    Nextdoor has arbitrary, capricious, and punitive "policies." They have suspended me with no explanation and no warning. Seriously, how can they expect someone to follow "community guidelines" if they don't tell you which "guideline" you violated?Almost all REPUTABLE websites have contact info listed. Not Nextdoor. There is NO place on their website with contact info.Additionally, the moderators in ************** are notorious for allowing egregious speech from some users and doing nothing about it.Apparently Nextdoor is perfectly fine with libel and, indeed, punishes the person libeled.I'm 99% sure I know who reported me. She basically accused me of theft and I responded by saying "get a grip." How that is a violation of any sort escapes me.Let's pretend for a minute I'm wrong about who reported me. HOW WOULD I KNOW, and HOW would I know which "guideline" was supposedly violated?While I realize ND can do whatever it wants and is, apparently, not constrained by the First Amendment, it seems to have an incredibly toxic and arbitrarily punitive business model. Nextdoor, how about letting people know what they've allegedly done to offend? Can you be a good corporate citizen and (a) provide warnings, (b) explain what the alleged violation is, and (c) provide a "contact **" link on your website? I know you'd be inundated with complaints, but it's what a website with integrity would do. .Own your BS Nextdoor.P.S. Interestingly, as I go to post this, I see contact info. So in order to get that information, you need to file a complaint. What an incredibly shoddy business model.

    When a neighbor is suspended, they will see some text as to why they were suspended and have the ability to send an email to Nextdoor Support at all times.

    This company allows the same neighbors who might be harassing you(in a way that doesn't cross the line of legality), to also decide whether or not your complaint about them can stay. They then allow those same harassing neighbors to review your appeal when you try to defend your case. This gives way to a mob mentality in which all your neighbors can gang up on you and make fun of you for complaining about them.....this app will lead to serious crimes as some people wont be able to handle such alienation.....it's very sad.

    Nextdoor has again been biased!Leads are bullies! If you defend yourself, you will violated! This has happened numerous times hardly a reason. Toxic site! Recent instance was a post of a woman with health issues posting about her missing dog. Lead J LANE was the one that had her dog. ******** is a lead and bullied woman. I defended her. Me ^ woman were violated the same day 5/4.Nextdoors community guidelines are discriminatory, biased an matter of opinion. Just received email that nextdoor is canceling my account!RESOLUTION SEEKING!     I  cannot reach ND successfully in past!  In this complaint I stated I was treated unfairly multiple times!  ***** time I would  "defend" myself from another and in this case it was a lead who was bullying  another's  post who I was defending!  BIASED!!  I already asked for my contacts after ND deleted my account.  They never responded!

    Rejecting because this was what I tried to do and subsequently why and other reasons I filed this complaint with BBB.

    Nextdoor thinks they have a great reason as to why my account was banned .I would like to ask ND corporate .How would you feel if a personal picture of your wife was posted as someone elses FB profile picture without your consent. My wife was horrified didnt know this person. ********** thought I took pictures (cartoon characters ) off his FB page . I never did and tried to tell him .***** a lawyer to have picture taken down. The next 8 months ***************** me. laughing emoji on every post/comments. I asked ND to have him stop even asked **** to stop it only made it worse. ND response they cant do anything about the laughing emojis or what goes on in other social media.I forwarded my letter from my lawyer to ND no results of fixing my problem .. **** N constantly trolling me getting me suspended, I belonged to a political group and the mod of that group showed me ********** reported me 9 times in 2 weeks . And nothing happened to **** even though excessive reporting is a ND violation.I am sure ND is going to justify my account ban . But I would think ********** should have his account banned as well . I cant believe you would want anyone on your site who would do the stunt he did to my wife and I .I ask anyone reading this how would you feel if this was done to your wife. ** knew about this and did nothing . I even blocked him but still saw his laughing emojis . This emoji situation was used as a harrasment tool .The solution was to ban my account and allow my bully to stay on .. the right thing to do is ban ***** accounts as well.he was equally as wrong. I did nothing wrong but to defend my wife. This episode caused a lot of stress and horror we do not know **** and what he is capable of doing .If ND had a better blocking system this wouldnt have happened . So I dont care what response ND gives if they give any at all . My wife and I know the horror we had to endure because of this predator which Nextdoor allowed to happen.This drama started on ND they didnt help

    I am rejecting this response because: No one ever worked with me from Nextdoor . **** N repeatedly trolled me and excessively reported me which is a Nextdoor violation. No one contacted me from Nextdoor to resolve this issue with ************* And your policy of using real names allowed ********** to know my name and address and was able to take a personal picture of my wife without my knowledge after a fellow FB friend warned me of the criminal act . I sent ND all the proof .. the ceased and desist letter given to **** from my lawyer and the picture of my wife as **** profile picture which a friend of mine showed me as he was friends with **** on FB  as well . I didnt not know **** and was unaware of this criminal act . ND did nothing to help . I asked ND for help and they said there is nothing they can do as what goes on at other social media . Even though ND policy was the vehicle for **** to commit this illegal act . Again ND did nothing to resolve this issue but ban my account and allowed the guy who violated my privacy by taking a personal picture which is illegal in the state of NY and he is allowed to stay on ND . I did nothing illegal and I am the one with the ban . Shame on ND for not protecting one of its members. All I asked was for help and didnt get any

    Our Escalations manager worked directly with this neighbor and allowed him to rejoin after one of the suspensions and gave him expectations about how he could keep his account, versus what would get it suspended again. This neighbor and the person he's having the conflict with are having this conflict outside of Nextdoor as well, and we can only police what happens on Nextdoor.

    ND is now lying . You did absolutely nothing to help me with my predator. Yes this escalated on another social media but it started on Nextdoor . I asked Nextdoor to tell **** to stop instead you guys were preoccupied about suspending me and nothing happened to ***** account. I have all the emails if you would like to see them . I asked ND to tell **** to stop with the laughing emoji .. ND  responded .. there is nothing they can do about that . I asked ND to look into the excessive reporting from **** . I belonged to a political group and the moderator sent me proof that **** reported me 9 times in 2 weeks.. its your policy that excessive reporting is a violation.. nothing happened to **** . **** threatened another member with gun violence. He got a 30 day suspension but still  allowed to stay on. He violated my rights and my wifes rights  to privacy by taking an unauthorized picture, but yet he is still allowed to stay on next-door. Instead of sending **** a message to leave me and my wife alone all I got from ND is they couldnt do anything. Your blocking system is another major flaw . It only blocks one way. ******************* gets to see my posts and comments .. even though I block him he can still comment on my posts . I feel if you continue to ban my account his should be banned as well . He threatened another member with a  gun.. I have that email. He legally violated my rights and he is still on ND. .. Next door did absolutely nothing to help with this situation. 
    Again I am asking for ND to tell **** to leave me and my wife alone and reinstate my account and I want a complete block so ***************** see my account and my wifes . But if you continue with me being banned he should as well. He broke the law way more than any Nextdoor violation .. having to pay for a lawyer is no fun..Nextdoor should have intervened  before this escalated out of control. **** should not be allowed on ND he is dangerous is this the kind of people you want on your site . I may have violated policies but I never threaten anyone and I never did an illegal act . He is a cyber bully, and you are giving him a platform to do it.

    For the last several months, Nextdoor moderators in our area (**************, ******** in ******** ****) have been showing bias against me specifically, and pushing back against my efforts to fight misinformation on the *************. They have shown a disgustingly high amount of favoritism towards religious right-wingers specifically. More recently they have taken to repeatedly deleting or hiding my posts, even when they dont violate any rules. Basically they are twisting or misinterpreting the rules to use them against me. As an example, I recently posted something that was not spam, and the mods continually hid or deleted the comment as spam. How could it be spam if it was never viewable to other users in more than one iteration? This is fascist behavior, and misuse of power. Something should be done about it, but I dont want any retaliation against me so Im not sure what to do.Please do not give out my phone number to anyone. Nextdoor mods cant be trusted with such information.

    I feel I have been unjustly targeted by a local reviewer and had multiple comments hidden or deleted from a thread that I authored. The post concerned a local restaurant, and the first sentence was "Not going back to Caffe! Caffe!. I posted factual information along with a photo to substantiate what I claimed. In response to my post, the owner of the business posted a hostile reply which included false allegations about what I said. Several other people reacted negatively to my criticism of the business, and they seemed unduly angry -- like perhaps they were a friend or family member of the owners. Their anger seemed disproportionate to the complaint I had. Those comments were allowed to remain on the thread, while multiple respectful comments I made in response were deleted. My comments were made both in defense of my position and in directly answering questions by other members (and accusations by the owner of the business). This situation has led to a lack of context in the discussion and is EXTREMELY unfair to me. For instance, I posted an example of how the complaint could have been handled by the owner in order to prevent the type of discussion that ensued. It was completely respectful, and yet even that was removed. I am asking for a review of the entire thread and a recovery of all my comments which were "hidden" or deleted by a reviewer. Taken in context of the entire discussion, they are respectfully written and should fall within guidelines. I also request oversight of the reviewer who deleted those comments and ask that appropriate action is taken if it is found that he or she abused their discretion to delete comments. This type of situation is harmful to the core of Nextdoor because it erodes people's faith that it is a level playing field where people can share ideas and be "policed" by reviewers fairly. Thank you for considering my complaint. I hope that you can restore faith and trust in the Nextdoor reviewing system.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    Someone on the thread in question advised me that I should report the fact that my comments and others were being removed, so I responded to them that I had reported the issue and that it was being handled with the review team.  For THAT comment, someone suspended my account for 31 days!!  I am not aware that this would violate guidelines.  

    I have an elderly family member who has had a serious accident and has fractures in his femur.  I posted something asking for advice on this, and now I can't access my account to read the responses.  PLEASE lift my suspension ASAP, and if a reviewer should not have imposed a suspension, please do something about this targeting by the review team.  I am almost sure that the owner of the business which was being discussed has influence on one or multiple people on the review team.  The situation seems out of control, and although I read in the reply from Nextdoor that it was being handled with the review team, many of my comments still have not been restored.

    The review team seems to be looking for ANY reason to suspend me, and it's getting to the point where I can hardly say anything without having the comment removed or being suspended.

    I have a suggestion for consideration by Nextdoor policy makers.  There is too much power being wielded by some members of review teams against people they just do not like.  Many comments by others which would seem to warrant removal stay posted, and other comments made by me which seem perfectly fine are removed.  Perhaps there could be a limit on how long someone can serve in that capacity.

    I am rejecting this response because:  The response from Nextdoor is very disappointing...  My original complaint was that my comments on a post I authored were being unjustly removed by the local review team.  I requested that those comments be restored to the post because neighbors were only getting one side of the story.  My comments were respectful, and I maintain that they were being "reported" as being uncivil or unkind simply to get them deleted because I spoke truth about a local business whose owners apparently have clout with the review team. The discussion was lacking context once my comments were deleted, especially since the owner's comment (of the business in question) was allowed to remain posted.  The original response I received to my complaint here was that it was "being handled with the review team," leading me to believe that my comments would be restored.  A neighbor on the thread recommended to me that I report the issue of removed comments.  I REPLIED that I HAD reported it and that it was being handled with the review team.  I expected that my comments would be restored.  Because I posted THAT simple reply, my account was immediately suspended for 31 days!  Nextdoor is now contending that I had 15 comments which violated guidelines and had to be removed.  This is unbelievable. I wish I had a copy of all of them so that I could post them here, but I do have a copy of one.  I made the following comment in response to a nasty reply by the owner of a restaurant (her comment was allowed to remain posted).  I was suggesting how the owner COULD have handled my complaint, which would have resulted in a win-win situation for everyone.  Nextdoor REMOVED the following comment and maintains that it violated guidelines (shaming):

    "As a former business owner of only six years, not 31, my response would have been along the lines of: 'As the owner of ********** for 31 years, I am very sorry that your recent experience didn't meet your expectations. I can see from the photo you posted that a mistake did indeed occur. We always regret the need for price increases, especially in this economy, but I assure you that we did not intentionally decrease the portion size of any of our dessert items. We appreciate your loyal patronage of 20 years and hope that we have the opportunity to serve you again. If you return, please ask for me or my manager on duty so that we can make this right.'  And I might like to add, thank you for NOT posting your review on Yelp or Trip Advisor...Instead, I got chastised."  THAT is one 15 comments that were removed for violating guidelines. 

    With this response from Nextdoor, I do not expect that their support department will do anything further to help me.  Their suppression of speech is so over-the-top that almost any comment could "violate guidelines" if it were reported by someone.  The review process is being abused by leads who can APPOINT a person of THEIR CHOOSING to be a co-lead.  This seems to be resulting in an abuse of power by people who have the ability to remove the comments of people they disagree with or of someone they personally dislike.  It does not appear that Nextdoor is concerned about this.

    It's bad enough that my civil comments were not restored to the thread I authored, but it is even worse that a 31-day suspension is being allowed to stand, simply because I responded to a suggestion by someone else that I report the issue.  I am requesting that my suspension be lifted now, as I have already been suspended for about 10 days.  Thank you.

    Nextdoor has created an environment that opens people up to identify theft. I attempted to protect my identity with common online safety practices which includes using a username and not your real name on a public forum, especially one that provides information as to where you live. I am a victim of identity theft and I have a right to protect my identity online while enjoying online services. I demand immediately to restore access to the site and to force this site to use user names and not real names. If this is not done, I will *** the site for exposing vulnerable information.

    I am rejecting this response because using real names on platform such as Nextdoor increases the risk of identity theft.  Even using initial in posts does not address the issue of how my personal information is protected from data breaches and from other users.  Nextdoor has not provided a way to protect my information from a data breach and I am dealing with identity theft from other sources besides Nextdoor.  My information has been compromised in at least 10 data breaches.  This is why user names for any online platform is extremely important

    I posted articles from local papers in response to a member claiming my comments about gender surgery was "hateful speech". I quoted directly from the article's websites & included the site. Nextdoor deleted my account, including all the items I had spent hours posting for sale, claiming I "discriminated" against someone. Really?? This after I was called a "racist who promotes hate speech" & that the "Right was making a mockery out of a bill" from one of their very Democrat/Left members, who by the way is still on their site. I have done nothing wrong & instructed Nextdoor to reactivated my account within 24 hours. Nextdoor discriminates against white Republicans, seniors & military spouses, which I happen to be all of. Nextdoor is a public forum for all **************** have singled me out solely because of my political affiliation. Nextdoor discriminately removes people from their site without contacting them for their side. They only care about keeping left-minded ******************* flowing.

    The subject matter that I posted questioned the fairness of bio men /trans women competing in womens sports. The case in point was the *******************/*********************** article that I posted along with a cartoon they stated was political and against their guidelines. In light of the fact that all I did was ask for member opinions I feel I was suspended for simply asking public opinion. It appears that although this was posted on the Politics site it did not pass muster based on the liberal ideas and staff of NextDoor who have a propensity with subject matter that is being discussed nationally .except on NextDoor which prefers to sweep it under the rug. Further clouding the subject with their bias. I wrote a letter to the Communications Officer *********************** and never received an answer, even though a few weeks earlier she asked me about my opinion regarding NextDoor.

    The member was not only correctly suspended for the post, the member is indefinitely suspended from Nextdoor for too many guidelines violations. The post was very much against our guidelines.
