    On 11/17/22 I tried to run an advertisement on the Next door app. The Advertisement was rejecting saying the *** link for my website wasnt valid. However Next door still charged my credit card $93.00. I noticed the charge on my credit card on 3/13/23 and notified Next door, a representative of the company did respond and said a refund will be issued. I am complaining because of I hadnt noticed the charge they would have stolen $93.00 from me for an advertisement that was never approved and never ran on the next door app. I dont even know how they determined the total cost of $93.00 when it was supposed to be $3.00 a day while the advertisement was running. I believe this issue needs to be investigated further and this company is fraudulent.

    I have suddenly been slammed with multiple spam emails every single day and i *** want it. I have unsubscribed dozens of times. I ***t know how they got my address. I ***t want any contact for any reason what so ever

    I was blocked by Next Door without being told which post supposedly violated their policy. I was told I was a conspiracy theorist without being allowed to provide any documentation to support my opinion. Next Door hides behind their guideline policy but does not treat everyone equally depending on their own personal and political beliefs. Some are allowed to speak freely while others are censored. This needs addressed right away!

    It was clear misinformation. The account was only suspended for 3 days and then the member could login and rejoin.

    I am rejecting this response because: they will delete any proof of your comment  if it doesn't  fit their beliefs.  T H ey  descrimate against conservative  Christians,  while anyone else can say what they want.  My comment  was one of the mild ones in that post.  They called me a liar and conspiracy theorists.  Here is the proof to my comment.

    I posted a note suggesting the female minority candidate for mayor be considered. There are three candidates and 2 candidates are getting all the attention. I thought it would be nice to support and consider all three. My comment was removed and my account disabled. I posted again and pointed out censorship is never right. This comment was then removed and my account disabled again. There is nothing wrong with this comment and the guidelines prohibit this behavior. They offer no remedy so am trying this to get resolution. Comments supporting the community should not be removed. Obviously the local board is playing politics and that is unfortunate and should be addressed.

    The reason the post was deleted by moderators as far as we can tell is because the post turned into a personal disagreement between this member and other members. It was flagged as such and it was removed after some time. This member then went on to post about moderation and censorship which is in violation of the guidelines and he was suspended. His suspension is scheduled to end in a day, but he can rejoin if he wishes now.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    the disagreement was because ** was removing a post suggesting people consider a minority woman for mayor. ********* disagreement was because the ** review board and this person was supporting racism and sexism.  It appears ** has policies that support and protect that behavior.  I thought filing this complaint would help them see the error in their ways. I was mistaken.  I will not be rejoining a platform that supports this kind of backwards thinking.

     

    BBB - thank you for providing a platform to point this behavior out as ** does not provide a way to question this exceptionally poor behavior by their review boards.

    My dog was almost killed by off-leash dogs. When a neighbor posted the video evidence of the one-sided attack, so that we could organize a defense to protect ourselves from these repeat offenders, many other neighbors joined in to spread hate and discrimination. Instead of these people being banned, or warned, my account was temporarily banned (so that I cannot assist in the DEFENSE), taking away my right to my speech and sharing my story of victimhood. All I did was use a swear word, informing these hate-first responders that this situation was not a joke, hardly a real issue for grown adults. This is a dangerous act, to censor victims, because these aggressors are now more free to hurt, or actually kill, someone this time. I cannot imagine a worse use of these guidelines.

    Nextdoor Support very clearly did not understand the situation and cannot provide a shred of evidence for their accusation.  The fact is that they let another member harass me and others, on our post, in multiple threads, about a very sensitive topic.  They then suspended my account during a police investigation, limiting our ability to defend ourselves from real world aggressors.  Now they're victim blaming.

    The issue at hand is over the negligence of the company and their inability to manage their own community guidelines.  I do have the option of returning, but only if I admit fault to something I clearly did not do.

     

    The response received from Nextdoor showcases an incredibly inappropriate nature of disregarding the health and safety of their users, as well as their intent to interpret what should be our right to free speech, and just assume the content and intent of our words.  This is incredibly dangerous, as in this situation, we had an open police investigation against real aggressors, who caused harm to myself and my dog, requiring medical attention.  Removing me, while doing nothing wrong, during an active investigation, could have easily led to loss of life.  The cavalier "who cares?" attitude by this company shows their absolute lack of any capability to make such judgements.

     

    Why was I removed from my ability to gather and provide evidence against aggressors who are now legally classified as such?  We were lucky, this time, to find enough evidence to defend ourselves.  The next case may not be so lucky.  Is that how this company handles its own investigations?  No other company would be granted such egregious rights.

    The company is clearly not paying attention to what I'm saying, and rejecting any possibility of wrong-doing on their part.

     

    1.  I never made a post; I was working with others, as our communication channel, to gather evidence and warn others in the neighborhood.  This is the entire point of the product.  We had every right to do this and you took it away from us for reasons you can't explain, or provide evidence towards.

    2.  I am choosing to not admit that I did anything wrong, because clearly I did nothing wrong.  You are expecting to safeguard yourself by blaming the victim and forcing me to admit to something that never happened.  That is not an acceptable way to treat a customer, nor a human being in general.

    3.  The entire point of this report isn't to get me back on your platform.  Something this company needs to learn, is that a community is a collective of people, not "me me me."  I'm looking for the company to, at a very minimum, fix their horrific "community guidelines," or at least staff appropriately.  You cannot assume the intent or purpose of a person's words and interpret them however you want, claiming to be safeguarding us.  You are hurting us.  You are taking away our ability for a defense.

    4.  It has been made very clear that Nextdoor does not have the current capability to handle the responsibility they have towards their userbase and towards the community.  Something needs to change before an even more drastic situation occurs.

    5.  You don't know what occurred in the real world and you don't understand what that situation did to some of us.  Stacking on pain and allowing for what you did, is exactly what happens before someone goes over the edge and causes self harm.  Stop pretending like "everything's fine because we don't see anything and just deal with it."  Not everyone has the strength for that, and again, you don't know how your actions hurt people.  STOP.  Be a human being again.

    In February of 2023, I created an account with nextdoor, expecting to connect with neighbors in my city and learn about important things around me. But what I received were constant spammy emails and unhelpful information. They don't regulate nor moderate their platform, allowing people to spam offensive things and make unfair allegations about their neighbors. So I decided to try to delete my account. I notice there is a link for deactivating but not for deleting. I find a small unhelpful form to send to them. No support emails or anything. Apparently you need to be a community moderator just to do that. So I sent it to them 3/2/2023. I haven't gotten any answers or anything, but more spam emails. I had to manually disable every notification, category by category. I can't take these emails anymore, and feel unsafe for my privacy as they have my email and address. I'm disappointed and will not use this service again.

    I am a former local Lead on Nextdoor. Harassment and cyberbullying has run rampant on Nextdoor in ********, **. A political faction opposed to the current town government spams the main feed without consequence. When anyone opposes them, they gang up and mass report the opposing user in order to get them banned from the site. Recently they mass-reported the local Leads and Reviewers who don't moderate in their favor, despite many of their posts and comments violating Nextdoor's rules for harassment and uncivility. My account has been disabled yet again in retaliation for daring to say that I support the local town government and a project to build a new town square. I have not even commented hardly in the main news feed, just in local groups that are focused on the area. It is shameful that ND allows this conduct to take place despite multiple reports and verified proof of it happening.

    I am rejecting this response because:  I HAVE BEEN DOING EXACTLY THIS FOR OVER A YEAR AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED!  My account was disabled for telling another member that ND prohibits multiple accounts!  This is shameful by ND to allow both my account to remain suspended and for these agitators to continue.  I have requested management intervention multiple times and so have others in my town, but it never happens.  ND is refusing to respond to my emails now.  Why can you not acknowledge my account was disabled incorrectly and restore it?

    I am rejecting this response because:  I have provided literally hundreds of screenshots and links to content on ND that violates your guidelines over the past year to ********************.  I have reported dozens of posts and accounts through the app many many times only to receive canned replies and no action.  So have the other victims of harassment in our town.  Instead, ND chooses to suspend our accounts and drag the appeals out so long that we in effect serve the wrongful suspensions.  All while those who harass us make duplicate accounts and continue their harassment.  **'s responses here are nothing more than victim blaming.

    For the last several years I have been trying to unsubscribe from nextdoor. I have gone into the app, email unsubscribe, customer support and nothing. I see this is pretty common based on a ****** searhc.
