      DO NOT USE THEM!!! DO NOT GET A WARRANTY AFTER YOU SIGN A CONTRACT! This company is a scam. They fail to tell you that after you sign their contract, in order to get your equipment serviced you need to add a warranty which adds another minimum five years to your contract. They will not let you out of your contract unless you die or move and even then you still have a certain amount of time to notify them. I have been trying to get out of this contract for over a month. Their equipment is subpar and technician service is minimal if existent. If they come to your neighborhood or call you, do not sign up for anything. Their customer service gives you the run around. You never speak to the owner nor anyone above the Accounts manager. I am willing to pay to get out of my contract but they will not accept a payout. They only accept a payout when you die or move. What kind of nonsense is this! Do not I repeat do not use them for anything!

      No stars. Fire alarm went off in the house, they didn't call to check if there was a fire, the fire department didn't show up. I called to ask why they didn't notify me, I was told to leave a message for tech support. I never received a call back, even after I left 2 more messages. They don't monitor the alarms, it's a scam. I took them off autopay, guess who called me back? At this point they can get bent.

      I was also scammed. After I signed something on the installers phone the guy who sold this to me left without leaving any indication what company I was dealing with, contract, phone numbers, or instructions. The installer said I didn't have enough memory on my phone for the needed software and left without installing my camera and doorbell. I didn't know who to call or how to get a copy of the contract. I'm still left hanging and I get bills that I did not agree to.

      They renewed my contract after I told them on several occasions that I did not want to renew it. They make it impossible to leave even when your contract is up. This company renewed me for another year. The customer service is terrible, they are charging me to use equipment from another alarm company that I previously had. Technical support is no good either. You get charged for everything. This company is a scam and fraud! How are they getting away with this? It's not right or fair!

      I have tried for over a year to cancel my contract with Safe Home Security. I have received numerous calls from their service representative asking what they could do to keep me. I explained that I was a 75 year old retired man living on a fixed income and could not afford their service any longer. much later I was informed that I had to notify them 60 days in advance by mail or Email. I called twice to get the Email address and was tole they couldn't give it to me. I asked for their supervisor and was told it would take a while because he was busy. I found the Email address on line , sent them the request to cancel and was told I missed the deadline by 7 days and will have to pay another year . My contract ends in 41 days. I don't know what to do.

      I have been with this company since 2008-09 and they are still protecting my home and its contents. BTW, I live in North Carolina. I'm very happy with this company and in fact, I'm getting ready to upgrade to a wireless system, only $10 more monthly, a deal, to day the least! This company is located in Connecticut and they are VERY thorough and professional. I don't understand why there are so many complaints about Customer Service, which I find to be exemplary.

      Not much I can add to these poor reviews. The company is very deceptive in all of their dealings. They will tell you one thing and do something else. In my case they told me to contact them in March when my contract was up to cancel. When I did they said I missed the 30 day window for writen notification and are telling me I am auto enrolled for another year. Then on the phone and in writing they tell me I don't have to pay. Then they continue to bill and call harassing me for payment. Stay away from this company, they are crooked.

      I used Safe Home for almost 18 months. There service was non existent with faulty equipment. So I went with Brinks because they said Brinks would buy them out. They didn't. So I now have a hole in my wall and no system. After Brinks came back and took there system out I tried to get safe home to reinstall for the rest of the contract. They refused. So now my credit score has been hit for more than a 100 points. I have a hole and no system. I am 74 years old and need a system. I refused to pay them for the equipment and they refuse to take it back. Please help. SHS has 584 complaints with only 150 solved. I need help.
