1 starHome Depot pitched us and sold us on a beautiful kitchen with a FIVE (5) day job with a quote of almost $23,000. What we got was a terrible job by the 1st crew of 5-6 men, that required a complete tear down by the 2nd crew of 1 man, who stated to us, THEY DIDNT FOLLOW THE PLANS. This cluster of a job took up 8 days and another 5 days for the correction. A massive inconvenience that required I EMPTY out my cabinets & PUT EVERYTHING back.. TWICE.After the 1st crew left we discovered many issues: DOORS: had wrong size hinges causing doors to swing wide open hitting wall, hitting each other, hitting fridge. Several side by side doors didnt align. One was inch lower than others. Several doors were installed crooked. One door had a sharp corner edge. Looked to me like it may have been dropped.DRAWERS: TWO sets when in the open position hit. HANDLES on **************** were installed crooked; Vertically and Horizontally. GOOP *************** was dropped all over top of fridge, stove top handles, microwave STOVE: k**** were NOT covered up Now I have issues with front right burner.WASHROOM DRYER: Machine got pushed too far back into the wall and kinked the gas line.CABINET GLASS DOORS REPLACED: 4 doors w/ glass were changed to solid wood/material - But shelves were not installed on one.CABINET SHELVES/WALLS/CEILING/COUNTERS/APPLIANCES ************* left everywhere.HOLES holes were left in frames where old hinges were removed because new holes were drilled to install NEW hinges in new location. (Now they just look tacking and unfinished with holes)PIECE OF WOOD CUT SHORT a 90 inch long strip of wood at one end was cut short, about 1/4 inch too short and the gap was filled with white calking, and at the other end a extra piece of wood was not cut right.HD decided to redo the ENTIRE job. But we were still left with 4 projects; Repair our burner, Paint the wall panel, Clean all walls of dust, Patch up or replace the chipped tyle. The Home Depot

1 starI am filing a formal complaint against Home Depot regarding their unacceptable handling of my recent order. Home Depot falsely accepted my order for an item that was apparently out of stock, kept me waiting for over two weeks, and then abruptly canceled my order without my consent.Their refusal to provide a reasonable resolution demonstrates poor business practices and a lack of customer care.Details of the Complaint: Order Date: 02/06/2025 Order Number: WG81473519 Issue: Home Depot accepted my order, notified me of a delay, and then canceled it after making me wait for over two weeks. Unacceptable Response: Instead of honoring my order when the item is restocked, they only offered to add me to an email notification list. They refused to reinstate my order, provide a substitute item, or offer any compensation for the inconvenience. Why This is a Problem:1. Deceptive Business Practice - Home Depot accepted an order they could not fulfill and only notified me after a long delay. If the item was unavailable, they should not have processed my order in the first place.2. Lack of Customer Consideration - I waited in good faith, expecting my item to be delivered.Instead, they canceled my order without providing a satisfactory resolution.3. Failure to Resolve the Issue - Despite multiple attempts to contact their customer ********************** and request a fair resolution (such as prioritizing my order when restocked), they have refused to help.Requested Resolution: Home Depot should honor my original order and fulfill it when the item is back in stock. If the original item cannot be provided, they should offer a comparable replacement at the same price. If neither of the above is possible, I expect compensation or a store credit for the inconvenience caused by their misleading business practice.I believe that Home Depot's handling of this matter is unfair to consumers, and I am seeking assistance in holding them accountable. I request that BBBinvestigate this issueReview fromJane C

1 starIt appears the ********************* as referenced on ******* (aka Aus-Tex) ************* website, located at *************************************, that began in 2016 with Home Depot, is for Home Depot to sell the expensive, yet inferior ******* Appliances to hard working, unsuspecting consumers. This complaint is being filed with the BBB because unfortunately, I have become entrapped in such a complicit operation and a dangerous one at that, when I purchased a ******* 24 in., ******************* Cooktop appliance with 4 burners, Model # HGC2401ST, sold through Home Depot. Complicit because people who have purchased a ******* Appliance through Home Depot, have given review(s) of 1 star and if Home Depot cared, they would investigate Hallmans bad reviews. It would lead them to check the ************************ and find that the BBB has revoked **************************** accreditation, applying an F because ****************************:1 - Failure to Respond to 8 complaint(s) filed against business;2 - Length of time business has taken to respond to complaint(s);3 - 61 complaint(s) filed against business.Dangerous because a burner cover, warped and created a hazardous situation, as the gas flame was NOT contained. When the gas burner was turned on, the flame would shoot up 1-2 feet over the pot on the burner. This could have resulted in personal injury or catastrophic damage to my ******* if spending several hundred dollars on this appliance, as well as the cost to pay a licensed plumber to install it, was not enough, in an effort to mitigate the situation, I called **** to repair the cooktop, only to spend more time/money to find out that a huge conglomerate like **** could NOT even source the parts to repair this expensive, yet inferior appliance. An appliance that should have a life span of 14 years or more but 3 shorts years into ownership became a hazard.[UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NOT ENO0UGH SPACE HERE TO TYPE EVERYTHING THAT OCCURRED]Review fromSteven L

1 starI was quoted an amount of $23261.30 for Kraftmaid kitchen cabinets, countertops, and labor via email on Dec 19th. Yet when I went to make the final payment I was charged $26397.36. I was informed this was a mathematical error. I did not try to fight it, but this is a rather large error in Home Depots favor. This is not right. A stock holder and veteran.A member of Home Depot management team contacted me to inform me that they the increase was due to lack of communication informing of the price change. This was never communicated by the kitchen designer until the day of payment. So let the buyer beware and insist on a legal quote and look elsewhere for you cabinets other than Home Depot for a price that does not keep changing. The Home Depot

1 starI purchased the dishwasher and installation service from Home Depot. 1st installation technician couldnt find electricity breaker in the panel box, he said, Im not an electrician. Then, we spend hundreds dollars to hire an electrician to find the breaker. Then, the Second installation technician came, he said our plumbing system too old, he doesnt know how to install. He called someone to help him finished job by use a video. After that, He left with big mass. However , the dishwasher still doesnt work. We scheduled third **** We were waiting. He didnt come. Now, we are waiting for the fourth man to come. In so many years, we like Home Depot a lot. This time we are really really disappointed. The people are so incompetent and cant do their job. Does Home Depot hires the right people? Are they still follow DEI?The Home Depot

1 starDuring Black Friday weekend of 2024 I purchased a dryer and picked it up on 12/1/2024. I have used the dryer every week since then (10 weeks) as I am a single mother with two teenage children. About five weeks ago I started noticing that the clothes were not drying completely without two cycles of the drying time. I didn't think much of it. This past week it would take three tries to have them dry. This is a brand new dryer and it should not take them many times to dry the clothes in the dryer. Having a weekend off I took the time to go to Home Depot and discuss this with the Home Depot Associate who sold me the dryer. They immediately told me it's not their problem. All problems after 48 hours need to be taken up with the Company (this one was Hotpoint (the brand of the dryer). Asked them why, considering it was only less than 90 days old and what kind of business did they run. They said it was not their problem after 48 hours and I had to take it up with Hotpoint and handed me the 800 number. I asked to speak to a Manager and they informed me he was too busy. I insisted he make time. I was then escorted up front and was very rudely informed again, it's not their problem and what didn't I understand. If it was my car, would I take it back to the dealer? I said, yes, I would. They gave me a card, with the number to Hotpoint and told me to take it up to them and walked away from me and asked why "I looked like I had a problem." When you spend $500 for an appliance that stops working after 5 weeks I think you can understand why I have a problem and why I don't want it to be "fixed." It shouldn't have broken. I tried to explain this to the Home Depot person and they just said to call the 800 number. The Home Depot

1 starHello, this is ****** ****** and I recently but I guess not too recently had Home Depot install a new dryer, but I've encountered a few issues. The new dryers flow sense indicator blinks frequently, and the circuit breaker had to be restarted following the installation. Additionally, a working dryer was removed during the process. When I inquired about this, the technician explained that the removal was necessary, although the unit was still functional. I am not sure why he forced us to still remove it. I offered him that he could just leave it somewhere else, but he said he needed to move it. I am requesting a credit or compensation to address both the inconvenience caused by the installation issues and the removal of a perfectly working dryer. Wj68352184 Nov 6th 2024. Not sure why it matters if I called 24/48 hrs beforehand. I have many things going on and worrying about someone straight taking my dryer that was working fine is insane. As well as I have witnesses that can state it the dryer was fine when the breaker get turned back on. I demand compensation. The Home Depot

1 starTwo weeks ago, Home Depot, *********** **, delivered a new ********************* While attempting to remove the old fridge, they broke the water line to the ice maker & flooded My laminate floor which made it all bubble up from the water. Tried to blame Me saying I moved the fridge. Well thats not possible being I'm on chemo therapy for end stage cancer.. I can barley move a dining chair. Now ************************** refuses to cover the repair of the floor. The delivery supervisor (*****) came out & agreed to pay $200 to the guy who fixed the water line. Well he didn't, but claims He did. Back to the damage, ******** claims that the form signed was a COVER ALL damage waver, when I was told by the delivery guy that the form was for the refusal for delivery on the damaged gas range. Needless to say, I'll NEVER give My business to HD. I've worked in retail management for 40+ years and this is crappy customer satisfaction and a great way to lose customers.Lowes is bad enough but they'll get My business now unless this mess they made gets rectified. HOME DEPOT, this is not how you take care of ***************** need to get your collective c*** together and get back to the basics of customer **********************. The only reason I gave 1 star is ya can't give no stars..The Home Depot

1 starI purchased a warranty for my refrigerator and the ice maker has broken down 4 times. From the sales *** to the warranty claim specialist will tell you the 4th time they have a lemon policy they will ***lace the appliance or credit the money back. Now they said it's at their discretion, we'll why even mention the 4th no lemon policy? Why even mention the policy if it's just a discretion? The terms and conditions state the discretion is wether the appliance is ***laced or credit given back. I will never purchase another item from home depot again through my personal account or my company's pro account. I may have lost this battle but home depot will lose a lot more. The Home Depot

1 starMr. **** I am writing to you personally because I have had zero success with your customer ********************** since my purchase. In early January I had a home energy assessment done and one of the recommendations was to upgrade to a hybrid hot water heater. The water heater that fit the bill is a Rheem Hybrid water heater sold only by Home Depot in my area of central *************. I went into your store in *********** on 26 Jan 2025 to view and purchase the heater. One of your staff explained the functions of the heater well and I wanted it. I asked about delivery and he said if I ordered online shipping was free. I ordered it and paid via **** with $3,202.75 debited to my account. On 29 Jan 2025 I received notice of shipping and a copy of the invoice. It also stated I should receive delivery by February 1. On Feb 1 after close of business hours and no water heater I tried the tracking # and the heater was out for delivery.Same result on Feb 2 & Feb 3.On Feb 4 I reached out to one of your store employees and he informed me the heater was in your Moncton warehouse and had been there for sometime. I informed customer support where the heater was and when could I expect it. I was told in another 4/6 business days. I asked that the order be cancelled so I could buy locally and get on with the project. They said they would accelerate cancelation and pay AFTER they received the heater back from me. Which I never received. So here I am, no water heater, paid out on ****, reno in limbo because "we don't know where it is". At that time I demanded my payment back. On 6 Feb I received a notice I would not receive a **** refund until Home Depot received the heater back from me.Home Depot can not track their own products but won't give a refund until they receive it back. The Home Depot
