1 starI selected Home Depot, Design services for a cabinet refacing and countertop replacement in July of 2021. The duration of the job was listed as 3-5 days in the contract. They entered my home to begin the work on Oct, 8 2021. Today, MORE THAN 500 DAYS LATER the work is still not completed and what has been completed is of subpar standards. High level decision makers hide behind their front line workers. Its nearly IMPOSSIBLE to elevate issues. They literally tell you, no, I wont give you my bosss contact info. You have to call ************** To add insult to injury, K ************** manager, sent a (unofficial) letter to me, heaped with typos, and threatening cease and desist & harassment action against US for pressing them to complete our final paperwork, as they promised they would for months without being delivered. Threatening customers with legal action for chasing them down to reconcile their project is outrageous and should tell you everything you need to know about Home Depot and they way they do business. The unfulfilled promises, poor communication, lack of project management, inept workmanship, and unfamiliarity with the products they are installing is egregious.The Home Depot

1 starI bought 9 sets of twinkling icicle soft white outdoor Christmas lights from *********** Within days on 2 of the stings only half the lights lit up. I returned them to ********** and bought 2 more to replace the defective strings. Within 1 month of purchase, I now have 6 more strings that only half light up. Holiday decor items are only exchangeable for 3 days. So I have wasted over $350 in lights that did not even last 1 season. These are not worth purchasing and ********** should be refunding customers for items that are obviously defective beyond the 30 day imposed by ***********Review fromRobert A

1 starI bought a Therma-Tru special order door which was supposed to be delivered to the **** Rapids, ** Home Depot. When I went to the store to pick up the door the sill pan, which I pad extra for was missing. City code requires a sill pan so the door can not be installed without one. This door is being installed as part of a ***** from the city where the work needs to be completed by the end of the year. This has been explained to the people I have been working with but with no help resolving the problem.This is the 2nd special order that the **** Rapids Home Depot has messed up. The first time was a special order shed which was installed with the window in the wrong location. This is the last special I will ever make with Home Depot.The Home Depot

1 starThis is not for the ****** Location but for the 800# I purchased a giant skeleton and spent over $400. His base snapped after being set up correctly. They asked me to send lictures( which I did immediately) then they advised me they would reach out with a resolution. MONTHS had gone by and the last email I have is from 11/30/22 advising me they are not able to help me with replacement parts but can offer$100 credit. At this point NOTHING has been done. I have called the person ****** who has been the one communicating with no further responses. No credit no nothing. Im not sure what $100 on a damaged $400+ item would do but I have never had issues with Home Depot until now. We just recently bought the giant nutcracker and have had 0 issues. Super disappointed in Home Depots customer ********************** over the phone.The Home Depot

1 starI ordered a ** washer and dryer on September 9 and it is December 24th and I still don't have a working washer and dryer. I have spent hours on the phone. The first washer they brought was dented so I refused delivery. I was to have another in a week. Well it never came. Every time I called they gave me a date and even said it was on the truck, but it never arrived. After two months the operator cancelled the order and placed another. That one arrived on November 30th. It had a horrible chemical smell inside. When they put the dryer on top of the washer, the cord wouldn't reach the outlet. The cord either has to be replaced or outlet moved. The machines have never been pushed all the way into the laundry closet and the last repairman informed me the closet is not deep enough. The installer assured me they would fit or I would not have accepted delivery. Home depot and ** pass responsibility back and forth with great dexterity. This review is about home depot but ** is no better to deal with. So long story short I still don't have laundry facilities.The Home Depot

1 starWe had new carpet installed in July month. A few months after the installation, threads were coming out of the carpet. So, I filed a claim with the store. The claim was denied. I gave them a sample of the carpet. They ran a stress test on the carpet and found nothing wrong with the carpet. The carpet is supposed to have a lifetime warranty and pet proof warranty.Review fromBenjamin S

1 starI had the worst experience at the Home Depot in ******* MI. Long story short, we went in store to order a storm door for replacement. After picking out our door, we went to schedule installation. The computers were having issues so we were told the order was placed and we would get a call from installers. After a week, we went back in store to see what the status was. We were told that the order we had was blank and thus cancelled. I was frustrated but I understand things happen. So we went through the process again. I was assured by the manager that we would receive better service this time. We did get the installers to the house to measure the door. Per the printed document we got from Home Depot, we expected a call to schedule the appointment within a week. It is now 3 weeks after and we hadn't heard anything. I just called to check status and wouldn't you know it, our order is blank again. No info on the door we supposedly ordered. The manager I spoke with was completely unhelpful. She transferred me back to *** in millworks (who was kind, apologetic, and trying to be helpful) only to be told that we would have to start over again. I am done with Home Depot. I can't believe that lack of responsibility the management team took for this. It is a little project but between my dad and my brother-in-law and myself, we have spent MILLIONS of dollars on materials. So I decided to buy the door at ****** and will have it installed by a local contractor. It will be done next week. And now I am going to spend this snowy afternoon letting everyone know how disappointed I am in the response from Home Depot.Review fromDenise B

1 starDo NOT make the mistake of thinking this place is a REAL business. Nope. I ordered a simple thing - a gift card. For a friend who lives in *** ... does not reside in ********** or *********, so easy to send right? HaaaaHa. Bought it`12/`11/22, it was cashed 12/12 and nothing happened after that. Crickets. No email from them, no gift to my friend. They are totally irresponsible and dumb. They actually use the ***** OMG, not **** I complained and will wait to get a refund, but the main thing is the days I wasted WAITING and TRUSTING this gift card would reach my easy to reach friend here in ***. 1 starI bought a refrigerator for Black Friday and had a delivery date for the following Tuesday. I got an email stating the item was out of stock and I had to wait 2 weeks (12/10) for the delivery. When it came it was damaged and had to be returned and rescheduled. I got a second delivery date of 12/16. Again, the refrigerator arrived damaged and had to be returned and rescheduled. I got another delivery date of 12/22. On the day of, I did not receive a text or email givng any information on delivery which prompted me to call and verify if I was on the delivery schedule. I called twice (10am and 4pm) and both times I was told I was on the schedule with a window of 2:30-6:30pm. I called around 5:45pm and was told the item was out of stock and they didnt have any information for a new delievery date. I waited in the house all day and no one called to inform me AFTER I called twice and was told I was on the schedule. I have been w/o a refridgerator for over a month. I have had to buy breakfast, lunch and dinner for my family every single day waiting for my item. I just bought a house and was excited about hosting Christmas this year. I had my Mom and sister come in from out of town and had to buy food for them everyday and will now have to make other arrangments for the holidays. I have always been a loyal HD customer but I will not so much as buy a battery from this company. I am so disappointed in how this was handled that I plan to pay off my HD credit card and close my account. For my item to have been delivered damaged TWICE then lied to about the delivery THEN told that my my item was out of stock w/o any notification is the worst form of customer **********************. I have been more than patient but today I was bought to tears. I never thought i would be going through this right before the holidays--at the worst possible time. 1 starI will say that I am extremely disappointed with Home Depot. I went to my local *********** ****** srore to purchase some Milwaukee pack out boxes that were advertised on line as a buy more get more promotion. Only to be told by the stores staff and customer ********************** that they dont honor the same promotion prices that are advertised on line. Guess I just don't understand what the difference is between a customer driving to their local store, or having to order on line and have it shipped makes. I spend thousands of dollars every year with this company and have for many years, they just lost my business, I will be going elsewhere from now on.The Home Depot
