Yahoo! Randomly logged me out September 18, 2025. After having my account since 2008, I now no longer can gain access because of secondary verification number that isnt and NEVER WAS my phone number. Seems a very sketchy. Ive verified my identity multiple times and scanned my ID. Complete BS! Talk to the customer service on the 19th and theyre forcing customers to pay a monthly subscription of $12.99. You already have all my data informationA complete SCAM. My bank and medical information are connected to this account. ********************** used to ask for security questions and asked for a backup email address. RIDICULOUS! When did they start this **** subscription? Did they send their customers any notification this subscription?

Same account and E-mail for over 10 years, purchased a new phone, which ultimately logged me out of email. No longer have access to phone number listed for two-step verification. Long story short, they refuse to allow me access unless I pay a fee. willing to pay however no luck. Sent my ID, answered all questions, the customer service *** was SHORT with me, unwilling to help or listen. Years of Emails and important linked accounts. Never ever will I use a yahoo search engine, email or anything associated with Yahoo. YAHOO IS AN **************

I read the reviews and see that I am having the same "issue" as many others. Yahoo has inexplicably locked me out of my account, even though I have two factor verification setup AND I am getting the code, it STILL is requiring me to log into a "backup email" (something I never asked to have to include), well I havent used that email in ages and guess what, cant log in to get the code.... So yeah, they are 100% doing this to try to scam people out of a few bucks with their "paid customer support number"..... ********************** you are absolutely pathetic. You will never get a single cent from me, off to a new email address with a company that is not trying to scam people.

Complaint: Extortion and incompetent technology Im writing per the sudden Yahoo policy change from 1TB storage to 20 GB. Ive spent nearly two weeks frantically trying to delete emails - over 100k so far in 6 different email accounts. According to them, I was using nearly twice the newly allotted 20 GB accumulated over 30 years of Yahoo usage - still a low amount of usage considering the timeframe. No matter how many emails I delete in their antiquated process (which doesnt actually catch entire groups of emails or even delete them from the trash - you need to repeatedly delete again and again. When you specify an email to group it, it selects hundreds of others not related. So you end up wasting more time manually selecting them. Still, the number doest change. There isnt a way to verify the new amount of storage. I still get the same banner saying I now have one day left! I wont be able to communicate or receive emails after today!A sudden $9.99 monthly charge for a grossly smaller amount of storage needs to be addressed as we already have to endure vast amounts of advertising - which isnt deletable. Does it also take up precious storage space? Not sure. The added $120.00 per year isnt fair to the American people who actually paid for the internet development. Yahoo makes money on the free account ads and has a paid Pro version to avoid the ads. There isnt an option to extend the time so I will have decades of emails lost in one day unless I pay their extortion. Millions of people are in this same predicament. As of tomorrow I won't be able to receive or send emails! This was sent to Senator ****** of California Senate and the ************** newsroom. Please do whatever can be done to halt this outrageous, greedy tactic against the American people just trying to communicate in our computerized world.

Even if you regularly use their email service, they seem to shut you out for no reason or warning. I can no longer access my fantasy football team because Yahoo claims they dont recognize the Yahoo email address I have been using for over a decade. Then they expect you to PAY to have them do basic account recovery. Incredible how far Yahoo has fallen. Like others, Id give them 0 stars if it were allowed.

I was unexpectedly locked out of my Yahoo email account while I was attempting to send an email on my phone. I did not log out at all. I could not use the password retrieval since my old cell phone was the retrieval number and I dont have access to that anymore, so I contacted Yahoo chat to request better help. They said the only way I could get access back to my own account was if I PAID them for the service. I told them this was absurd. I even asked how much this service would cost and they couldnt tell me. This is ridiculous and unacceptable that they would charge me, the owner of the email account, to regain access to my email when it wasnt even I who logged out in the first place. If I ever regain access to my account again I will be transferring everything to Gmail.

I have my Yahoo email account for 20 years now. Yesterday I got randomly logged out of it. I know my password but still I am not able to regain access to my account. I am desperate as this email is linked to everything and I am receiving very important information on it. 20 years ago Yahoo didnt require a back-up email address nor a phone number ( I didnt even have a phone back then). So I dont have any back-*** where the verification codes can be sent to, but I know my password! Yahoo please fix this ASAP as I am mentally struggling to regain access to my email account.I need it back immediately as I was waiting for very important medical reports!!!

I have been logged out of my account randomly and cant access my emails. The number on file is my old number so I am unable to receive a code and I also forgot my password. I am definitely not paying anything for my email because I have not paid anything all of these years

If I could leave less than one star, I would. This company intentionally locked me out of my email inbox that I've had for the past 20 years. No explanation. It simply won't let me enter in the same password I've used for years and won't let me change it. This scam has made it easy to select a better email client (GMAIL) for my needs going forward. I HATE YOU.
