shows up, technicians agree that the first machine is no good but did not bring a replacement. They disconnect broken machine and take it away.I call HD again for a replacement machine. A week later new guys with new machine show up. They drop off machine and tell me they can't test it because the valves are leaking. Hilarious!! The valves were not leaking the first time they installed the machine or the time they came back to disconnect the machine, just this third time. I asked them to cancel the entire order and they said they can only take back the washer because my time had expired on the dryer. I am furious and want the set to ******** Brazilian wife called because she was very upset about this service and told them we should not have to wait a week each time and that we had to fly back to our jobs in three days and the manager said "That's your problem not mine": and hung up on her. This does not happen if she doesn't have an accent. It is BS!Representative said on the phone today that Home Depot can send another tech out to try again. The fact is they do not have any qualified installers working for their delivery service. It is too bad because I used to love that store as a contractor and as a home owner. One star is too many!!!!The Home Depot

1 starThey are the absolute worst corporation ever my elderly parents are in their 80s - received a faulty ** washing machine - in September! Brand new should work perfectly! The motor was shot! For 4 months my parents have been going to the laundromat!!! Why? Because ** AND HOME DEPOT dont care! No credit given and no replacement machine! This is absolutely ridiculous and wrong!!The Home Depot

1 starIn store customer ********************** was great during purchase of a new washer and dryer... delivery service not so much. Communication for first day of delivery was great... received notification the night before (text and email), could track progress of delivery on the first day of delivery, and were notified, as promised, of arrival 30 minutes prior to delivery. First delivery team was good...polite and efficient, however, dryer has damage on the door, front panel, and front leg, which was pointed out to the delivery team. Pictures were taken and the delivery team lead said (in broken English) to call the store for a discount. Once the delivery team left we noticed that there was more significant damage on the front panel (like the entire unit was dropped), and that the power cord was attached without a strain relief clip on the back electrical panel (a code violation). Called the delivery service to request a replacement dryer AND specifically asked that the replacement be installed with the required power cord strain relief clip. Customer ********************************************* organized for replacement dryer to be delivered the following weekend. Received a text (no associated email) of delivery the night before, told to expect delivery the next day from 11 AM to 3 PM...no further updates were received. Called the customer ********************** line TWICE to be told that they must be on the way... they were not...in fact they never showed up. Third call to customer ********************** at 4PM confirmed that the delivery team was not coming to deliver a replacement dryer. Had to reschedule and the earliest appt was a week away. I really don't think we will ever see a replacement dryer. We should have refused the first delivery, but decided to give the company a chance to make things right... WRONG decision. I would not recommend using this business unless you can obtain the product you are looking for physically at the store (which is not an option at Home Depot for large appliances).The Home Depot

1 starWe purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot with the home delivery option. The delivery team that was supposed to deliver it never actually delivered it. They kept making excuses why they couldnt deliver. Home Depot delivery is terrible as seen in their very negative reviews. Very disappointed.The Home Depot
