    Nextdoor has continued to censor any post I make that doesn't conform to their extreme socialist political preferences. For instance, I recently said we should stop all legal immigration for 100 years (which actually was in response to someone else who was making a response to someone else. It's not as though I created an entirely new post in the neighborhood about immigration. My post was in response to someone else's comment within a post). I wasn't saying anything "hateful," but they banned my account for two weeks. This is perfectly acceptable speech and Nextdoor has acted like a radical tyrant. Nextdoor continues to allow a very small number of so-called "offended" people to report someone and have them vanish from the site for a few weeks. This is unacceptable.

    Ive been member of Nextdoor for almost decade. I made a simple post offering services, just like everyone else does, but my account was disabled in less than 24 hours without any notice. I can no longer access any of my personal information, including my profile pic of my wife and I. And Im unable to contact anybody through their so-called support help center.Just wondering if I had not included a profile picture of myself and my wife on my account.. would it still be active? Where is the inclusivity and equity in San **** these days? Ridiculous. Dont download this app, I just want my account deleted. Not using app ever again.. and I highly recommend all others do the same.

    Ive received your notice that Nextdoor had replied to my complaint and they stated I should -continue trying to- access their online help center.

    Subsequently, I have finally reached someone at the company. They asked me to confirm my name and theyd update my profile and restore the account. Finally..

    As a result, it appears the problem has been resolved and my account is no longer disabled. I have no idea what happened with this companys customer service or why I was stuck in a support loop for over a month.

    I am satisfied with their response and would like the complaint closed. I didnt see where I could close the complaint myself online, or make comment with an update, so Im emailing instead.

    I was receiving so many emails from NextDoor I deleted my account. Then, I received a notice from NextDoor stating: Unfortunately, because your account was suspended (either currently or in the past), we are unable to comply with your request for the deletion of your personal information, as it is necessary for us to maintain this information for reasons that *** include maintaining the security of our platform, protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, and/or exercising or defending legal claims I didnt know my account was ever suspended! They do not have the right to keep my personal information. As I said I did not know my account had been suspended. The only hiccup was when a neighbor was upset and made a comment similar to: ****** Crickets, why is everything so expensive and I replied with a harmless joke. I asked them to provide why they suspended me. They stated: We suspended your account December 31st for the following comment violating the Guidelines for non-local politics and trolling.This isnt **************, but you might ask him.The post included a photo of President ****** You then reactivated your account on January 6th 2023 after agreeing to abide by our Guidelines At that time I did not realize I was reactivated anything, I thought my post was just deleted. WHY DOES THIS GIVE NEXTDOOR THE RIGHT TO KEEP MY PERSONAL INFORMATION? It was a harmless clean joke using words from the cartoon Pinocchio! I am closing my account because I am tired of the tremendous amount of unsolicited emails filling up my email box. The joke was harmless, no bad words, no hate speech, I did not know I violated anything. I believe keeping my personal information because of a harmless joke using Jiminy Cricket and a photo of the person in charge of our economy is wrong. I believe I am being targeted by a nasty woke company over one small joke. This is OVERREACH. I want my personal information deleted.

    nextdoor charged ****** unauthorized on my credit card, nor did they run a ad for me or refund what is justly mine. the credit card company is equally responsible, I wonder how many people in a month they steal from.

    I created a Nextdoor account in an attempt to make neighbors aware of my service. I created an ad with the intent of having it run for one month at the cost of $81.00. Five months later while searching my online *********** statement I noticed a charge of $81.00. I then attempted to contact ********* but conveniently there is no contact information. I searched the entire website as well as tried ****** searching, without success. Without having any contact information to reach the merchant I contacted *********** to see if they could contact them. They as well were not able to contact ********* so I was left with only the option of filling a dispute. I filled the dispute for seven charges of $81.00 ($567.00). Since there was no contact information for the merchant and I had no documented attempt of contacting ********* *********** was forced to close the dispute. It is my belief that Nextdoor purposely does not have a way to contact them on their website or via search engine for this very purpose. They have generic cancellation instructions on the site that do not apply to my account, leaving me with no way to cancel the subscription I never knew I had. This is classic predatory business practice and Nextdoor should be held accountable. Businesses should not be allowed to operate without allowing for some form of contact from its consumers. I am requesting they stop billing me and refund all debits accept the initial $81.00. This shouldn't have been a recurring charge and Nextdoor certain should have a means for consumers to contact them in the event of a unauthorized charges. I am prayerful that this governing body will be able to assist with having Nextdoor refund all debits.

    I was recently suspended from Nextdoor for posting a humorous post I found online. Everyone but one person really liked it and found it hysterical. It was. It was satirical humor but not offensive or attacking anyone. I have been stalked by a few members and leads for no apparent reason other than they are not nice people and love to report me which they have done repeatedly. I also have reported posts that go against Nextdoors TOS, ie., the sale of animals but my reports are ignored and the posts are allowed to stay. Nextdoor does not seem to have any sort of functioning system in place to vet or supervise those who are responsible for moderating the neighborhoods. Another friend of my suffers the same assaults as I do. Moderation on Nextdoor is not fair but rather very biased. Someone posted an unpleasant post regarding one of my cats but I ignored it and moved on. If I had posted that upsetting post I would have been reported and temporarily suspended. I was suspended once for referring to border crossers as illegal border crossers. Other people used the same term with no repercussions. The entire moderation system on Nextdoor is wrong and some the people who are leads in my neighborhood are nothing more than stalkers looking for anything to remove certain people from their site. I have always had good responses to my posts, especially my animal posts, and havent deserved the discriminatory treatment I have received. I am now permanently suspended because of the nastiness of a few leads and their buddies.

    My post was a humorous one which everyone thought was funny except one person.  This person said it didnt belong on Nextdoor and to put it on *********  The odd part of this is I found the post I used on Nextdoor and nothing happened to the person who originally posted it.  In addition, I am stalked by ********************* and he loves to report me.  The discrimination and disabling accounts on Nextdoor is not fair nor is it the same for everyone.   I attached what I posted and it is what got my account disabled which was unfair.

    I opened an account recently, decided it was another social media platform with little merit, tried to close the account, was confirmed that the account would be closed within 72 hours, and they CONTINUE to send me stuff, and absolutely REFUSE to close the account. There is nothing on their website that allows me to connect with them to inquire about this, its a simple request: CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. Why is it so difficult?

    I made a previous complaint to the BBB, and Nextdoor explained that they offered me 9 chances before suspending my account indefinitely. What they failed to mention is in each "chance", my post was flagged by a person on the platform that did not share the same opinions, and biasedly voted to remove my posts. I asked that this biased voting be looked into, but it never was (Nextdoor stated they agreed with the biased user that my post was against guidelines) To prove my point that biased reporting was happening, I made a post about a fictitious book I read in which a kid found a stray cat and was contemplating what to name it (Nextdoor deleted this post, and when asked for a copy of it, they refused to provide it to me).I was kicked off the platform with no real justification (the Nextdoor representatives explained that my posts violated their terms, but also admitted that the decision to delete an author's post is based on select users' votes. These special users are called Leads. I was a Lead at one point, but that role was taken away by Nextdoor because (as they explained it to me) I was not voting to delete or keep posts in a manner expected by Nextdoor (why would you ask someone to vote on something if you are only going to accept one answer?). I asked for clarifying explanations, but no one at Nextdoor had any. This is oppressive behavior under the guise of a democratic process.Nextdoor is violating basic constitutional rights in their oppressive and unfair practices.

    The part about this that the neighbor seems to not understand is that Nextdoor's Guidelines are there for a reason. Leads can vote on content and if Nextdoor Support disagrees on the removal, we'll restore it. But if someone is a Lead and they themselves don't comply with the Guidelines, we will remove them, just like this member. This neighbor failed to comply with the guidelines time and time again which shows in their number of suspensions and their current inability to rejoin Nextdoor.

    I am rejecting this response because: the business does not address my allegations.  They only state the obvious: that I was suspended.  This is a perfect example of Nextdoor allowing discriminating and oppressive behavior on their site.  They don't have an explanation as to why my suspension was justified, they just attempt to villianize me by stating I was suspended multiple times.  They never investigated any of the bias reporting I tried to tell them about.  They ignored all of my requests to speak to higher *** about it...they just turned off my account and are continuing to allow bias reporting and oppressive behavior (my experience with Nextdoor is not uncommon...take a look around the internet...)

    Nextdoor's response STILL has not addressed my allegation of biased reporting and suspensions based on these biased reportings.  They also have not explained what exactly was uncivil about any of my posts. 

    I am guilty of posting frustrations about moderation protocols on Nextdoor (I attempted to discuss my frustrations about moderation with Nextdoor, but they were unresponsive so I posted in hopes my fellow neighbors could help me understand.  Instead of informing me that talking about moderation is against their guidelines, they, without notice, pulled my post and suspended my account).  The fact that discussions about moderation is against Nextdoor guidelines only further supports my claim that Nextdoor is practicing in oppressive practices and censorship against the minority opinion (if they were open about moderation, they wouldn't need to hide behind a guideline and prohibit talking about something that obviously is an issue with more than a few on the platform).

    I never posted anything uncivil.  Though it could be inferred that my post was about a particular person, the person was never explicitly mentioned. And, the only way anyone would know who I was talking about (because I was talking in generalizations, e.g.: "it is disheartening to see how prevalent narcissism has become in our society"), is if you were the person that biasedly voted my previous post off because it did not align with their opinion.  I brought this up (the fact that the person calling my posts "uncivil" was the same person that voted my generalized post off for "bullying or belittling others") to Nextdoor, and instead of doing the right thing (suspending the other person's account and investigating), they attempted to cover it up by suspending my account indefinitely.

    Again, I am not the only person that has experienced this EXACT same issue.  These complaints are everywhere  (except Nextdoor, because they do everything they can to conceal it).

We investigate each report of a neighbor (or Lead) violating the guidelines (or in this instance, complaints about moderation). But we don't share outcomes with anyone except on their specific account. That information is private to each neighbor.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Again, Nextdoor has deflected and claimed they have already explained.  There was no explanation given in November, and none given as of today.  This is simply a cover-up to an issue they overlooked: I was unjustly removed from the platform, only because of biased voting on the part of a Lead member on Nextdoor.  In every instance where one of my posts was removed for "violating guidelines", it was the same Lead member that nominated the post for removal. I brought this to the attention of Nextdoor, but no investigation occurred.  I proved this by creating a post that was objectively NOT in violation of any Nextdoor policies (it was about a fictional book, that does not exist....in which a child finds a stray cat and decides on a name for it)...and that post was voted to be removed for "bullying", even though it was noted explicitly in the post that the book was fictious.  The use of Nextdoor guidelines to oppress minority opinions is a real and ongoing issue and needs to be stopped.

    Beginning September 2022 through January 19, 2023 several complaints filed with NextDoor for harassment from members yet Nextdoor retaliated and suspended my account several times. NextDoor supports bullies without any credit evidence and NextDoor claims I made uncivil comments have no merit.Nextdoor has a double standard leveling unsubstantiated accusations, failure to submit evidence, protecting bullies and retaliation against me. Claiming my comments retaliated against another member is non sense. Defending myself attack harassment is not retaliation. Nextdoor is a toxic unhealthy platform encouraging bullies *************************, ****************, and Leads ************************* and ******************************** standard and hypocrisy at Nextdoor will not be tolerated. I too have member protections. I demand NextDoor take action against these biased Lead / Founders. He is a neighbor that has been watched and constantly adds comments to posts just to cause issues.     BBB is unable to locate the business.
    I installed the Nextdoor app but quickly felt like it was a horrible app because I was getting spammed with notifications. I uninstalled the app and thought I was done getting spammed. Now, multiple times a day, Nextdoor sends me emails. I click the unsubscribe link every single time and unsubscribe from their email list, but I keep getting new emails. Nextdoor only gives one unsubscribe option at a time, such as "general posts" and when I unsubscribe from it, I still receive emails from the general posts category. The unsubscribe page is made to be confusing, with a slider bar that you click, with no way to know if a click means you unsubscribed or resubscribed. This is a violation of the CAN-SPAM by the *** that requires businesses to allow users to unsubscribe easily and with clear instructions.
