      Sadly, we are unable to recommend this company. Apart from poor service and poor communication, we sold our house, the middle of September, submitted the paperwork that was required to show transfer of ownership, and requested that our contract which we knew had several months yet left on it would also be canceled. We paid off the contract at the beginning of November and just requested written acknowledgment and a receipt. On a call this morning I was told it’s going to take at least another 30 days to send us a final letter and receipt for this payment. How can it take almost 3 months to close out a contract? It shouldn’t and despite Safe Home Security's attempts to have us transfer their service to our new home, we wont do that and will not be recommending them to anybody else.

      Run away from this company, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. This is not the first time that I have had issues with this company. My alarm went off, they called my spouse, my wife confirmed that she was home and there was no need to send the police, we both received text messages saying the matter was handled. Well, some 2 hours later, the police show up and since they responded they stated that we would get a bill and we would have to work it out with the alarm company. After getting the bill and sending both the bill and text message to Safe Home Security, they claim that my wife requested the police after she spoke with them and said no police was needed. So my request for reimbursement was denied based on a lie. Again, I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

      I really don't want to choose a star evaluation - they don't deserve even a SINGLE star!! I've just read the most recent reviews - and I'm sickened! My parents had the same thing happen to them where a rep stating they were from their existing company needing to check on their system, ended up replacing everything 'free', had my dad sign a 66mo contract, only his name on it. He recently died, and in going thru my parents' bank statements found that they were paying for both the original company, AND SHS - when I called and told them my dad had died, they said the contract then became the heirs' responsibility and if she wanted out she had to pay the remainder of the contract! There are laws in place that if such a situation occurs, the debt dies with the owner of the debt, but they're refusing to acknowledge that. Again, DISGUSTING!!!

      Please highlight commentor on 11/04/25 just had the same stunt pulled to get in the door caught the company name on their reps badge and ejected their rep. Safe home security is telling their rep to lie intentionally to get contracts sign

      I had a representative come to my door saying they were from ****** my alarm service and needed to check my system saying it was out dated and needed to be replaced. Then next thing I was signing a contract with a different alarm system. Now am paying for both alarm systems.

      We just moved out of our home with SHS services. Upon request to close the account, we were informed that they require 60 day written notice, and that my contract does not terminate for 5 years. In addition, they do not issue refunds for partial usage. I clearly remember my conversation with the company when I renewed the services, and we did NOT sign up for a 5 year service plan.
      They suggested I should continue to use them at our new home and purchase all of the new equipment we would need. When I was transferred to accounts retention, the customer representative was rude and argumentative and did not want to transfer me to another representative. Now we are stuck with a plan that we do not need and with a company that I would never recommend anyone do business with in the future.

      Avoid at all cost!
      Signed a 5 year contract and payed in full for 5 years. When I tried to cancel, after the 5 years, they said they had renewed my contract automatically, without my consent.
      After numerous phone calls, emails and a handwritten letter, they still wouldn’t cancel!
      Worst company ever!

      I had an account with safe home security for 6 years and recently moved, it's been over two months of me being in constant contact (calling, texting & emailing) and still my account hasn't been cancelled. I even sold the house it's installed in and it's still set up in that house with the new owners.
      I was told that they filed the cancellation one day then just now am told it was really filed weeks later so they cannot escalate the claim yet. (needs to be filed for 30 days)
      Additionally - I called multiple times today from the same number I've always used with no answer, then directly after calling on my cell I called from my work phone and he answered immediately.
      Feels like they are trying to do anything they can do to avoid people cancelling. Also - you never receive renewal information, and you have to cancel before your yearly renewal starts - if you cancel during your "contract" you owe 90% of the remainder - which I said I was ok with and am currently just waiting on the invoice for this reminder amount - it's been 70 days since I first reached out about cancelling and still - nothing.
      I would never recommend this company solely based on the cancellation policy and issues I've been having.

      We have been trying to cancel for a year now! Beware of this company. We were told after 1 year of service that our monthly fee would drop to $50. That was over 4 years ago. We have called numerous times and they give us the run around. We have been paying $99 monthly for years. I have sent emails, letters, calls. We are to the point now that we are going to turn them in as fraudulent to our bank.
