    There is an extremely libelous post on nextdoor.com. I have asked for it to be removed and the nextdoor mods just sit on it and ignore it and have not removed it in six weeks. The libelous post is located here: ************************************************************************ I have explained in the detailed letter, attached to this complaint, why the post is libelous, defamatory, and not true. I have also proved that "**** *******," the alleged author of the post does not even exist. ****************************************************** In conclusion, the libelous post needs to be removed. And the mod, ******* *******, needs to be removed as a nextdoor mod (The explanation for "why" is within the detailed PDF letter I have attached to this complaint.)

    I am rejecting this response because:  I am not sure what is meant by "This neighbor has been working with Nextdoor Support on this situation today."  Nextdoor has now indefinitely suspended my Myrtle Beach account for no legitimate reason claiming that I am not allowed to have two accounts when, in fact, I own two houses in two states.  The REAL ISSUE of ******* ******* being one of ************ nextdoor.com mods and then loading up the ************ nextdoor mods with his gang of friends HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED.  I have been blackballed, slandered, libeled, and defamed on Nextdoor.com by ******* ******* and his friends.  I understand that a platform is usually not held liable for libelous posts.  But when those libelous posts are stemming from its own mods, that might be a different story and a much more egregious issue.

    After the Better Business Bureau successfully contacted NextDoor.com headquarters, a libelous post about me that was posted on Nextdoor.com ************ for six weeks (even though i flagged it for removal and it stayed up for six weeks without any review for six weeks) was finally removed on July 16, 2025, thanks to the BBB intervening. AND THEN the vendetta: NextDoor.com, whose mods in ************ consist of a gang of inappropriate people, then denied me access to my NextDoor.com account, falsely claiming that I am not allowed to have two accounts, even though I own two homes in two different states. Yep, they then shut down my account -- indefinitely! How 'bout that for being "neighborly?" I have no problems with my Nextdoor.com account in ***********, *******, of which I have posted thousands of posts. But in ************, the mods are a tight knit gang who have ganged up on me for no legitimate reason. I am a handicapped woman just trying to make ends meet at age 75, minding my own business and violating no rules or laws. PLEASE READ THE FULL, FULL STORY IN THE TWO PDF ATTACHMENTS. IT IS SHOCKING. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING AND REINFORCES THE WELL-KNOWN STEREOTYPE THAT NEXTDOOR IS ALLEGEDLY FILLED WITH UN-NEIGHBORLY PEOPLE.

    Nextdoor.com canceled my account because of political speech. It is in violation of the 1st amendment of the constitution. They are a MAGA business that doesn't allow speech against ****** *****.

    I opened a business page for our dog breeding business on June 2, 2025. There was a category for this type of business, so I believed it to be allowed. I was then suspended from ******** and my business page removed, but ******** continues to charge me $150 per month for the page. I have attempted to access the removed page, but cannot locate it anywhere on my account. I have attempted to contact Nextdoor, but all contact links take me to their login, then to the feed. I disputed the original June 2nd charge, but I was just charged again July 1st

    I deleted the Nextdoor app a month or 2 ago because I was getting too many notifications and people were incredibly rude to each other on the site.Weeks later, I kept marking the emails as spam and then 2-3 weeks ago I asked to unsubscribe - I forgot that you cannot just mark as spam-that apparently doesnt do much.The emails have subside but are not gone, but as I am not using my ******************* email any more, the only ones I receive are these and I keep receiving notifications that I am out of space.I just want them to stop fully and altogether.

    I am writing to file a formal complaint against Nextdoor in relation to the moderation practices taking place in the ******************************** (****) community on the platform.Nextdoor promotes itself as a space for neighbors to engage in open, honest discussion. A place where a diversity of opinions can be shared to ****** community dialogue. Unfortunately, that is not whats happening within the **** community.The appointed moderators appear to be selectively enforcing community guidelines and removing posts not based on actual violations, but because the content does not align with their personal preferences or opinions. Even more concerning is the pattern of public shaming being used as a catch-all reason to justify the removal of posts, even when no shaming is present. This tactic is effectively being used to silence dissent or alternative viewpoints, creating a highly biased and curated narrative within the group.Nextdoors lack of oversight or appeal process for these moderation decisions enables this imbalance and damages the credibility of the platform. It suppresses the open, constructive discourse that Nextdoor claims to support. This is not an issue of someone breaking rules or being abusive, it is about moderators filtering the conversation to only what they want seen.I am not requesting that all content be allowed regardless of community guidelines. Rather, I am asking for consistent and fair enforcement, and for Nextdoor to take accountability when moderators misuse their role.I respectfully request that the BBB investigate how Nextdoor monitors the actions of its local moderators and what recourse users have when moderation becomes selective, retaliatory, or silencing in nature.Thank you for your time and consideration

    I am rejecting this response because:

    The proposed resolution because it does not address the core concern. There is no publicly available list of moderators in my community, which makes it impossible to report a specific individual when I do not know who they are. I have previously gone through the internal reporting process, but it led nowhere and lacked transparency or follow-up.


    This is precisely why I contacted the Better Business Bureau, to pursue accountability through an external channel, as the current system does not provide a fair or effective means of resolving these issues.

    Thank you for forwarding Nextdoors response. However, their reply does not meaningfully address the substance of my complaint, which centers on inconsistent and opaque moderation practices on the platform.

    Nextdoor references a suspended account allegedly tied to a violation of their real name policy. I believe this may be referring to an older account that was compromised and hacked. I no longer have access to that email or account, and it is unrelated to the concerns raised in my current complaint. My concerns stem from recent experiences on the platform and should be evaluated independently.

    Most notably, Nextdoors statement: Once they are back on the platform, if they want to have a discussion about moderation, we can do so then suggests that a discussion about moderation issues may be warranted. This, in itself, acknowledges that moderation practices are not above scrutiny and may indeed lack the transparency and consistency that users expect from a public-facing community platform.

    My complaint remains focused on the platforms failure to apply community guidelines consistently, the lack of a clear appeals process, and the disproportionate enforcement of moderation decisions. These are valid concerns that affect not just my experience, but the broader integrity of user interactions on Nextdoor.

    I respectfully ask that the BBB keep this case open until Nextdoor provides a more substantive response that directly addresses the moderation concerns raised.

    I am rejecting this response because: Nextdoor representatives didnt  comprehend my concerns. Im sure my explanation wasnt difficult to understand. English is not my native language, but Im sure that I did a good job of explaining my concern. 
    As you can see, Nextdoor is completely ignoring my concerns and still accusing me falsely. I only signed on the next-door with one email, that was *********************** Im not able to use this email because its no longer available for me, thats the explanation I have received from ***** company. I asked Nextdoor repeatedly to please change my email to ************************ I have NEVER signed into my Nextdoor account with the other emails. I know their rules and always comply with them. Their guidelines and rules are demanding their members not to bully others. Thats exactly what theyre doing in my case. Making me look like Im not able to follow their instructions. 

    I have explained in my complaint that three of these emails are not mine.

    Accusing members of lying is not how a respectful company should operate. 
    Youre accusing me of having a multiple accounts. Which is totally wrong. 
    Due to your false assumption of me having a multiple accounts, after I have explained many times that I used only one account, ********************** to sign in with Nextdoor account. This account is NO LONGER AVAILABLE, for me to use. Thats from an ***** company. I have repeatedly asked to please change my account to *********************************. My new email. 
    Its like talking to the wall. 
    I couldnt respond in time to a supervisor ****, if thats a real person, I was out of the **** 
    Im asking Nextdoor to reinstate my account using my current email.

    My account on Nextdoor was disabled 6 days ago. I contacted that day and the day after multiple times, and despite Nextdoor saying I would get a confirmation email and then hear back within the next 48 hours, I have been waiting 6 days with nothing from Nextdoor, not even a reason for the suspension. I have contacted them once more today and reached out via ********. All I am looking for is an explanation, review, and for my account to be reinstated.
