I have been a member of Next-door ******** for many years. I have never had a problem reading info from other Next-door Neighbors in my vicinity until tonight. As of tonight -- Fri, Dec 9, 2022 -- I cannot access Next-door Neighbors to read other people's info. Why not?Business Response

Nextdoor.com is aiding and abetting online harassment by failing to provide legitimate moderation of public content and allowing bullies to operate as ***** who control post and comment approvals. Several ***** post content that contributes to the hostile environment, and cannot be reported as they action their own reports. The instructions are not accurate, the process not timely, and nextdoor.com is aiding and abetting vitriolic behavior and harassment by not exercising greater monitoring of individuals looking create a hostile environment for less vocal/tech savvy members of the community. This is a non answer with no commitment to review policies or acknowledgement that the process for resolution is flawed, and thats why I am submitting a concern with the business itself. The reporting system does not prevent harassment, and requires considerable effort on the part of the person harassed. This lack of accountability by Nextdoor - providing an online forum with local moderation that can be abused- and this lack of concern shown via this complaint is reprehensible.

I am rejecting this response because:Nextdoors Facts are VERY incorrect
I have ONLY 1 NEXTDOOR account, and always have had only 1 account. NEXTDOOR is in error if they state otherwise.
I have NOT violated any of the stated Policies. I have made civil arguments within ongoing conversations, but never was inappropriate.NEXTDOOR is using the subjective judgement, of an individual, to ban me, as they didnt agree with my side of the conversation.
Argumentative, vulgar statements from the other side, were ignored, and allowed to post. but those didnt represent my (conservative) side of the argument, and the NEXTDOOR representative obviously agreed with that side.
It is Censorship, and a violation of my First Amendment right of free speech.
I am currently in the process of bringing a Federal Civil Rights Lawsuit against NEXTDOOR.
We are also submitting this very ban, to the new conservative Congress, as yet another example of ************ Censoring the free speech rights of American Citizens, and the ******************* review of current Section 230 Violations.
This supplements the current ******* revelations that are currently in the news, and reveals why ************ needs to be regulated from CENSORSHIP of all means.!

This is an excuse they are using to justify banning of those who have conservative viewpoints contrary to theirs.Nextdoor uses Liberal, Left-Leaning proctors, to monitor posts , and restrict access or Ban, any commentary contrary to their beliefs.
They make unsubstantiated claims of False accounts, or Disrespectful commentary, to justify their actions of removing these contrary posts, All based on the opinion of the ******* that they have selected, up to the point that they Permanently BAN the contrary view completely, leaving ONLY their opinion!
This is a story repeated by many others, and now, we are finally doing something about it, with the help of Congress and our Lawyers.
NEXTDOOR is currently under investigation, nationwide, for documented bias censorship of conservative viewpoints, and a lawsuit IS in the process of being filed on behalf of those harmed by this unwarranted censorship, with numerous Plaintiffs participating.
BBBs own site has numerous complaints of this very thing, substantiating this common practice of theirs.

I am rejecting this response because:I am being truthful. In my complaint I copied and pasted what Nextdoor sent me for the reason for closing my account, it is NOT suspended and they stated in the BBB response they sent.
I posted a local teacher article that this teacher may have broken Federal Law by something she is doing in the classroom. I gave my free speech input saying that this was wrong of the teacher, students are probably confused, and the teacher is showing the students it is okay to hide things from their parents. NO mention of any trans statements from me at all. There is NO, "transphobic comments," I made as Next door says. I DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT GENDER
Nextdoor is biased and picks and chooses what topics people can talk about. Then they put words in your mouth and suspend, or close your account.
They have done this before with me, decided to twist my words and then say since I have done this several times, and gave me chances, that it why they closed my account.

I am rejecting this response because: once again Nextdoor has skirted around any facts. In my last rejection I stated I Never posted anything about gender in my own words that they closed my account for. Now they come back not addressing that FACT and bring in saying a history of my suspensions, which I may add that a handful were taken back when I questioned and which I may also add, should have no bearing on a current ban.They apologized and reinstated my account. Numerous suspensions have been an error on their part, so for Nextdoor to put a number out there is not telling the truth. This last suspension was Nextdoor stating I said something that was, "transphobiic" in their words. But I said nothing about gender. They cannot admit that and or give a copy of what I said that was. My post was a link to a local teacher who may have broken Federal Law and in the article it says what she may have done illegally. My word for word post said NOTHING about gender. I have the right to post this article about our teacher in our community who may be breaking a Federal Law.
Is Nextdoor deciding then what local neighborhood articles can be posted and what the content of that article is?? Because this article did fall under crime which one can post about. I can only surmise that Nextdoor is bias and has an agenda, due to what the teacher had done allegedly illegally and then taking that article down and close my account.

The next store people running that app has a guideline stating you cannot post any religious content. I made one post regarding my faith belief which was not that of a ********* nor ***** belief and it was flagged and taken down in less than 24 hours. I appealed the decision because there have been neighbors that post every day for the past two and three years all ********* ********* all ***** content and have not been flagged nor has their post nor their accounts been taken down like mine has. I have included screenshots of some of these members I have also informed next store of the bias and still have yet to hear their reply and response. The moderators in Northern ** area are discriminatory, and inly moderate or approved reported content based on their closed minded views. There is a neighbor or moderator that clearly doesn't like me. I have suffered 11 months in pain unable to work and posted a verufied gofundme to try and keep from getting evicted Monday. I didn't ask anyone for money only to share my link if inclined. *** being targeted bullied and discriminated against as a disabled single mother. I am rejecting this response because: I have tried on multiple occasions thru reaching out to support and my concerns get ignored no matter what the moderators and leads are not following protocols set fourth by nextdoor in guidance and reaching out again I have reached out to support several ***** to no avail and my 1st and 14th amendment rights afforded by being a citizen of ***************** under constitutional law are being violated because the leads and moderators have full control over who they deem worthy, I have been told I out belong in my community and to pack up and shop out I have been called derogatory namesake much more hate that has carried over into my other social platforms. It's also discrimination under *** to be ignored by support no matter the reason I reach out they are there to do exactly that... support and guide and all I have gotten is hate and dismissal. No guidance not even attention. Now it's gotten worse to the point that the people targeting my family are looking for my posts are pulling them within as little as an hour. This is in no way a solution. The lack of concern and care on your part is going to open you up to a liability because mods and leads want to be a clique and judge and jury. I am rejecting this response because:Complaint: 18535985I am rejecting this response because: many folks post fundraisers when they fall on hard times yes I reached out to support and the deactivated my account for 3 days over the very issue I was contacting about also in your guidelines is the fact that leads and moderators are supposed to provide guidance and assistance if they feel something is off. Not what is happening just hate being spread and frankly a violation of my first and 14th amendment rights. It can't be spam if none of my posts exist. Many gofundme pages are posted and not removed for spam so is it my family that is an issue in particular, two disabled single moms just trying to reach out to the community and hateful folks who don't offer commentary or guidance preventing that. I had a post my original with over 100 comments on it and it wa removed for spam. It was the only post of its kind at the time. I have since posted it in hopes the hate would stop especially as there are neighbors who help. So it's not about the gofundme because I see those everyday on your platform. My account was deactivated for reporting hate bullying and mods and leads not following their own guidelines. I just don't understand why my constitutional right to free speech and my 14th amendment rights to equal protection under law don't apply here. Or maybe we can go with the ADAact but doesn't seem to matter regardless. The problem was only exacerbated by my reaching out to support for assistance by the silencing of my voice by deactivation temporarily of my account for being poor disabled and needing help in the community because loudoun county doesnt offer assistance. Are the guidelines of the platform above the constitution. Do something about it for real. Support ws a joke. Clearly that only made the issue worse. Next Door refused to delete my account claiming as I had previously suspensions (for supposedly "not neighborly behavior") I could only "deactivate" it for one year. Per our agreement if I refuse to agree to updated terms I MUST delete my account(section e Updates). There is no exception regarding accounts previously suspended. They notified me via email they were updating terms as of Jan. 1 2023. I contacted them to advise I do not agree to accept the new terms and I am deleting my account. They advised me I could only continue to keep it "deactivated" until June 11, 2023. I had deactivated it June 11, 2022 due to dissatisfaction with their condo board type moderation that fosters bullying behavior, bias and discrimination IMO. I have filed a privacy complaint with the CA AG's office for improper retention of my information.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: I have previously been referred to their legal department and just get the run around. My experience with them is they simply ignore our agreement by choosing to interpret it however it suits them. I wish this complaint to warn others of my experience with this company.

I am rejecting this response because: The response says the business can do nothing because their legal has the final say. My agreement was with the company. Their legal department works for them. Responding their legal has the final say is refusing to deal with the complaint. I contend this is a privacy issue for me. I am refusing to agree to the new terms beginning January 2023 and therefore we will no longer have an agreement in effect at that time. Under privacy laws I contend they cannot continue to keep my information when there is no agreement to do so.

I opened a business account with Nextdoor in October, 2022. I canceled it within two weeks. Completely canceled, no more advertising. The account no longer exists but Nextdoor is billing me $90+ every month. I cannot contact them, they do no customer service by phone.Business Response

I need private social networking for neighborhoods to create private websites, ask questions, get to know one another, and exchange local advice and recommendations.The records that, they had of my address were wrong about violations.
