1 starFinancing fraud when *********** offers financial assistance to buy products but if you put the charge on the Pro Card there is no financing. Home Depot does not inform clients or store managers that special financing terms are not available on the Pro Card or the consumer card. When I tried to change the card there was no help available to get the 18 months financing transferred to a consumer card. Corp Headquarters would not even return my calls.The Home Depot

1 starI just purchased a fridge with delivery and installation. When they arrived I asked them to please be careful about the walls and floor. When they left they had heavily scratched my kitchen floor, scratches 1/2 inch wide and several inches long, all over the floor .. And then they asked me to complete the survey with 5 stars on my phone right in front of them so they can take a picture of the completion, instead of addressing the deeply scratched floor. - I tried to get in touch with support via their Live Chat and Text Message but it disconnects me every single time when it tries to connect me to an associate.The Home Depot

1 starHome Depot Protection Plan on ** dishwasher purchased on 12/19/2021. Filing a claim when our dishwasher stopped working on 03/25/2025 was a very difficult process. The initial claim took almost two hours to file after finally reaching a live agent after being bounced around from their claims website to dialing their "800" number with auto attendant that simply refers one back to the website or instructions to start an SMS chat. During chat I learned how to be connected to a live person by phone. After two visits by a repair tech dishwasher still did not work. I finally received an email on 04/16/2025 stating they will refund my original purchase price of $969, I simply needed to reply to the email my acceptance. I responded 3 times and each time received the same delivery failure notice. So I went back to the website and initiated another chat. During the chat I was told they had received my email acceptance and I should receive my refund in 1 or 2 business days. We have been without the use of our 3+ year old GE Profile dishwasher for 3 weeks. And now must wait for delivery and install of a replacement that we can't even order until we receive the refund gift card. I think they make the claims process so difficult hoping buyers of the plan just give up.The Home Depot

1 starWe hired Home Depot Canada for a basement window installation. The process started with a representative who assured us the new windows would be a replacement in kind, with minimal visual or dimensional difference. Based on those assurances and Home Depots reputation, we chose to move forward.Unfortunately, the windows that were ultimately installed were significantly smaller than what was discussed, leaving large, irregular gapssome over 1 inches. Industry standards generally call for " to " installation tolerances, so this was concerning. We voiced our concerns during installation, but by that point all three windows had already been removed, and we had no choice but to proceed.We documented everything and attempted to resolve the issue amicably through customer ********************** over several months, submitting detailed measurements, photographs, and relevant building standards. Despite repeated follow-ups and a formal notice, we received only vague responses and delays.We eventually filed a claim with Small Claims Court, after Home Depot failed to propose a resolution within the timeline we provided.We understand that mistakes can happen, but whats been most frustrating is the lack of accountability and action to resolve the issue. We expected better from a company with Home Depots name and reach.We are sharing our experience to help other customers make informed decisions and encourage the company to take its post-sale customer ********************** more seriously.The Home Depot

1 starI recently ordered Outdoor Carpeting and adhesive that was supposed to be delivered on April 11 they delivered the adhesive but not the carpeting I called talked to a supervisor to get a refund got the runaround and never got my refund so I called today April 16 talked to a supervisor still havent got my refund now iam disabled veteran and its money I cant afford to lose because I had to buy the carpeting elsewhere and Home Depot isnt giving me a refundThe Home Depot

1 starOrdered all new appliances with installation. Appliances was delivered. The guy removed the insulation blanket from dishwasher and threw it away, said they forgot to add clamp to hose so could not hook up dishwasher. Refused to level oven and bring up to counter height. Removed cabinet door above microwave and didnt put back on , installed microwave crooked . When I questioned him , he walked outside and said he would be right back and they got in truck and left. Called the store and spoke with manager. Said they would send a team out on Monday to make things right. Guys came and had no clue as to what to do. Said they was service guys and not installers. Called store and was told that they dont install microwaves or dishwashers. I told them I paid for installation. Then received a call and was told that I would have to get my own insulation blanket for dishwasher and that the bracket for microwave wasnt strong enough and I would have to contact vendor for a stronger one.. This is unexceptable. So I told them they can come and pick everything up and I will never shop Home Depot again.The Home Depot

1 starI am a business owner that uses Home Depot as a supplier for my goods and has for over 25 years.I along with about ***************************************************************** how Home Depot conducts their business in the last year. They are NO LONGER a Customer ********************** Company, they are a company that simply buys products from other suppliers and passes them through their store. Most time when you go into a Home Depot they will not have what you are needing and if they do have the product it will only be 1 or 2 of those products where years ago, they would keep a large number in stock.Just one example of a product I recently purchased, I ordered and PAID IN FULL for a bathtub that their website stated they had 50 in stock (what this really means is another supplier has 50 in stock and they are going to purchase that bathtub and have it delivered to their store). I ordered it on March 13th, 2025, it stated it would be delivered on March 17th, it didn't arrive, they then said it would arrive on March 22nd, it didn't arrive, they then said it would arrive on March 29th, it didn't arrive, they then said it would arrive on April 1st, it didn't arrive, they then said it would arrive on April 8th, it didn't arrive, they then said it would arrive on April 17th - it FINALLY ARRIVED !!!!!!! 36 Days after I ordered it.I went to order 6 grab bars for bath rooms which Home Depot always kept in their stores up until now, now it state I can order them and they will arrive in the store in 5-10 days.Needless to say I said forget that game again, I ordered them on ****** and had them on my front porch the next morning.I went to BBB to see what their rating was and was not surprised to see they have a 1 Star Rating - I believe I will now find another source for all my construction needs for my construction company !!!!!!!!!!!!The Home Depot

1 starPurchased a dishwasher from Home Depot. Motor burnt out in 10 months, under warrantee. Because it was a"pick-up" item Home Depot told me they don't put the model number on those receipts. Whirlpool service must have a receipt with the model number. Home Depot said information is on the *** # on their web site.I Need the model number on a receipt or no warrantee service. 1 starHow funny they have a A+ rating ..... with terrible reviews! I purchased a Dishwasher from Home Depot with the protection plan.. one repair, within 2 months broken again. Submitted another claim on the same repair issue, 2 cancelled appointments by the "repair company" within 2 weeks of waiting, only to be told they contracted repair company only has ONE REPAIN TECH IN THE STATE OF ********! Then I finally hear from Home Depot that the repair cannot be completed and they will send a refund of the original price plus tax. Well here I am, 4 calls later, countless hours on hold calling to still be told the check has not been sent. You cannot speak to any "supervisor". By far the worst customer support. he protection plan seems to be quite a scam. I am being told, for a third time, it will take 5-7 business days to process a check. I am now over a month in of calling and being told the same thing. I think it's time to update the A+ as this is far from an A+ company.The Home Depot

1 starI wanted to express my utter disappointment with this process and the service. Let me just say for starters I will never use Home Depot for any type of installation service again. It is my expectation that when a date was set for the measurements to be made it would be kept. I took off work to be available for the window of 9-12 today. I received a call from the installer this morning at 7:30 to say he would be late around 12:30 and I told him that would be fine. Then he received a call from his office at 10:30 to say that he was in my area and could not reach me so he moved on. This was a lie, he was not in my area nor did he try to call me back, he was in ********* and would not be able to make it to me cause the job he was on was taking longer than expected, as told to me by his office after I told her I had talked with him this morning. This is a complete disregard for my time and highly unprofessional. At this point I no longer wish to work with Home Depot on this project and require a full refund. I hope that you all will find more reliable contractors to work with because lying to customers and disrespecting their time is completely unprofessional.The Home Depot
