I have been a customer of ********************** for over 20 years, and during that time, I have dealt with the ADs and multiple annoyances that this company has posed, because the one value that they provided was that I could access all my emails going back the full 20 years. As of this week, July 2025, they have changed their policy to limit email storage to 20 GB, which is half my current inbox. They are essentially holding my own information hostage, to force me to pay for a subscription. When I call to complain and to voice my concern, they tell me there is NO OFFICIAL METHOD TO COMPLAIN. No one should use yahoo anymore again, ever. This company should be shut down. I will be spending the next few weeks shifting all my emails to an alternate email provider that actually speaks to its customers. If I could use less than one star, I would.

I have the same problem as ********* I have 2 step verification but with an old phone number and through an AOL but when I try giving the code to phone support through my AOL the second time my AOL doesn't show up as a recovery email my yahoo mail does. But Its telling me I have to give them the code before I can even use the paid support so with out a code I can't even talk with anyone. With all the complaints I have seen this is ridiculous even seen a couple of class action lawsuits against yahoo. Any one have any ideas how to get back into their yahoo account let us know. The sad part I'm not even able to speak with anyone on a paid support call

Hi , I'm stuck in a login loop. The automated recovery tool only offers to send a code to a phone number I no longer have, and it's not giving me any other options like a recovery email.

Account password recovery system only allows for password reset via phone number. If the phone number hasn't been updated and cannot be reset you are required to pay for customer service support to regain access. Their biometrics verification is very invasive, however, it appears necessary since their data breach years ago. The problem is after giving permission to scan my license and taking a photo to send they still can't verify my information. This leads me to believe this is flawed system with further concerns regarding security of my personally protected information (PII) with a customer representative. Other email services have more practical verification systems and less infringement. Yahoo has essentially locked out customers from their accounts without first paying for reentry.

No contact has been made in any form within 96 hours. I instead have received a scam email from a "Yahoo Concierge Team" regarding the matter. This is a false Yahoo group which further proves the concerns of Yahoo security.

I have had several Yahoo Mail accounts for more than a decade. In the last few months, including today 7/13/25 several problems have happened. 1/ If Im signed out on a few accounts, it only lets me login on two accounts within 24 hours. 2/On 6/4/25 it took me several days (due to 1st problem) to reassign a new recovery/verify email (from one I had used for years, and now trying to eliminate the old email account completely) for all my Yahoo Emails. 3/Since 7/8/25 all of my Yahoo emails (in trying to login) required I change my Password and re-verify/recover a Code to login. Problem! It was using my old recovery/verify email (changed in June 2025) though I had deleted it; and Ive had to add my new verify/recovery email again that I added in June 2025. 4/After only being able to login to two accounts, the 3rd account attempt is stopped by telling me to login with another device (there isnt one), rather than sending me a new Code from a known Verify/recovery email account, (just used for the other two accounts.) Again, I had to wait another 24 hours to try again! 5/ The only way to contact a live Yahoo **************** now is to pay for a monthly subscription! Please help BBB! I dont have a budget to pay for their self-inflicted problems that didnt exist till they started charging for customer service. I just want to get into my important emails from over a decade of use. Also, I dont use a mobile phone, so it cannot be used for a second *************** looks like youve been able to help resolve others problems that are similar. I appreciate any help with this matter.

Demanding payment perform a password recovery is a total scam. I have been trying for months to regain access to my yahoo account, have been directed to their free account recovery support chat only for it to tell me the only way they can help is if I sign up and pay a monthly fee to recover my password.

I was recently logged out of my Yahoo email account, which is connected to job applications and important personal information. While attempting to reset my password, I discovered that my recovery email had been deactivated due to inactivity. As a result, Ive been unable to regain access to my account. I have not been able to reach a live support agent, and Yahoo is requiring a fee for assistance with account recovery. Ive been a loyal customer for over 10 years, and I find it unacceptable that basic support is being withheld unless I pay. This has caused significant disruption to my job search and access to critical information.
