1 starPlaced an order with Home Depot on 06/28 for a washer, dryer and a refrigerator to be delivered on 08/17. We didn't get our order completed until 10/06 due to issues with receiving a dented up broken refrigerator and terrible delivery. On 08/17, Home Depot showed up to our home with all the appliances. The washer and dryer were fine and it was installed (we later found out from another delivery driver it was installed wrong....that still isn't resolved.) The refrigerator had dents all over it as well as the handle that allowed you to access beverages was also broken. The delivery team tried to get us to accept the delivery without noting the issue with the refrigerator, I refused to sign until it was noted that the refrigerator would need to be replaced. I called the customer ********************** line and was told that we would be scheduled for a replacement in Sept. When our new delivery date came the delivery driver showed up at the end of the window with no partner and said he couldn't install the new refrigerator because he needed help and asked to leave the refrigerator in the garage. I was on the phone with customer ********************** at the same time, the agent told us it would need to go back on the truck and we would be scheduled for another delivery 09/16. I was frustrated and voiced my concerns to the agent, who said that upon successful delivery Home Depot would follow up and try to remedy the issue up to compensation. I agreed to wait for the delivery to be successful. Our next scheduled delivery was moved up to 09/10 where the delivery team first installed the wrong refrigerator and questioned if we had the proper washer and dryer because there was another one on the truck with our name. WASNT EVEN THE SAME BRAND OR COLOR! After some back and forth they found our refrigerator and installed. Unfortunately the water wasn't working. We were scheduled for a follow up 10/06 which by then my husband fixed the issue himself. We still haven't heard a word from Home Depot. Avoid!Review fromGreg K

1 starI have had the worse experience with Home Depot. I had brought a refrigerator in July it was delivered never got off the truck so to their delivery service people wouldnt take doors off to fit on kitchen. Therefore took them several weeks to refund me brought a 2nd refrigerator that fit with doors. It was delivered with dents all over it. I refused it. Talked to HD they told me to call ******* who said I would have to wait months. When I have already been waiting since July, I went to Home Depot for refund they told me it would take days. I get a call tell me refunds there go into the store no one including management could figure out how to give me my refund I was at store over an hour. They told me to come back next day but I got a. All the day I went in but later in evening telling I can come back for refund. I went back still couldnt figure out how to refund me. I still have not gotten my money so I can go somewhere else for a refrigerator. I dont understand how Home Depot could do this to a customer. I will be taking my business to Lowes that was the worse experience I have had with big box storesReview fromForrest S.

1 starI bought a custom front door back on April 5th of 22 with a single bore hole for the deadbolt. Come the beginning of June, I call to see where the door is and turns out, theyve had it in the back for almost a month. They then tell me that they would be giving me a call to schedule the installation, well I didnt get a call for a couple of weeks so I went in to the store myself. I was told the person who schedules this is hard to get a hold of I got the number and they answered within 3 rings. The door arrives at my house with TWO bore holes. I reject and start the process over. A couple months pass again AND THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENS. TWO BORE HOLES. I then have to go back into the store and speak with an employee on how we can make this right and they said they would waive the installation fee. Order the door for the third time and start the wait again. The door comes in and its been THREE WEEKS since its arrival and I still have no communication. Not to mention theyve been holding my $5k for this door and have made no attempt at a resolution. *** spent over $10k this year alone here. Im taking my business elsewhere aka to Lowes. I have already ordered 8 doors from Lowes and they have been perfect so far. Im a real estate investor with a growing portfolio, so I will be taking my ten of thousands of dollars a year to Lowes.Review fromKimberly G

1 starI purchased a GE stackable washer and dryer for my elderly grandparents, as they can no longer go up and down the stairs to their basement to do laundry anymore. Set was delivered on Thursday, first load of laundry started on Friday, washer will not spin out. 5 days later it is still sitting full of water. Contacted home depot within 24 hrs of delivery, was told a new unit was ordered and we would be contacted within 48 hrs with a delivery date. Its now 5 days later and we are being refused a new unit and told we need to wait a week for a technician to come look at it. Absolutely horrible customer experience all the way around. We have purchased almost $10k in appliances over the last 6 months from Home Depot and will NEVER purchase from them again.Review fromJeffrey

3 starsWe had an ******** patio door ordered in Feb of 2022.It came into the store in early Aug 2022 and sat there for a month before they notified the installer. When they came to install the door, there was no hardware, screen and screen track. The bracket was the wrong one for the door.The next day the contractor got the rest of the items that they forgot to load from thr day before. Now, it's the wrong screen track and still no bracket. They are suppose to let us have the one from the display model, 10 days later, still no bracket. Meanwhile door is not secure.They never call us. It's always on us. 1 starHome Depot sole me a frigidaire refrigerator manufactured by Electrolux and I've only had it three weeks. After week two, the freezer door started popping open when the refrigerator was closed. Home Depot would not refund me and stated that I had to have some attempt to repair it first. Electrolux sent a technician (AAA Appliance) out to repair it. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful and stated that they realigned it but would not say the door still would not close. Actually, after that repair the door releases on it's own now where as it use to pop open when the refrigerator door was closed. When I contacted Electrolux again, they scheduled for another appliance compliance company (Lil *************) to come out, they cancelled. I called Electrolux again and they schedule someone from AAA Appliance and they rejected the order. When I went back to Home Depot with my concern, they stated that I was not eligible for a return or refund ($1,135.34) I am very dissatisfied with this defaulted refrigerator that neither Home Depot and Electrolux choose not to be accountable for and I haven't had it one month.Gwendolyn G.

1 starWe made an appointment for someone from Home Depot in ******, ** (store #****) to come to our home to give us a consultation for sliding glass doors. First, the guy who helped us (can't remember his name) told us our appointment was for 12pm. My husband left work to be home and I left my son's field trip to make sure I was home in time. After they did not show, we called to confirm it was for noon. We were then told the employee actually booked us for 1pm. We then waited until 1pm and still, no one showed. Finally, at 1:40pm, my husband went back to work and called Home Depot. He spoke with the Senior Manager, ******, who told him that he would let the sales team know about the incident and someone "may or may not" call back in a few days to talk about it. He basically blew us off. We spent hours of our day and left work and a school event to be home. My husband lost 2 hours of work time (which equals money). Then we spent 35 minutes on the phone just to be told that. They have no respect for their client's time and it is absolutely ridiculous.The Home Depot

1 starHome Depot uses predatory business tactics to sell you products and then refuses to refund or exchange them. Their delivery and installation teams will not properly inspect items and will move your delivery date so you are unprepared for your appliances to be delivered. They made sure to sell us a "Standard" depth refrigerator which is much larger than a regular counter and would never fit in a "Standard" kitchen. The delivery team will expect that you have disconnected your old appliances before they come, Home Depot does not tell you this when you buy it, so you may need to have a plumber come out to disconnect your dishwasher or refrigerator before they come. Home Depot will tell you that if your appliances do not work for you, then you are welcome to purchase another one from them at a small discount. They will not refund you for the appliances, even if it is within the 48 hour window they claim to have. The only nice thing I can say about them is that the manager I talked to was very protective of her employees. I would never buy from this company again.The Home Depot

1 starI purchased a hybrid hot water heater that came with an instant rebate that is covered through eversource and **********************. No cost to Home Depot or the manufacturer. They would not honor my military discount. They get the full price on this water heater and do not give a veteran a discount. Very shady business practice. Going to be giving lowes my business for now on.The Home Depot
