      I wish i would have read these reviews before signing anything and if i could give negative stars, i would.
      The equipment was paid for by my realtor through a local company that installed it. I signed a 3 year contract at the time of installation.
      about 3 months in, all of my cameras stopped working. I called SHS and they set up an appointment for a tech to come out. I took the day off and a tech never showed. So i called the installation company directly. They tried walking me through getting them reconnected, but that didnt help. So i called SHS back and was told that wasn't their problem since i wasn't home when the tech arrived...he showed up a day late.
      After about another month, my alarm system would randomly alert. Sometimes a door or window sensor would go off, or a glass break sensor. I never got a call from SHS, but would get an alert via the app.
      I called SHS about it and they did nothing. Said it was the system and not their monitoring that was faulty. I asked why i didnt get a call when the system alerted, they said they were not notified. Therefore that shows my system was not being monitored.
      I told them they would not get another penny from me until it was fixed. I didnt hear back from them until i stopped paying. Then they cut off my service completely, which i could care less about since it didnt work anyway.
      Now they want me to buy out the contract for $2100 or pay $700 in amnesty and continue my contract.
      I would stay FAR FAR FAR away from this company if you can.

      I called to see why I was having alarm service issues. I was told I have to up grade my system and it would cost over $1000. Telling someone this during the Holidays did not sit well. I was given the option to pay installments on a new system but that is impossible to do when I’m still paying on a system that has not worked in months. I was then told I could cancel without penalty but will need to send a letter and it will take 60 days to process. I just called to confirm the cancellation and was told the service will not stop until January 2024. I was never advised sending a letter will only stop a renewal. I am so disappointed with the information I have been getting with this new company that bought the existing company Alarm.com

      Buyer Beware. I do not recommend Safe Home Security, Inc. This company uses unscrupulous independent contractors as door to door salesmen. It's a bait-and-switch operation. SHS does not care about its customers once the contract is signed or what transpires to get that contract signed. In my case, the salesman mislead me from the start with false information convincing me that he and his technician were legitimately from my home security company. Unbeknownst to me, as there was no full contract available to read, I ended up signing an unwanted 5 1/2-year contract with SHS. I was under the impression I was signing for free upgrades. I am already locked into a contract with my existing security company. The technician unlawfully removed my existing equipment and left the premises with that equipment. I invoked my right to cancel within my allotted three days via text to the original independent contractor. I followed up with a phone call to SHS and was told I could cancel this contract. But, was subsequently denied. It is important to contact BBB and your state Attorney General make your report.

      I am trying to terminate the contract because of relocation. So far I and wife have called, emailed and have gotten no response in return.

      There would me no stars but you have to leave at least one. Company seemed good for years. When I didn’t want to renew my contract due to personal circumstances, it went down from there. I started receiving nonpayment letters. I called them and I didn’t realize I still had to send in a cancellation letter even though the account time was over. I sent the letter and sent by email, with a check for the full amount. I received a letter stating the account ended and I stopped that payment. To my surprise, payments requests continued but I thought due to the date and the amount was same as the check, they passed in the mail. The next month I received another payment letter. I called again and that person stated I still had to wait a certain length of time, (5 months more of payments) since they just had received the cancellation letter and I would have to continue paying. I stated I didn’t want to do that so the other option was I pay for the next 5 months up front and it would be over. He would contact billing and they would email me the final balance. I never received it, but still getting billing letters. I called them today and nobody would pick up so I left a message as they requested with my information to call back. Though I caught my account up since I didn’t know after the contract ended I still had to pay, I have requested to pay off the rest in full, they will not cooperate for me to do this. I will never use them again and I suggest anyone else never using them either.

      I have email more than 3 times follow up with phone calls to cancel immediate service for 2 residents that we no longer live there 1 st resident my dad passed away and 2nd resident I moved out of state . I have provided them with proof of new residency in Michigan state and they refuse to cancel . Instead they continue to reenrolled without my signature and rip me off with monthly statements. Both accounts need to be cancel we no longer live in the state of Texas . I don’t understand why are they trying to harm peoples credit just for no good reason . I really hope people can run a credit on these company and research their reviews before they sign any type of business with them .

      HORRIBLE company! They don’t stand on their word and don’t have any intentions of fixing a customer’s problem. Our service was installed in March 2022; the panel can’t be read by the company; and, they won’t fix it. As long as they receive their monthly payment, they won’t fix it! Go with a decent and BBB accredited company before signing on with the awful company!

      I would give a negative star if I could. I have been with this company for several years due to them extending my contract. My system has not worked for years despite having multiple technicians and a new system put in. Furthermore, when I moved from the residence they would not let me get out of the contract and told me I could take the system with me - the system that did not work. Customer service seems to be trained to answer in a politely indifferent way to you, so I am guessing they are used to complaints.
      DO NOT do business with this company!!

      Safe Home Security Inc. are the worst scammers. Representative visit Home under ****** ******** company name and sold me 36 MTHS contract with ***** **** ********** *** on 02/26/2020 expiration of 02/26/23. Payments monthly $69.99. On 01/14/2021 I received emailed DocuSign because 02/26/2020 contract was missing my signature due to their error. But yet they received all payments under another company name Safe Home Security Inc. I called today to make final payment for January and February 2023. But Representative tells me that I must 90% of pay out since I signed on 01/14/2021. I disagreed with the amount she emailed me. If I don't pay they will automatically renew my contract for another 36ths. Homeowners need not to do any kind business with them. Please run the opposite direction if they come knocking on your door.

      SHS is a negative -1 star company. I have been with them for almost for 10 years and every year the customer service gets worst and worst. Now that my system is obsolete because of the current G3 cellular upgrade, I called to cancel my service. The customer service rep told me to email a cancellation letter. Well I did two weeks prior to my billing date and auto renewal and have gotten no response but the billing continues. I reached the customer service rep via text and they are telling me it could take up to 30 to 60 days. WHAT A SCAM! Since when does it take that long to cancel anything. I should not have to pay 2 to 3 billing cycles for an alarm system that does not work due to their incompetence of being to cancel my contract in a reasonable time. What a way to treat a loyal customer! As a consumer, I believe it is unethical to deliberately trap unsuspecting customers into unwanted services that they are not even providing. I hope the increasing number of people saying the same complaint will bring about some much needed oversight. I plan on calling my bank to cancel payments to this misleading fraudulent company cause I can see where this is going.
