    This company is sending me a ridiculous amount of emails. I have been unsubscribing from them for months and months now. They continue to ignore me and spam my email inbox. *** reached out to them directly, that also went ignored. I just want them to leave me alone.

    Nextdoor.com continues to harass and censor those who don't share their political views. I have not been told what post they feel is in violation of their "rules." I will most likely be leaving this application due to its cancel culture mentality.

    We acknowledge the member's frustration but they aren't currently suspended. But the member shared a video about national politics which is a violation of Nextdoor's Guidelines. They can create a group for that kind of content if they wish.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    My account was suspended when the complaint was filed. The post was not political. I responded to a post by someone who ran a pet sitting business in their own home and expected the owner of the pet to replace all their belongings after the pet sitter left the pet owners pet inside a locked crate for a long period of time. This pet sitter attacked me online when I questioned her leaving the animal locked inside a crate instead of watching the animal as the pet owners had assumed would happen when they employed her as a pet sitter. My account was suspended because the pet sitter didn't like me questioning her.

    As for the political posts, I post political posts in one of two areas on Nextdoor.com but still have my posts flagged by liberals who disagree with me.

    My original post was posted in "Neighborhood Political Viewpoints" section on Nextdoor. Posting my viewpoint in that section does not violate rules. It is a political forum where both sides express their political views. Just because someone on ND (Nextdoor.com) disagrees with my political views doesn't give them or ND the right to silence me. It's obvious from recent posts that certain liberal individuals don't like and report, that ND is biased and is actively censoring conservatives.

    I accidentally signed up for Nextdoor emails. They sent so many of them, so I decided to click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email and it said I was unsubscribed. The next day I got another email, and subscribed again this time I realized that there were specific categories that you had to unsubscribe from. Ive received over 100 emails since unsubscribing.. And so far I have unsubscribed from over 100 different categories. I dont want to receive these emails anymore. Next-door needs to chill and will not stop contacting me and this is the only way I can think of to make it stop.

    On the morning of December 27, 2022 I made a post to the Next Door app.It is a video of public activity which occurred at 3:30AM.It is a video of 4 people walking near the *********************** on State Street in *************, **.The video is captioned- QUOTE: "Four people going for a casual stroll on foot along the front side of the San ***** ************ 3 of 4 with bicycles in tow. Apparently the back side of the grocery store shopping center near the corner where the restaurant is- is a hot spot for late night hanging out. Moments later, a man walking briskly with two especially 'heavy' bags was seen disappearing down the side alley to the same shopping center."My post was flagged (and ultimately removed) for alleged 'Public Shaming' and 'Discrimination.'I appealed this decision and it was ultimately denied, despite the fact that my post very clearly does not 'bully, assault or shame' nor is it 'racist, hateful language or discriminating.'I simply posted a video of unknown, unnamed, unidentifiable persons walking down a public street and noted the facts as to what I had observed.This does not meet any of the criteria in the user policy or terms of service for ************************* action is in and of itself an act of discrimination; unreasonable censorship and a violation of my first amendment rights to freedom of speech.

    This is a load of baloney. Since my original complaint, I have been REPEATEDLY harassed by leftist extremists who troll posts; work in concert with one another in an attempt to reframe narratives and cherry pick details they don't agree with, then flagging posts/comments and having their VERY CLEARLY LEFTIST Content Moderators remove content they don't agree with.  




    I have been engaged with Neighborhood Watch efforts in ******************** in an effort to assist citizens in our community in curtailing a rash in recent burglaries and property thefts. I posted more videos of people I witnessed stealing property and they were taken down. The lady who reported the post and claimed that it was her husband in the video is lying and has also had 3 arrests from 2020-2023 for meth, stolen property and disturbing the public. So she can go on the site and make up and old story she wants, and you will remove the content based on hearsay.  




    Your site coddles thieves and criminals and condemns honest people who care about the community and the citizens within it. You claim to want to 'build community culture,' but really you just want to forcefeed PC culture to your users and censor anyone who doesn't drink the koolaid.




    Nextdoor is basically a cheap knock-off of the pre-************* Thanks, but no thanks, thought police.




    I DEMAND that my NextDoor profile be deleted immediately, along with all of my personal information. I want nothing to do with your book burning, history rewriting, or cult-like content moderation.

    On November 23, 2022, we paid for an ad subscription for our local small business, THE ***** GUYS. By mid December, having never once seen the ad on the site, the decision was made to cancel the subscription. The website for nextdoor.com is a nightmare to navigate and every attempt was made to cancel the subscription, A call to the corporate number made it clear in the outgoing message they offer NO PHONE HELP. A registered letter requesting ad cancellation was delivered to their address on December 19, 2022. They attempted around December 23, 2022, to collect funds again. This is a trap and a racket. I want confirmation that this subscription is CANCELLED!

    On 11/23/22, I filed a BBB complaint against Nextdoor due to their failure to moderate harassment on their website. Since then, my account was permanently disabled in retaliation. This was due to those who I reported to ND Support filing retaliatory reports and using fake aliases to bypass moderation. I have proof of these strikes attached. They will have local leads delete comments and then mass-report their opponents to get them suspended. They have also continued to harass our town's elected officials while spreading false claims about them and will attack local businesses they don't like. Because of my opposition to them, my account was banned under the false pretenses of "Disrespectful Speech".This is not new. For months I and others in our town have been victims of slander, harassment, and libelous claims by a group called "Farragut Citizens for Responsible Growth and Development" or FCRGD. This group is led by ************************* and ***************************. They repeatedly use their blog and their posts/comments on ND to harass and slander those who don't support their political views, including our town's elected officials. They stalk our female Vice-Mayor and harass her online daily. They spread lies about their opponents such as claiming our Mayor had a felony arrest in a state he never was in. One member of this group even attempted to assault the Mayor with his car (police report was filed). They will also contact their opponents employers offline and try to get them disciplined at work for their political views. ** sees no problem with any of this. They are repeatedly allowed to carry on with these actions because local leads will not censor their posts. When someone presents facts debunking their lies, local leads will censor the facts. Local leads frequently delete comments that disagree with FCRGD. When you email ND support expressing concerns and providing proof of the abusive behaviors, ND ignores it and takes no action against those engaging in abuse.

    I am rejecting this response because:  Respectfully, I do not think you understand the situation the people in our town deal with daily.  There are dozens of people reporting FCRGD's abusive behavior daily per the methods you have prescribed, yet no action is ever taken against them.  Local leads such as "*******************************", "***** and ***********************", and "***********************" belong to FCRGD and will not only ignore their abuses, but actively censor and silence their opponents.  Every time my account has been suspended, ND staff has admitted it was an error (proof attached).  "*****" at ND even claimed to notate my account with a flag that it was continuously being retaliated against (also attached).

    Even worse, within a couple hours of me returning to ND yesterday, FCRGD members "*******************" and "*****************************" began issuing threats to take my account down again (attached).  This is notable because "JD" is an alias of banned user ****************************  ****** uses accounts with the names of his relatives to bypass his ban and continue his abuses.  ND claims they will blacklist addresses to prevent this, but it has not happened.  When this is reported to ND, no action is taken and strikes are issued against those who report him (attached).  I have filed a complaint against "JD's" threat yesterday per the methods you listed.  It is case no. ********, however no action has been taken yet.  What is even more concerning is I have blocked and muted these people, including "*******************", "***********************", and "*****************************", yet they still can see my comments and respond to them.  So either ND's mute and block features are not functioning, or they are using aliases to view my comments and report them in retaliation.

    Muting another member only means that you can't see their posts or comments; not the other way around. Block is used exclusively for private messages.

    We definitely understand how frustrating the situation can be. But the only way we can continue to build around the reports is for neighbors to keep reporting violations of the guidelines. We will continue taking action where appropriate.

    I am rejecting this response because:  According to your support staff, Muting a user prevents them from seeing your profile and posts/comments.  I am giving you more than enough evidence of abuse and harassment to take action on these accounts.  My neighbors report these accounts and comments on a near-daily basis.  ND fails to act every time.  Their accounts don't even get suspended like mine does.  It is a sad travesty that ND allows so much hate, abuse, and harassment to take place on their platform.

    I have no idea how this company got my information. But I have unsubscribed from their several daily emails probably 50 times at this point and the emails are relentless.     I have been suspended for breaking guidelines and I have no idea what they're talking about! I have not done anything like that. I have not made any unkind comment to anyone nor have I called anyone any names. There was a woman being very argumentative with me about her opinion on dogs being left outside and I asked her to stop. Now I don't know if she complained about me just because she wanted to but I never said anything unkind or uncivil towards this woman or ANYONE ELSE. I never swore, I never said anything aggressive towards her or anyone else. I am making sure and trying to be careful not to break their guidelines but now I'm being accused for something I have NOT done. Next door has no way of contacting them to try to send them an email or anything. This is the second time they've done this and unjustifiably so to me. A couple of months ago when I was joking with my brother and I even put a laugh emoji and they can't see that it was a joke? That's not fair. Now I'm supposed to be suspended again for 30 days? What is this? Why am I being treated this way.     My Nextdoor account was improperly suspended 10/20/22 for opposing the local political candidacy of a Nextdoor Neighborhood Lead. I am seeking assistance from the BBB as Nextdoor has not responded to my request for an investigation and reversal of that suspension. Nextdoor.com established their platform in American cities and profits from advertising while claiming to provide a fair public forum. Nextdoor chooses to appoint local individuals as "Neighborhood Leads" to "moderate" platform activity. Nextdoor states these Leads "have been granted additional capabilities to help their neighborhood run more smoothly." Those capabilities include the power to remove comments and participate in the suspension of commenters. Nextdoor does not take responsibility for the Leads' actions which has resulted in abuse of that power. In *******, **, a politically outspoken Lead has used his position to remove content and suspend neighbors who disagree. This has been reported to Nextdoor and there has been no action taken. That same lead chose to run for local office this year. Before the election it was revealed this Lead is also a published ****** fetish artist and a link to his art was circulated. The drawings were offensive to me and in my opinion inappropriate for a person seeking an office responsible with school children activities. I posted my views and my comment was removed. I posted again encouraging others to view the Leads fetish art and my account was suspended. The Lead immediately sent me a direct message and commented on my posts so he was aware and involved in my suspension. The category selected by the Lead for suspension was "hate". Here we have a Nextdoor appointed but unvetted Lead running for office practicing Nextdoor comment removal and suspension of a neighbor opposed to his candidacy. A candidate is free to make fetish art and I have the right to be offended and state it is inappropriate for the office they seek. Reverse my suspension. Remove Lead

    The suspension wasn't in error. The neighbor clearly violated the guidelines. But the suspension has been over for nearly two months and the neighbor can rejoin the website. If they choose not to rejoin, that is also their right to do so.

    We don't remove neighbors from positions on Nextdoor unless there is clear reason to do so. We work with them to become better at their roles. If this neighbor believes the Lead is acting in bad faith, or is violating guidelines themselves, they need to report the member to Nextdoor Support.

    I am rejecting this response because:I was not "correctly suspended" and I did not violate their guidelines. Nextdoor Support automatically suspends neighbors when their Neighborhood Leads submit a "report" on a comment. And contrary to what Nextdoor Support stated in their response, I can not log back in to my account without agreeing to the attached form (below) that is an admission that I did violate community guidelines which I have not. Those forms, when checked, are counted and used as part of Nextdoor’s process to permanently suspending neighbors.

    All this because Nextdoor allowed one of their Neighborhood Leads to maintain his Nextdoor Lead position while running for local political office and allowed him to “report” to Nextdoor Support opposing comments to his candidacy. And now, Nextdoor, after considering this matter continues to maintain that I have no right to express my opinion that this Lead's creation and publication of ****** fetish drawings is inappropriate for a candidate running for a position in the local school system. Apparently, Nextdoor fully supports his drawings in the school setting and have suspended me for disagreeing with that position.Not only is Nextdoor telling me I can’t express my point of view in opposition, they are in fact supporting their Neighborhood Lead to take action against me for expressing them. Nextdoor Support doesn’t have problem with his ****** fetish art but they do have a problem with me thinking his art is inappropriate for the office he seeks. Nextdoor is not willing to police their Leads and instead allow neighbors to victimized by some Lead's which by the way IS a violation of Nextdoor community guidelines.he suspension was made in error and Nextdoor I did not violate vcommunity guidelines when I commented on this Nextdoor Neighborhood Lead's candidacy. That Lead reported me and Nextdoor automatically suspended. I did not "discriminate" I commented that a candidate who publishes ****** fetish drawings is not appropriate for a school office.     Nextdoor has not taken any responsibility for my improper suspension and the misconduct of their Neighborhood Lead who targeted me for opposing his candidacy and commenting that his publication ****** fetish art makes him inappropriate candidate for a a School office.

    That Nextdoor Neighborhood Lead chose to run for local political office with the Alameda School District and that moment his is subject to the scrutiny of the local voters who speak out on Nextdoor just as he did promoting his campaign.That Lead used his Lead position given to him by Nextdoor to “report” neighbors who opposed or criticized him. Nextdoor processes Lead “reporting” into suspensions. 

    Nextdoor allows, promotes  and financially benefits from political discussion on their platform. Political discussion includes assessing the character and behavior of each candidate. Expressing opposition to the published ****** fetish art by a School office candidate is not hate, discrimination or shaming - it is an evaluation that the candidate is acting inappropriately for the office he seeks. The candidate is obviously not ashamed of his art as he has published and distributed it publicly. So sharing a link to the candidate’s published ****** fetish art is not shaming it is actually promoting the art he published.

    My original comment with a published link to the Lead/Candidate’s published ****** fetish art was removed by the Lead. I know this because he directly massaged me within the platform. I reposted again with link and encouraged voters to visit that site and was then suspended due to the Leads reporting me.

    I simply asked for this Lead's misconduct to be acknowledged and the improper suspension reversed.  It’s Nextdoor’s choice to do nothing about this. So I appreciate BBB’s opportunity to let others know that Nextdoor recruits neighbors who they turn into Leads and grant them additional access and monitoring powers.

    On 12/16/22 a user on Nextdoor posted paparazzi style photos of me and a "warning" to neighbors with speculation about me that is untrue. The post is a violation of my privacy and public shaming, and for no good reason. I "reported" the post on Nextdoor and submitted a request through their "Contact Us" page but it's unclear if or when anything will be done about it. Nextdoor continues to leave the post up for everyone to see. I'm guessing they haven't had a chance to review it yet, and if that's the case, they need to change how reported posts are handled. I am traumatized that rumors and libel were posted for neighbors to see. If a post is reported, it should be hidden until a decision on removal is made so that no more harm to my reputation can be done. This needs to happen immediately and not wait hours or days.Ultimately my main request if for the post to be removed.Secondly, please limit the viewing of reported posts until a decision can be made to avoid further harm.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

    The main issue was resolved but it's unfortunate Nextdoor does not have a process to handle these issues faster without writing to BBB.
