1 starI recently purchased 3 toilets and 3 lids from home depot online. The delivery dates stated that they would be delivered June 30th-July6th 2023. My wife and I were waiting on the tracking to show the exact date for delivery so we could plan for someone to be home and then they ended up delivering on June 29th 2023 as she was heading out the door for work and I was away for work. She asked them to put it inside but they said no unless she pays them (She is almost 7 months pregnant at the time of writing this.) She refuses and they end up leaving the order in front of my house all day for anyone to come steal while my wife is at work and I am gone. All they had to do was at least inform us they would be delivering early and we could have had someone there to take the order. I contacted customer ********************** and they pretty much said what do you want me to do about it? Get your neighbors to take it in...as if they don't work and actually have keys to my house?!?!? Garbage customer ********************** and poor communication, way to go home depot! Guess I know where not to shop next time!Review fromute B

1 starThe worst customer experience I have ever had and still an unsolved return pick-up. Obviously Home Depot has some underlying operation system and customer ********************** process problems ;-(( I had a return scheduled for Pick up on June 23rd, and despite many lengthy text and phone calls with customer ********************** the items are still not picked up at my house and meanwhile I even got part of the order send to me again (for no reason other than that Home depot systems didn't show them that the items had been delivered long time ago...) And there is no one willing at the customer ********************** line to take finally charge and/or escalate the situation so that the items (now 7 instead originally only 3!) get picked-up finally. Instead they keep on telling me that a store is responsible for the Pick up BUT the store is far away from my location, so it goes back and forth again and again....The problem is on the Home depot side and I as the "valued"customer should not have to deal with something like that at all!!Review fromStuart G

1 starI ordered 4 Fluorescent U shaped bulbs online and received the shipment at home. The top bulb was cracked in half and there was glass in the box. I contacted Home depot and was told I need to bring the package to a store for a refund. After unpacking the three good bulbs, I threw out the box since there was broken glass in the bottom and leaking out of the box. It was dangerous and I had to clean up the broken glass. I should have received a refund or store credit without returning to the store. I even took a picture of the shipment.Review fromjanira m

1 starI purchased a Hampton Bay umbrella at the Home Depot website. Item was delivered to store and I picked it up. When he got home and opened item all hardware and manual was missing. I went to store the next day and after an hour of waiting I was told the tools were not available. I then contacted Hampton Bay - spoke to numerous representatives who informed me that hardware would take 14 days to arrive at my home. I asked to speak to a manager and representative (*****) refused to honor my request and instead ended call. I have to say this has been the worst customer ********************** I have experienced. Home Depot does not care about their customers and they also need to educate and inservice all the customer ********************** reps as they lack patience and the ability to assist and make a customer feel understood and taken care of. Please also be aware I am not looking for any compensation I would just like this issue to be rectified. I was treated so disgustingly by the representatives. I will never shop at Home Depot again. I now have a $600 umbrella with no hardware.Review fromEthan S

1 starHome Depot is absolutely atrocious. I bought flooring from them April 8th. Was told April 26th that they wont start the flooring until all materials are in. I get an email saying they will install on the 8th of may. They only installed the floor but not the quarter round. Its now June 29th and its still not installed. Called a manager back at the end of may, they said they would pay for all the furniture to be moved to try and fix the problem. Well now I call back today and they said nope we aint paying for anything. When before they said they would. The installation contract said by July 9th and the material wont be in until the 12th. And now Home Depot wont do anything to try and make a customer some what satisfied they would rather just say s**** the customer. Especially to one that is a veteran. Shameful.Review fromKathy W

1 starThe policy around returns is deceptive. I purchased a $149 fan on June 27 and returned on June 29th by my store credit. The store declined to return and exchange for a different $149 fan. Im in ***** over 100 degrees heat to be told they cant return my item. Being a loyal customer is over. Home ********************** will not get another dime from me. Lowes here I come, Ace, Tractor Supply or Harbor Freight. Its not acceptable type of business. Be very clear on your website about returns, exchanges etc. Your evasive marketing is ridiculousReview fromANTONIO J

1 starI went in store purchased washer and dryer 06/16/23 and it was set to be delivered to my home 06/23/23. I received email confirmation both would be delivered 06/23/23. Nobody showed up. I received call they were having trouble reaching the delivery company so would reschedule me for Tuesday. Monday I called to make sure still good for Tuesday as did not receive confirmation call or email that delivery was on route, was told actually rescheduled for Wednesday 06/28/23. Tuesday received confirmation washer and dryer delivery would be done via email and phone call with window 3PM to 7PM. Again nobody shows up so I called 6PM to make sure still the delivery was in play and was told yes. 8PM comes and still no delivery. I have moved and got rid of my old and dryer as of 06/22/23 so the installation could take place smoothly. I have had to keep telling my boss I may need to leave from work early so many times due to the multiple reschedules. It got to the point that I just waited to hear from delivery Home Depot folks that they were 30 minutes out from my home, but so far that has not happened. Literally today we had 9 orders/deliveries before mine when I probably should have been number 1 or higher up on the chain of deliveries due to the two other delays. Now I get to wait on hold for a resolution or more information on why nobody showed up today. So far I've been told somehow my delivery changed to delivery time of 6PM to 10PM. The customer ********************** person said that is odd and would check out what is going on. I've been on phone 30 minutes, on hold at least 20 minutes or more. On another note before someone says why didn't you pick it up at the store, the answer is tried that earlier this week but my washer and dryer were not even at the store. 6PM to 10PMThe Home Depot

1 starI completed an entire kitchen remodel renovation design through Home Depot. We had the measurements taken twice before we ordered the cabinets and paid for the entire kitchen - cabinets, appliances and countertops IN FULL. When we called to order countertops, the installers came to do a final measurement. We soon received an email from the ** rep stating we owed another $1100. We were never told that there was an iota of possibility that their employees could make incorrect measurements which cause us to have to pay more. The assistant store manager said that this is "part of the process." I asked if they could please show me exactly where the revision process states that we may owe more if THEIR employees/contractors measure wrong? I have searched and searched the website, but there is absolutely nothing that alludes to that just being "part of the process".There is a mention on the website about a "quote" during the design process, but even on my receipt/quote it states, "this becomes an agreement upon payment and an endorsement by a Home Depot register validation." Which, of course we have too. I'm failing to see how any of this situation is our fault. There is no place in our paperwork that states that if the employees incorrectly measure what we need, that we will need to pay more. I guess that would not give potential customers much faith in them, which I can see now they'd be correct. This is absolutely insane and I have read many reviews on their website stating similar things from people happening to them, which I think needs to be addressed because it seems as though this is a chronic issue and customers are left footing the bill for their mistakes. That is not a good way to do business & frankly, seems purposeful after reading these reviews. Customers have no choice but to pay as their kitchens are held hostage because of THEIR mistakes and they've ALREADY paid & can't afford to go and pay MORE somewhere else to get their home completed. The Home Depot

1 starHomedepot employees have no clue as to what their doing. There's several in store walking around lost so forget asking for help. Homedepot price match claim is a LIE. I've called at least 7 times in the last 6 months to ask for price match and told sorry we don't price match with that retailer or given some other lame excuse like we don't price match that item, item being a water jug sold by homedepot and every other retailer which by the way is cheaper at another retailer. So if they don't price match with tractor supply, amazon, ******** lowes who do they price match with is what I'd like to know and what do they price match Every single time I've been in store and made a purchase,at least 10 times or more since getting my homedepot credit card I've been over charged. Either by a cashier that's carrying on a conversation with friends who stopped by or they hit the wrong amount because of their 2 inch fingernails, get click happy because their looking around like their trying to see who all is in the store instead of doing their job. So anyone that purchases lumber or any other multiple items you better pay attention to your receipt because you'll be charged for more than you got. Oh and you can FORGET getting any kind of help finding something in the cluttered mess of a store. I bought 3 tomatoe plants and didn't realize the spots on them were a DISEASE so money wasted. I'm disabled and can't drive so no running back to the store for refund that cost more in gas. Signs up everywhere with price for plants you still get charged more and when you say something to the cashier it's oh I don't know and they go ahead and over charge you. Receipts are hard to read, understand so if you've purchased multiple items it'll take an hour to figure out what's what to see that yes you were over charged. I regret the day I applied for and recieved the homedepot credit card. I will never shop homedepot again. So anyone reading this do yourself a favor and go to lowes. CheaperThe Home Depot

1 starOn June 16th 2023 while on vacation in ************ ** me and my sister went to The Home Depot on ***** ******************************** to look at some refrigerators to purchase for ***************** to replace her old one. We found one and purchased it a ******* STAINLESS STEEL TWO DOOR refrigerator for ******* (which included a haul away service for the old appliance of $50.00 and a Plastic water/ice line for the new refrigerator). A delivery date was set for 6/21/23 and the delivery men advised my mom i was now back in ************ where I live, my mother had to replace a cut off valve under her kitchen cabinet for it was leaking water even when shut off to install the new refrigerator. I was on the phone with the delivery guy to confirm that this needed to be done, and mom paid plumber to repair it the next day. New delivery date 6/27/23. The delivery guys come, and my mom called me and i spoke with the delivery person named ****** who informed me that she needed to have an additional water line placed behand the refrigerator. I was angered that the previous delivery person did not inform my mother at the she needed this done. My mom is 85yrs old and her refrigerator was not working. This was a health issue for our family with her having no where to store her food safely. I did not want to reschedule delivery for a 3rd time. My mom had already paid for a plumber to come out and make repairs. Home Depot should have someone come out and do this extra installation of new water lines in the back of the refrigerator. I also paid for them to haul the old refrigerator away. They refused and placed the old refrigerator out on her curb claiming it had bugs. I tried to settle this with the home office of Home Depot spoke with a supervisor **************** he offered me a $200 credit (will take check) for all my inconvenience only in a Home Depot gift card. I declined. Done with them. They have no online capabilities to refund any monies dealing with debit cards. Want haul away fee refunded. The Home Depot
