    My account was banned for no reason other than being reported because I am a conservative The people on here that are so-called leads and run this site are all liberals Democrats if you post anything about their party in any negative way or post anything positive about Republican party you get reported and eventually banned.

    Our guidelines clearly state that the term "illegal aliens" is a violation of the guidelines. 

    This is what we say is a violation: Use slurs, profanity, derogatory racial terms, or other language that reduces an individuals humanity. This includes the use of the dehumanizing terms, illegals, illegal aliens, or aliens to refer to non-citizens, the use of racial code words (e.g., Thug or Oriental), as well as the use of derogatory language to refer to people who have a criminal history (e.g., "scum" or "animals").

    I am filing a complaint about Nextdoor.com in response to their Guideline policies and how NEXTDOOR themselves do not adhere to them! There is no way to contact them other than email and then when you DO hear back from them, it is usually not a complete answer or one that doesn't even address the question you wrote them about. So then you are caught up in a merry-go-round of trying to reach them. The nextdoor site is a really neat concept BUT the folks that SHOULDN'T be scolded are and the nasty folks that SHOULD be scolded aren't. Its run really backwards. I believe there to be some discrimination within the company. But that doesn't belong here on BBB. I have received just today some 'warnings' of posts I have made that are angelic compared to some I have received. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the way they run this ship. EACH AND EVERY person needs to be scolded or NONE at all! And that's not what's happening. Also, there are meant to be moderators in the neighborhoods we can speak to but there are none posted and none that seem to be around when you need one. Today I received a warning about a thread I started and was scolded that I was not to speak of National Politics. The topic was NOT National Politics, it was LOCAL politics! I sometimes wonder if Nextdoor knows their OWN guidelines! I just think the *** or whomever needs to look a little closer into their moderators and crack down on the bannings and scoldings of their members. I see so much hatred and animosity and comments made that are ALLOWED to be made and the posters are NEVER held accountable. And yet I and others have been banned for a year at a time for saying MUCH less! There needs to be a better way of monitoring this venue! I do believe there is discrimination against the posters. But that's to be addressed elsewhere than BBB. My request would be to have the President of this company call me. He or she needs to look more closely at their moderation practices!

    I have been using Nextdoor for a few years. I just posted about the refugees moving into the ********************* The posts were all positive and even offering to give help, i.e. clothing, blankets, kitchen stuff, etc. For some reason Nextdoor remove this post and suspended me without letting me know.

    I am rejecting this response because: how do they suspend me by mistake?  Someone had to make the effort to do it and they did.

    It is because I had written a post about the migrants moving into the ************ ************************** They said it was discrimination.  It was not discriminating at all.  Every response was positive and they removed my post and removed me until I was able to get in touch with them.  They still removed the post but gave me access after saying it was a mistake.  They are too controlling over people's opinions.

    The neighbor used the word refugee in a way that caused the post to violate the guidelines, but it was not enough to suspend for. That was the mistake and we realized it soon there after.

    This person is a moderator on your site and was a direct reason for my recent two week ban which affected my business. You should be ashamed of having people like this have the ability to harm other people with their emotional issues. This will fall on deaf ears and this person will continue to terrorize your next door neighborhood of *******. Myself and many others are leaving the site for this reason.

    I know this to be false. Two things: first you can see the community member badge on their profile.and secondly, I have seen screenshots of this person voting on the reported comments of others. No worries though. I have already deactivated and will be formally petitioning you to delete all my account data. No need to make the site any less a pile of hot garbage... I am no longer on it.

    There is a defect in the group moderation feature that allows the moderator to ban trolling members from the group. Nextdoor has the same problem most social media apps have, some members cannot be civil and are openly hostile to other members, banning them provides a mechanism for members to speak at will without fear of being publicly shamed or mocked. There was a change to that particular feature and I notified Nextdoor, banned members have found a way to post uncivil messages anyway. Nextdoor acknowledged that this was a defect, but indicated they were not able to correct it. I do not buy that explanation, here is the text of this complaint. Essentially they are saying they know they have a defect but don't want to fix it. I'm sure there is someone in marketing or management that feels that this would reduce the number of members on the site.     It does look like this is a bug. But if the neighbor is a moderator and the group is private, you can remove other neighbors from the group. That would be my advice.

    I am rejecting this response because: This is a public account, banned members are still able to post to the group and are openly harassing group members. Your support desk has indicated that it is a bug but they don't or won't be able to fix it, that is my complaint.

    I am writing to complain about Nextdoor Neighbor a social media company as well as a business corporation. Nextdoor Neieghbor, in order to increase their platform has relaxed its criteria for membership. It used to be that you needed to be verified as real and that you had to have your real name attached to a profile. This is no longer the case and because that is so, numerous fake profiles have popped up posting false information and generally trolling creating a lot of upset for legitimate users on issues they care about. This is becoming a huge problem and Id like it addressed or at least highlighted by BBB

    I and many others have had our accounts suspended simply because our words did not fit the agenda of next door. My Freedom of speech is being violated I have done nothing wrong except to just give my opinion next door does not investigate to see if I have done any wrong doing nor do they attempt to reach out they just up and suspend my account for no reason then when ask why they suspended my account they never give the reason I feel they are showing a lot of bias toward me I tried to contact them but they have blocked me from logging in this is all I get (Account temporarily disabled Your account has been temporarily disabled for a violation of this Community Guideline:Be respectful to your neighbors We want all neighbors to feel welcome, safe, and respected on Nextdoor.     I am rejecting this response because: I would like evidence of the uncivil comment that was made I can not show the comment due to them deleting it not to mention the only thing I did was share the comment because it as promoting violence  toward  2 children of Color the home owner had chased down 2 Black ******** Boys Harassed them took pictures of them  and posted them on Next door web site other were saying they would have shot them some were saying worse things I simply re posted it asked if this was illegal next thing I know i was  kicked out every time I make a comment on illegal things or something pertaining to someones safety or **************** becomes Bias if something isn't done I will report them to a higher **** because this is  a public platform as to where freedom of speech  has no limits no matter who Owns I have not been uncivil or anything else for that matter it it was true of what they said they would have sent  the comment I made as proof of the rules I broke . I do have part of the post  that  was posted by the home owner that possible got mad because I re-posted asking if this was legal

    I canceled my subscription to this, yet I can't get it to stop sending me updates as if I am still interested. Stop sending me your updates and using up my data. I can't get them to LEAVE ME ALONE!

    Next door app is very rude and keeps harassing me and when I say something about it, my account gets deleted. The leaders leave a very rude post in response and thats all that ever happens. I think that Next Door should be shut down entirely if they cannot make the necessary changes.

    The neighbor's account was suspended because they aren't using their real name. Nextdoor has a real name policy.
