1 starWanted to the echo2100 trimmer being advertised by the store for $220 with an extra 2.5ma battery. Called to verify inventory, it's over an hour drive, as I have learned to do. A helpful associate gathered the trimmer, a battery, and some string and we preceded to the register where everything went south. They don't carry the 2.5ma battery that they advertised for free they only carry the 5ma battery. The manager was called and he said they couldn't honor there ad and offered $50 off the $200 5ma battery. So instead of a $150 free 2.5ma battery he wanted me to spend $150 more. I asked him to reduce the price by the $150 of the 2.5 and he said no and they could not honor there ad.The Home Depot

1 starBought an ECHO pole saw for $449. On the way to pick up I noticed it was $419 every where else. When I arrived at the store I asked about their price match policy and was told right away that they don't price match. Why have the policy on the website and not honor it. I will never buy from Home Depot again for this reason. The link online for Home Depot even said $419 but when you open it the price change to $419. Before you buy from Home Depot, look at other retailers because it will be cheaper. Here's the price match policy on the Home Depot site. How the Low Price Guarantee works for in-store pre-purchases: If you find a current lower price on an identical, in-stock item from any other retailer, we will match the price. Just bring the ad, printout or photo with you to the register for validation. (This may involve the associate contacting the competitor).The Home Depot

1 starI placed an order for mulch (pallet) through Home Depot and when it was delivered it was the wrong color. I worked with Home Depot to issue the return which required a pickup using NSD as the carrier. After not hearing from NSD at all , i contacted home depot who followed up and NSD claimed they tried to get ahold of someone but couldn't (didn't leave any messages) and cancelled the return. I reopened with Home Depot a second time and gave them 2 numbers to call just in case. Several days went by and the same issue happened again. I called back in a few more times and the last time i left just my cell phone number for the return. They called a few days later with a pickup scheduled for Wed between ****. They did a no call/no show and never got a hold of me again. During this time, i tried NSD both via chat and phone and would contstantly get disconnected or pushed off for a return call that never came. They finally showed up today after claiming they called the number that was the original not the latest without any notice. This company does not communicate at all and Home Depot should be ashamed that they don't have other options. I had to deal with the carrier directly for over a month before i got a refund.The Home Depot

1 starIve been waiting months for my new fridge that I paid in full $1,500 for. I cant get every Thursday off and they only deliver to my area on Thursday. The first Thursday I took off, their truck broke down then I got a new delivery scheduled not the next Thursday but the next cause I cant take every one off. The next time they arrived at 3:30 the very end of their time frame with a damaged fridge. So then I had to wait again to schedule a Thursday that works for me to take off. They arrive and the delivery man immediately walks in and does not greet me. He pulls out the fridge that was damaged (Im using as a loaner)and says he cannot connect. By the way the last delivery men with the damaged fridge had turned my water valve off in my basement and connected the fridge without saying anything, which I thought was the process since I paid for installation. This young man looked at me and said thats not my job. You should have a ******* here. How could I have a ******* sit at my house waiting all day for delivery? So I said fine Ill shut the water off! I went to the basement frenetically calling my husband.yelling at my husband (no where near this delivery man) and shut off water. I get upstairs and the damaged fridge is left pulled out and my front door open. The men are pulling out of my driveway without a word. Im in tears calling the home depot help line, where they tell me the driver said I was irate and so he left. I may have been hysterical to my husband on the phone and possibly a bit rude since the situation with the fridge has been a nightmare. But to label me irate or threatening is just outrageous. So here I sit without my $1,500 item and all I got was that this is somehow my fault and someone will reach out to you!The Home Depot

2 starsLast year at this time, I purchased a new freezer, a new washer, and a new dryer from the ********* Home Depot. I paid in full, for the items, for warranty, for delivery, and installation. The delivery was royally screwed up, and I lost $400 in meat as a result. (HD did make good on that). However, the delivery people charged me $75 to switch the freezer door from left opening to right opening -- and the response of the delivery company was "shrug." They attempted to charge me to install the washer and dryer and remove the old ones, insisting it was not on the receipt. I produced my receipt, and showed them I had paid for it. Well, they did not do the correct installation. There was a tiny little leak where they used an old hose instead of a new one. SO tiny, you wouldn't know it was there unless you touched the hose. I discovered it when clearing out the closet next to the laundry room to have new flooring put in. Wet carpet. Wet and moldy sheetrock. NOW I know the source of the odor I could not find! NOW I know the probable source of the pneumonia which helped kill my husband in July, as he always sat near the laundry room. It just cost me $2000 to have mold remediation done and to have the sheet rock replaced. Nothing can replace my husband of 46 years.The Home Depot

1 starI am begging anyone thinking of using home depot for any remodeling to reconsider!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A few years ago my husband and I made the decision to use home depot for our kitchen remodel. I had recently found out I was pregnant so we opted to have the cabinets refaced, We also purchased Cambria quartz countertops from ********* and a suite of appliances. Less than two years after our kitchen was complete, the quartz cracked. Home depot sent the rep from ********* to my house. The lady told me my quartz cracked because my house settled. My house was built in ****. There is no way my house settling caused the crack. I attempted to reach out to home depot but they accused me of putting a hot pot on my surface. First, it's in a back corner, it would nearly impossible for me to place it there. Second, I was told by home depot when I purchased the countertops how extremely durable quartz is. Third, I am not an idiot and would never put anything hot directly on my counters. The warranty is only good for a year. It doesn't matter that the installers didn't do their job correctly. ********* said the quartz was warrantied but it was my fault that my house settled (a joke) so they would only repair. The refaced cabinets are horrible. The caulk flakes right off. There are pieces that fell off. I will never be able to sell my house unless I rip everything home depot and ********* did to make it acceptable for sale. My husband and I spent over 20k on this remodel and it would have been smarter to just light that money on fire. At least we would have a good story instead of a horribly installed kichen. I have never felt so taken advantage of by a company. I refuse to enter the store, even though they have cute turtles. Please, protect yourself and your money and NEVER use home depot for anything. 1 starI purchased windows and had them installed through/with Home Depot in August of 2022. The Home Depot contractors that installed the windows had no idea of what they were doing. The contractors cut my vinyl siding at all 12 windows. Also the windows do not fit flush against the exterior walls.The contractors tried hiding their mistakes by putting up larger vinyl trim. In doing so my awnings don't fit, shutters don't fit and you can see all the damaged vinyl. The vinyl siding is so damaged that my home cannot even be pressure washed because of missing barrier sheathing and exposed exterior walls. Also windows are not installed properly. Worst installation ever, and no one at Home Depot wants to make it right. My wife and I have been fighting with Home Depot insurance vendor, ********, to make our home whole again with no resolve. ******** representative very unprofessional and uncaring to our wants and needs as well as representatives at Home Depot. The window installation was suppose to be a 2 day, at the most 3 day job, we are on 9 months about 290 days and the windows and damages are still not rightThe Home Depot

1 starTerrible customer **********************, terrible resolutions department. It takes 6-7 phone calls to them to get anything resolved and I wish I was exaggerating. I had an appliance order (order #WP62326044) through HomeDepot.com (a stove and a dishwasher) and on delivery day I had to reject delivery of the dishwasher due to it being completely damaged. When I called Home Depot the same day to get a replacement sent to me, I was told they would be sending it no later than 1 week. That didnt happen either of course, because they dropped the ball and didnt show up delivery day, so they offered me a refund of the dishwasher which I accepted due to being done with all the hassle with their service. 7 days later after speaking to 6-7 Home Depot reps I have received no refund for my dishwasher, and its not even pending. No cancellation emails or documentation to confirm that, nothing. Every time I call, they tell me its cancelled and Ill be receiving the refund within 5-7 days, but I have not gotten it. It shouldnt be that hard to just refund a customer. On a completely separate issue, I additionally ordered blinds though HomeDepot.com which was a horrible experience as well (order# WP64674107) They guaranteed me when building the estimate they would be delivered no later than 2 weeks due to the limitations I had to get the blinds installed. The day before delivery, they dropped the ball again and I found out they had not even made or shipped the blinds yet. Again, no notification, no update or email, nothing. This caused me to have to pay a $50 cancellation fee to my installer because they did not notify me the blinds would not be coming in on the date they promised. Again, due to them being so late I was offered an order cancellation that I accepted. There has been no progress and they still have not shipped the item or cancelled the order. Just took my money. I wouldnt recommend using HomeDepot and I wont be ordering anything else through their website due to my experience.The Home Depot

1 starThe Home Depot can waste your time and life like no other company alive. They are horribly inefficient. I have been trying to get a refund for returned product, acknowledged by their manager, for months. This, after a significant purchase of their horrific cedar fence and lumber products - dealing with green warped posts, splitting lumber and delivered rotting lumber products (never take a delivery from them). They will fight you on refunds and give you the run-around.Very poor customer **********************. They hate you their customer.The Home Depot
