I was recently logged out of my Yahoo email account, which is connected to job applications and important personal information. While attempting to reset my password, I discovered that my recovery email had been deactivated due to inactivity. As a result, Ive been unable to regain access to my account. I have not been able to reach a live support agent, and Yahoo is requiring a fee for assistance with account recovery. Ive been a loyal customer for over 10 years, and I find it unacceptable that basic support is being withheld unless I pay. This has caused significant disruption to my job search and access to critical information.

Yahoo is basically extorting to pay $13 per month for a premium subscription to access my email account even though I have my password. They say they have changed their security questions for verifications but they never gave me notice of the change. I've had this email for over ten years and have been logged in from my phone. I submitted my drivers license which matches my email name and they still asks me to login from a device I've used before. I would pay the $13 if they gave me access to my email.

**************** tries to help but apparently has to go back to the script every few minutes. The supervisor told me she was the highest authority I could reach when I asked to speak to a manager and hung up on me when I asked for a phone number to reach someone in greater authority. Calling the number provided also gets you first to a provider who tells you phone tech assistance involves enrolling in a monthly fee. If it sounds like a scam, then its probably a ..

I have been tying to get in contact with someone regarding my account but they keep wanting me to pay just to speak to them and it mostly seems like scams. How can I get a hold of them?

Locked out of my Yahoo account with current password and cell phone recovery number. Yahoo is requesting payment over the phone which is crazy?

Yahoo offers free email. If a user is not able to access their account, or needs assistance with account recovery, there is a paid support option available. The terms of service states that it is the user's responsibility to keep the account recovery information accurate and up to date.

Worst ever. Terrible customer service response or lack there of. I called customer support and they wanted me to pay a monthly subscription. That was the only option. I am disappointed and am considering closing my account after I gain access to get important information from my emails. It seems that Yahoo has become useless. If it were possible, I would leave zero stars.

AOL's complete outdated and garbage platform. Now send your account into an infinite loop for password reset. In order to divert you to premium services that you have to pay 42 get your account unlocked. Avoid these guys with all your efforts.

We're sorry but it looks like we don't have enough information on this account to securely verify your identity as the account owner. Because we can't confirm it's your account, we won't be able to help you with this particular AOL ID.

Zero stars is the best possible review I would leave if possible.I have 2 emails with yahoo. They are the back up/security to each other. I have the correct password for 1 of those emails. However since I recently aquired a new device it would like me to fetch a code from my email I do not have access to. Of course, seeing as how I can not get into the second account wothout resetting my password, and I cant reset my password without access to the email I do have proper login for it is absoluty useless. Yahoo! hides behind a paywall to get you to call, but they offer no solutions based on reviews of others. If I could gain access to the account I actually have the password for, this would not be an issue. No wonder Yahoo! is failing so bad. No option to answer security questions, only an endless cycle of emailed codes that are impossible to access. This is an awful way to deal with people. I will absolutely not pay to gain access to what is rightfully my own account. Especially when from the looks of it, paying wont even help.
