1 starOver 2 years ago we purchased windows from Home Depot. Friends of ours raved about the windows and we decided to give the company the chance to win our business. After 4 companies came out we went with Home Depot. After a few small hiccups (we understand with all the shutdowns, COVID & other things) we finally had the windows installed in November of 2020. The installation company (not ********** did an Okay job. Many shortcuts, many issues and very little **** for our home. We called Home Depot and our sales person to have them co.e out and loom at the bad work. It took a few weeks but they came out, attempted to offer compensation for the damaged trim, broken frame and attempted to locate the screens that were never installed but were ordered and paid for. It took months, call after call. Almost a year later we finally got our screens, recieved the new frame and a $100 gift card for all the damage that was done which will NEVER cover the cost of our trim. After all this time I continued to say the windows installed at the front of our ho.e couldn't be the more expensive, triple coated, UV blocking windows. After months of calls they sent a rep from Home Depot out in march of 2022. He inspected them and said we were CORRECT, they were in fact the WRONG windows. He assured us he would order them and we would recieve them soon. After months of waiting I called to find out they were NEVER ordered. My issues were transfered to a ***************************** and he assured me we were moving in the right direction. On August 4th of ****************************************************** they would be here before the holidays. After 17 calls, 10 messages we STILL do not have the right windows and no call has been exchanged since October of 2022. NEVER, EVER USE HOME DEPOT!!! We are getting ready for our next ho.e improvement project ans rest assured it will not be done by Home Depot. I guess $23,000 in windows doesn't matter.The Home Depot

1 starMy recent experience has shaken my faith in Home Depot!We met with ***** at the ***************************** in ********** **, store number ****.We purchased Thomasville cabinets, S. and other specialists told us that countertops were a 3 to 4 week special order and install.We paid in full for the cabinets and other items on September 9th. Other items we purchased were flooring, floor leveler and various other project related materials.We had our contractor begin demolition of the entire basement on October 10th.All seemed to be going great, the cabinets arrived at the house.We ordered countertops on October 31st. Expo brought the cabinets before lunch on a Tuesday. As the delivery was in process, my family watched a box of wall cabinets fall from the truck. Delivery men stacked boxes two high on the dolly, which was on the liftgate of the truck. The top box fell to the street below. The delivery man guy stacked it back on the dolly brought it in my garage. He told me to contact Thomasville for damage issues. Needless to say, that cabinet was damaged severely.I contacted *********** and spoke to D.W in customer **********************, who implied that I was STUPID. Thomasville sent new cabinets. Several screws that secure the doors broke off while being adjusted. I have attached pictures that show this damage.The countertops, which we paid for on the 31st of October, were measured and supposedly ordered by or on November 9th. We later find that someone at Home Depot store #**** didnt send the order over to KBR until the first week of December.The customer ********************** fiasco doesn't end here I have talked to H3432****34303532****H store several times. C. told me on December 9th he would be calling the first of the week, so I thought that he would call the 12th or 13th. As of January 9th 2023 have not heard from him. My countertops were installed on December 22nd. Our contractor completed the project. With the numerous mistakes, delays and adjustments.The Home Depot

1 starI would give less but 1 star is minimum.Home Depot stores are fine. DO NOT USE closet installation service!! We started the process 10min the ago and still have partially done closet. No one will answer calls or emails. Use any other closet installer-The Home Depot

1 starWhatever you do, don't trust Home Depot to a)get an order in on time, b) have said order be in a non damaged state, c) expect the customer ********************** agents to know what they are doing, and d) for any of the management to care.My initial order of three cabinets took four months and eleven, yes ELEVEN, separate cabinets to be sent. While waiting I inquired to one of the managers in what way they could remedy the situation. He gave me a blank stare and said I could cancel my order. Once I finally did get all the cabinets I came to realization that I could use a few more. Wanting them to match I foolishly told myself that ordering a few more couldn't be as bad as before. Well in 2023 Home Depot has apparently decided that they could do worse. Of the three more cabinets I ordered, two showed up first but of course one was damaged. Instead of ordering me a replacement the employee returned the one that was damaged and closed my order. So now I am down a cabinet I wanted and the one that hadn't arrived yet was marked as "complete". Incompetence, ineptitude, and a lack of caring about the customer has convinced me that if I want to get more done I will have to do it elsewhere.The Home Depot

1 starI purchased Thomasville cupboards through HD Standherd Barrhaven location and spent $22,000.00 for an upgrade to my small galley kitchen. I wanted to go the next level. Unfortunately I did not use the installer and my contractor made an absolute mess of my new cupboards which took 6 months to receive. My initial reno began on Dec. 13, 2021 and to date I am still awaiting pieces from HD Barrhaven/Thomasville that were to be ordered at the end of May 2022. (today is Jan 11, 2023). When I placed a re-order to replace the $9,000 worth of damaged cupboards I had to wait several months between each new order placed. I tried asking HD to have Thomasville just add to the existing order but each time it was 2 months here, and 2 months there. I am now waiting on 2 full sized finishing panels so my kitchen can be completed. This is completely unacceptable and I am NEVER going to order anything from HD again. I recently found out the panels were not ordered so they re-ordered and now I have been told twice that the panels are supposed to be delivered. I am STILL WAITING...since JUNE. Never ever order any cabinetry from this company!!!!!!!!! I am furious. This reno has been a massive disappointment and HD has not eased my upset. In fact, they have made it worse with all the waiting for new cupboards. If they have such a close connection with Thomasville then why can't they seem to reach them ever? I am losing sleep and this has been a complete nightmare. Impossible to reach anyone higher up and I cannot believe this is how customers are treated after spending so much money on their products. Oh and have you ever tried reaching someone by phone? Don't bother. They do not answer or the person you need to speak to is never there. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone who cares actually contact me to offer compensation for my 1 year wait?! FRUSTRATED and very UPSET!!!!The Home Depot

1 starI should have read reviews before my appliance purchases. Nightmare beyond believe: it took almost 2 months to get my appliances.Attempt-1: paperwork was wrong the employee didnt add cords or carry away or he didnt save it! 1.5 hrs at the store getting it fixed. Refrigerator was damaged. Stove and dishwasher sat in my garage for over 1 month. Attempt 2- the delivery people refused to put in stove, dishwasher because they didnt have paper work. Even though I did. From the time they entered my house and left was 10 minutes. They took my new fridge with them. They lied to Home Depot and said I refused the refrigerator. Attempt 3- was today: I had to call the manager at Home Depot for them to put my stove and dishwasher in. Over 2 hrs later: only the refrigerator and stove was installed. The dishwasher sits in the kitchen not installed bc they wouldnt wait for me to take off a piece of molding. To top it off they dropped small parts from the dishwasher outside by my garage. Its sad that a company uses a 3rd party to ruin their reputation. Btw: dont reply with we want to talk to you about your experience! Ive lost respect and I have told a lot of people and its on social media. Get it together because you will continue to loose valuable customers.I paid for a service and I didnt get it: to install my dishwasher that is stealing I paid almost 200 for that service and now what I have to miss work again for this crappie service! DO NOT SHOP AT HOME DEPOT! If they cared about the customer we wouldnt see all of these horrible reviews!!!The Home Depot

1 starI recently had a terrible experience at Home Depot regarding installing doors at my house. It has been OVER A YEAR and my doors have still not been installed. I ordered doors in Dec 2021. They were scheduled to be installed in April 2022. I was told in April they did not have an installer on their staff. I tried contacting them numerous times by phone. Most times my calls were unanswered. In-person, they could not find a record of my order. They gave me short, unhelpful answers. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated by this experience, and will be hesitant to shop at Home Depot in the future due to the poor service and the fact that my doors are still sitting in my ********* would not recommend this store to anyone based on the poor and delayed service. I am currently contacting headquarters. I would select ZERO STARS if possible.The Home Depot

1 starHome depot needs to do better. I purchased appliances on sale, needed to push back the delivery because we were not ready for it. Received both verbal and email confirmation of the rescheduled delivery date, then out of nowhere, our delivery was cancelled and "sent back to the manufacturer" and they said you have to order the appliances again if I wanted them. Now the current price of the exact same items are $2200 more than the price I purchased them at. But they offered me a $500 discount as a "courtesy". No one called me notifying me that my order was going to be cancelled prior to the cancellation. Many who I talked to from Home Depot were patient and understanding of the unfair situation except for Faith from Home Depot ****************. She was the worst!The Home Depot

1 starI rented a box truck from Home Depot back in 2021, the truck got a flat tire. I checked to see if there was a change kit on the truck and there wasnt. Confused about it, I called the number on the glove box for help. When I contacted the rep on the phone, he let me know due to liabilities I wasnt allowed to change the tire, that the truck had to be towed to a location where Home Depot takes their trucks. When the tow truck came, they picked up the truck, however they chained it up incorrectly and damaged the vehicle even further. I was called and notified about this. The rep told me hed close out the rental contract since the truck needs more work now. I followed every protocol. Now Im 2023 Im being sent to collections for something I had zero involvement for. And I cant get a hold of ANYONE. When I call the local H.D. They keep saying its out of our hands now, theres nothing we can do such BS,The Home Depot

1 starTerrible and misleading return policy. We bought a grill using the home depot credit card for 2 reasons and interest free promotion and the 365 day return policy. My wife and I stopped in the store on 1/8/22 to find out if there was anything we needed to do to exchange the defective grill. We were told by the service desk and the manager on duty that once an item has been opened or used its not returnable or exchangeable. Spoke with customer ********************** phone ********************** was told the receipt as the return date for the item(4/24/23 which is 365 days from original purchase). But the store has discretion to returns. After speaking with the local store twice on 1/9/23 with no change I once again called customer ********************** call ********************** trying to understand why the receipt says something different that what the policy states. What I have been explained is that if an item has been opened than its not returnable or exchangeable which means that Home Depot has a no return policy. I have been told multiple time by the store they won't get credit and it's not re-sellable. So my current understanding is if you buy something from Home Depot it is yours no matter what unless they get credit for it than they may use there discretion to accommodate the customer. Knowing what I know now I would have purchased with using my cash back credit card from the local Ace Hardware who offer free delivery and assembly. I am currently waiting for a call back from someone to find a resolution but have zero confidence that home depot wants too find a resolution as they just push the blame back to the manufacturer, I understand that it is a manufacturer warranty but why offer a 365 love it or return it policy as a benefit of the credit card than make it difficult to use the benefits. In a competitive retail world without great customer ********************** and unique benefits customers will choose to shop elsewhere.The Home Depot

1/13/23 update: Home Depot doesn't stand behind thier return policy of 365 day when using the Home Depot credit card. I was offered a $100 gift card for the bad experience. $100 doesn't change the experience when the problem still exists, was told by customer ********************** that we can talk in circles but this is what the local store is offering. So escalating the problem past the store doesn't matter because the store ultimately has the final decision.
