My account was flagged for my name (and political views).I am a moderator and I quote the reason/guidelines for my votes. Most are on the other side and I was reported for having a fake name. My name is my legal name, not that that matters. My account was suspended indefinitely (screenshot attached) because someone didn't like me ( or that I don't vote "with them"), like we're in 5th ********'s disappointing when a company allows this to happen.Business Response

Nextdoor app suspended my account without my consent but I want the entire account deleted. I want all of my posts removed immediately. Nextdoor will not respond to my attempts to contact them via their only form of contact, a provided form. Nor will the form let me select the issue I want. Nextdoor refuses to address harmful posts,messages,and investigative and suspend users for creating false and harmful information that has put my life and safety in danger.I previously stayed at ******************************************************************** when one of the neighbors posted false information about me and had other neighbors in the complex engaging in stalking in which I notified authorities but was unaware at the time all this was coordinated through the Nextdoor app which I was later told.Because of this I had to move for my safety.The continued stalking and harassment continued which even led to some of the users following me around outside of the area and daily living even placing a gps device on my vehicle! Which then they were able to come to my mothers home on ****************,************************** this new location the users in this area on Springhedge court also somehow have been notified either the messaging app feature,group messaging, or somehow created a new account in this address location to post false and harmful information which now have users (3 confirmed 2 in this building and 1 building over) who are also now engaging in this illegal activity including stalking and harassment!! They are even following me to work!! I sent an email about this to the company and no one had responded and has failed to look into this issue! I am rejecting this response because:I am unsure as to why my email not showing up has to do with what I explained in terms of the harassment I have been receiving which initially started from my neighbor. You are allowing private group(s) to facilitate harassment and stalking and posting false information along with now my vehicle information on the app. With the addresses given in my initial complaint the company can obviously see whats going on in the area messages etc. Now they have posted my car information in there private group,with some users following me around neighborhood to neighborhood to notify other users with false information in that neighborhood with also my car description which I would like to give to the company so they can do a better more thorough investigation. Due to ineffective, or possibly biased local moderation in the *************** Nextdoor community, there is an infestation of bigoted comments and religious spam which sits unaddressed. A local user posted a legally defamatory statement with malicious intent using my name. I was reporting it, when my account was suddenly suspended. I have contracted support, but they have done nothing. I want that removed immediately, and have been documenting the lack of action for legal purposes. I have not received the courtesy of an acknowledgement or reply, and it has been several days. Completely unacceptable, and indicative of the lack of safety for users.Business Response

However, after being targeted by NextDoor as being disrespectful, where I was the one receiving hateful, racists comments via messaging from a person named ******* ****** and I was the one that got suspended, I deactivated my account. They must have a history of the interaction as I reported this person.

Yesterday, June the 10th, 2025, the Nextdoor contacted me with email stating my account had been suspended because they like a post I had made several days earlier. However, I have an email from them from earlier, congratulating me on making the same post and getting so many views of it. So I tried to contact them,but there is no person to actually speak with,so I left an email telling them I no longer wanted to be apart of the Nextdoor app and wanted my data deleted. They sent me back an email stating no I have to wait ***** hours for someone to contact me. Then the next email stated they would be holding on to the data for a year. Now I don't want anything to do with them, I want the data deleted as I requested, and if this post was such a problem why didn't they just contact me to change it, before this congratulations email was sent? I am rejecting this response because: this is the only time my account has been suspended. Nextdoor is at fault because they knew what the post said and still sent me congratulations on the amount of views I got for it, instead of questioning how I wrote it. Secondly, they are at fault because *** *., who I had blocked continued to harass me online through their website, and wasn't until I contacted them again about him harassing me, and another lady, who I also had blocked, shared my post on there, that they decided to suspend my account. If they have proof of suspending me before and why, they can bring it. Because if I had this account suspended before I would have done exactly what I am trying to do now, which is get the data deleted and the account closed.

I was using the app to sell my belongings. I was fully within guidelines. Next thing I know I receive a message saying my account will be suspended indefinitely. Its complete and total c*** I have done nothing wrong. When I asked about what exactly I had done that was breaking the rules I received no answer. Then asked for my account to be fully deactivated and now Im getting the run around like a robot is answering my emails and not reading it. I had a NextDoor social media account. I am homeless and was a very active poster on localized (to my location) channels. My main purposes was to clear misconceptions most have about the homeless and to ****** open dialogue between the general public and the localized homeless community. My posts were fair, respectful, and tactful. After several weeks, unexpectedly my NextDoor account was "suspended indefinitely" stating that I was using a fake name. Of course, this being entirely incorrect, I performed the ** validation tasks NextDoor required of me to unsuspend my account pursuant to their posted established process. Their instructions state that ** validation takes less than 24hrs from submission. After more than 24hrs passed, my account was still suspended. I redid their ** validation four more times fo ensure they got my submission. To date, it has been more than two weeks my account has been suspended and I have gotten zero response from NextDoor at all. My opinion is that they gave censored me and my posts about the homeless even though I have had an outpouring of positive public feedback and responses. This is important in my city as violence based on misconceptions of the general public have fueled many ugly violent encounters with members of the public who seek revenge for acts they have wrongly assumed to have been done by the homeless.Business Response

When I signed up at my new location NextDoor did not inform me of the first account nor did they prompt me to update my address. Besideswhich, NextDoor terminated my account(s) not because of the reason they stated, but instead for "using a fake name" as you can see in the attached screenshot.

30 May 2025 - I had my account banned today for non-specific allegations, supposedly dealing with the "chat" feature. When the accusations are made, the moderators claim that a lot of people see the appeal and review it. Nothing could be further from the truth. Many times my appeals are ruled upon within minutes. In one instance, someone changed my name and location so that I'm posting under a name other than my own. THAT hasn't been changed. I keep getting messages that they will look into it, but that hasn't happened.The latest ban came after a poster contacted me inviting me to go to a "RaceTrack" (a local gas station) where he wanted to "kick my ***." He makes several references to violence, drops a few F bombs and they want to ban me??? It does no good to report the people that DO violate the rules and they apply one standard to one set of people and a different one to others. They had just turned down one report wherein a lady used a fake name AND used excessive expletive deleteds in her words to me. I had ongoing business with vendors using ND. Every complaint against these people is over the same issue. One set of rules and interpretations for one set of people; another for the rest. They have yet to ban the three people that have threatened violence against me. They don't even acknowledge it.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I alerted ND to the hacker and name change and to their policy of accusing people of breaking the rules without a specific charge OR the opportunity to reply to such an allegation. This has left the door open for fraud and abuse by their staff. It allows for a selective enforcement of the rules which are the basis for most of the complaints lodged against ND. People should not be penalized for disagreeing with the manner in which the moderators censor some people while allowing others to bend the rules at their leisure. It's impossible to abide by rules when the only metric for measurement is to note what others have said and done that is acceptable. There is nothing more that can be done so the current action will have to suffice as will my complaint about what happened to me will have to stand as a matter of record.

I received notice via email that my sister wanted me to be her emergency contact for Nextdoor.com. She's in a vulnerable place, so I accepted this morning (27 May 2025). I used my Apple ID to easily accept, but I didn't download the app, and I skipped all of the other setup stuff. My only interest was in supporting my sister's request. When I spoke to her later, however, I discovered that she had not requested this (or wasn't aware that she'd clicked something to request it). I feel that my online security has been compromised and feel vulnerable to cyber issues. I think it's really just a "numbers grab" for participants on the part of Nextdoor (as opposed to phishing), but they really shouldn't do this.I tried to delete my account, but it requires a password, which I didn't create. I want to get my info removed from Nextdoor but am unable to get it done on my own.iPhone: I can access my Nextdoor info via my phone, using the Apple ID to get in, but their contact form is not available here. LAPTOP: When I access Nextdoor on my laptop, I see links for the contact form, but a password is required to get to it. And the "deactivate account" is not accessible, as it is blocked by the black bar at the bottom of the screen. I can scroll up and see the link, but when I lift my finger to click the link, it drops below the black bar again.I am so incredibly frustrated and feel that my data security is at risk.
