Nextdoor claims everyone has the right to voice their views or opinions as long as they are civil. This is in their guidelines. ******* Electric posted pictures of an LGBTQ parade on the main feed. I was under the impression that Nextdoor did not side with the left or the right, but my conservative comment was removed. I commented with an explanation of ***** Bill 14. Pro-LGBTQ views are allowed, but my support for our ***** bill, which prevents doctors from giving children meds, hormones and genital reassignment surgeries, is not allowed. I was reported for discrimination, which is very offensive. The notification they provided described discrimination as, No racism, hateful language or discrimination of any kind is tolerated. I stated an actual ***** bill. I stated facts, it was not subjective opinions, personal attacks or insults towards anyone. When I emailed Nextdoor, they said my comment was discriminatory and was removed, they attached a link to their guidelines, but upon reading them, they did not pertain to my comment. My comment was civil. Last week I was reported wrongfully after making this comment and I was banned. I contacted Nextdoor, they apologized and said this was done in error and my account was restored. I was using this app for my business. Getting constantly reported and banned by a team of my neighbors who have proven to be bias, is violating my own right to have this account. I am not violating any rules. I have read through the entire policy. And Nextdoor has not shown me which section I violated. Stating an actual law is not discrimination. I was told by a team lead that I should create a group for people who think like me, but the policy states that making political opinions are allowed anywhere in the app. I dont have to create a group to voice my opinion as long as it is civil. I would like my neighborhood leads to be investigated for abuse of power and I would like my comment restored. Their views are allowed, mine should be too.

The neighbor's comment was removed because of our equality guideline, which you can read here: **************************************************************************************.

    Complaint: 20213471

I am rejecting this response because:
Stating a ***** law IS NOT discrimination. Under their guidelines, I am allowed to share political views anywhere in the app, unless its campaign related. I did not violate discrimination guidelines. Nextdoor is bias and does not support anyone who has conservative views. Liberal views and support is allowed. This is discrimination. Nextdoor should remain neutral and treat everyone equally. I am being targeted by my own liberal neighbors, I had another post removed yesterday, and Nextdoor keeps ignoring my emails. Another neighbor made a post commenting on how UnAmerican Nextdoor is by removing my posts. His name is ***********************. Many people agree with this discrimination by Nextdoor.

    Sincerely,

    *****************

Nextdoor.com charged my company for an ad in September 2022, that we did not authorize. They charged my credit card $892.63 for the ad. I did not even know the ad had been placed until I received a credit card statement for the charge. I immediately contacted the company thru their website and asked why an ad ran, for which we did not place. No one from Nextdoor answered me. I sent repeated email submissions thru their website, the only way to contact them, with no reply. I contacted my credit card company, ****************** and they investigated it. They denied my charge back even though I asked for proof that I agreed to an ad or at least a copy of the online ad, neither of which the credit company could get from Next door. I am beyond frustrated. I asked *********** to NEVER let Nextdoor charge me for an ad. They are at it again and are have repeatedly tried to charge the same amount, $892.63 to my credit card. I have called my credit card company again and they told me to reach out to ********* *********** gave me a phone number to NextDoor, which does not allow you to leave a message and the email they give is not a valid email. My email to Nextdoor, kicked back as invalid. Nextdoor.com should be investigated by *******************, the ** ************************* That company is fraudulently charging my credit Card! They are my next stop, if the BBB can not help me

Violation of 1st amendment freedom of speech without researching anything related to reports of posts or comments made before suspending account without research.I was suspended for 30 days without any notice or reason as to why. After emailing and requesting the reason why my account was suspended I was told it was because my address was in question and I may not be using the correct address. I submitted a dozen documents for the third time proving my address was indeed valid. The email then returned a reply claiming a comment I made in agreement with others regarding a dozen Muscovy ducks laying dead in the road was the obvious result of them being struck and killed. I also cited ******* law where homeowners can legally kill Muscovy ducks on their property. An email reply from "Paiton" claimed to have previously warned me of community guidelines violations on 9/13/2023 however the date of the email claiming this date was on 6/20/2023 which obviously tells me these people have absolutely no idea what information they're dealing with and have no valid record of any written warnings if they're sending dated three months into the future. It's become obvious this social media platform and it's administration are on some power trip to silence people who are only in agreement with other similar comments made. This liberal run platform constant violates free speech laws and cannot provide sufficient evidence of guidelines being broken let alone provide dates not in the future as to when warnings were supposedly issued. I'll be contacting a civil rights attorney regarding NextDoor because something needs to be done about their blatant discrimination and complete disregard for first amendment free speech and their inability to actually investigate email requests to explain the exact reason for account suspension. I'll be contacting a civil rights attorney for violating my freedom of speech on this platform solely because other users disagree with my opinions and laws.

On the 11th of June 2023 my 10 and 13-year-old girls and I were yelled at, told to get out and then yelled some F words at a local Salon in *********. The merchant then proceeded to redeem the Groupon without providing any service. I posted about this experience on ************ and filed a complaint with the BBB and state board (****). I posted this exact same experience/review on Nextdoor as well and multiple folks including some ladies who had similar experiences with this merchant came out in support of the post. I even provided evidence in the comments on Nextdoor. The owner then threatened to turn us over to police on false charges (screen shot of text attached) if we did not delete the review, but we refused to delete it. What the owner could not achieve by threats and insults, Nextdoor delivered by deleting the post/review. I tried contacting Nextdoor support multiple times to ask for a reason why it had been deleted so I can correct it but was given the same canned response about not following guidelines. I asked for the specific guideline or policy that it violated but was given the same canned reply. I have gone through the guidelines multiple times which state that Writing a negative review and criticizing a service provider after a bad commercial interaction as long as the post is civil and describes the persons experience is not considered shaming and is allowed. ********************************** is a Salon in *********, ******** . The federal "consumer protection act" also provides consumers the right to report honest reviews. In fact, writing a review and warning others is the only option/recourse for regular folks/consumers like us who get yelled cuss words, get charged for it and can do nothing about it even in the year 2023. Via this complaint I'm humbly requesting that an actual human review my post and let me know if it indeed violates Nextdoor's policy on business review. I'd be more than happy to correct any violations if directed.

This was last thing i sent company and they have put me on permanent ignore. This is the last time I will try to get a response, next I will be writing the attorney General and the bbb fo yall Refusing to follow your own guidelines. I will not be ignored, now it is just the point.I have been using Mrs in my **** name for ever and when my account has been wrongly blocked it has been fixed because guidelines are very clear. Attachment one, is just one time it has been corrected. But now jac can't seem to read the guidelines and iv been put on permanent ignore.Guidelines clearly states ****names are allowed but when yall lock my account you tell me it's not. Attachment 2. Wonder how many folks yall lie to that about.Next Jac seems to believe the guidelines state this. Attachment 3.Let's look at those guidelines. ************************************************************************************** .The section on using ****names says this. Attachment 4. So yup my LL ****name and my real last name ******* fits perfectly to the requirements. No let's look at what's not allowed in a name. Attachment 5. *** Mrs is not a professional title, nor an Emoji, nor a business name. So it is allowed. Yall are to follow guidelines completely. Mrs does not change my name its a prefix and still makes it me and still follows guidelines. Also while I'm writing in ***** it's illegal to shadow ban me so my account needs to be fixed. My name needs to be restored to what it has been Mrs.*****************. One more thing someone added a period after LL so I guess that was supposed to be funny.I need a response, like I said it's just the point now.

    Business Response

Nextdoor has a real name policy and Mr. or Ms. or Mrs. is not part of anyone's first name unless it is their actual first name. The neighbor can't use the prefix on their Nextdoor account.

    ComplainMrs. 0203015

I am rejecting this response because: guidelines do not state Mrs can not be used. It does state that professional titles can not be used. Mrs is not a professional title.  Mrs does not change my name. It is my real name and only a prefix you add to a real name. It does not change a real name.

Funny even tho the Mrs has been removed by ****, I got my account suspended today on Jun 26 once again for using my nickname LL which is clearly allowed by guidelines.  Funny how again I'm told I can't use nickname or initials on my suspension reason. This problem has been fixed before and yall even left my name alone but removed the Mrs. *** mrs problem has been fixed several times after someone that actually can read views the guidelines as well untill now but guidelines clearly tell you that nicknames are allowed, no common sense needed on that. Fyi guidelines do state I could use initials as well if I wanted, but LL is a nickname  My account has been Mrs.** since I opened it almost 2 yrs ago.

You guidelines are there to state what is and is not allowed....  guidelines also state that when confused to always resort to guidelines.  Not Following your guidelines goes against fair trade...

I just wrote to have my account reinstated once again wonder how long this will take. I want to file a biased mod report because it's clear yall can't read your guidelines .

I have provided guidelines already that state you are in the wrong, if you are on the right please provide guidelines that state this...

Bbb please explain there guidelines to them.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs.*****************

I have 2 accounts on Nextdoor (one for my primary residence & one in another neighborhood for my secondary home), and this is allowed on Nextdoor. I post photos of ***************** and they are very popular in both of my communities. I always set my posts to be visible to "anyone on Nextdoor." My posts get hundreds of reactions (******* likes), yet despite hugely popular local reactions, my neighbors have reported that they are unable to see my posts in other states and unable to share my photo posts to other states. Nextdoor emails say "Congratulations, neighbors are very interested in your posts." Nextdoor "Insights" show upwards of ******+ VIEWS in ************************************************ react from other states? This happens with BOTH of my accounts for both neighborhoods I live in.I contacted Nextdoor customer support and their response was (1) We have no Tech Support (2) Don't mean to be rude, but neighbors are not interested in your posts.A. Why does Nextdoor have no tech support to assist me with this problem?B. Why is Nextdoor Customer Support so rude with their reply, saying neighbors are not interested in my photo posts, when I have ******+ views & Nextdoor sends emails stating that neighbors are really interested in my posts? Is Nextdoor trying to say, out of ******+ views from ALL other *** states, not a single person in another state "likes" my posts? Seems implausible & sounds like a tech support "setting issue."Please have someone in Tech Support help with my TWO Nextdoor accounts so that my posts are able to be seen in other states. Some of my neighbors' posts CAN be seen in other states & some other neighbors' posts CANNOT be seen in other states. Why?Please train your Customer Support to be more friendly & render assistance.I need this fixed on 2 accounts please.

We don't have any record of the neighbor reaching out to the support team. This situation needs to be handled with our support team and can't be handled through the BBB.

Here's how you can reach out to them: ****************************************************************************.

    Customer Answer

    Complaint: 20187238

I am rejecting this response because:

    1. Nextdoor via BBB falsely claimed that I did not report my issue to Nextdoor Support. Attached via ZIP shows that I did report my issue to Nextdoor Support and Nextdoor Support was unable to assist me with the Tech Support Question that I had.
    2. Nextdoor Support stated that my posts are not interesting, as the reason why no one in other states are able to react to my post, BUT Nextdoor itself sent me emails saying that my posts ARE interesting and I'm making a difference, with ****** views. So when a post is made "globally" to anyone on Nextdoor, why does a post with ****** views posted globally, not allow neighbors on Nextdoor in other states to react to the post?
    3. Nextdoor via BBB tells me to follow up with Nextdoor Support, but Nextdoor Support is unable to figure out the problem, and says they have no Tech Support.

If Nextdoor Support cannot assist me with my problem, why is *********** via BBB telling me to reach out to Nextdoor Support?

Other neighbors make photo posts and have FEWER reactions, and THEY are from other States.
Why are my posts with MORE reactions - NOT from other States?
They used to be a long time ago, now nobody in other States is able to react. Why?

It has been speculated that Nextdoor is "throttling" accounts and not allowing them to be seen widely.
I would like an EXPERT Tech Response from Nextdoor, explaining why my posts from a year ago (with less reactions) were able to be seen in other States and NOW, my very popular posts (****** VIEWS), are NOT able to be reacted to by other States? What has changed? My posts are still being made globally. Why are MORE seeing it and LESS able to react to my posts from outside my State?
Tech Support answer please. Certainly someone at *********** can answer this, right?
Happens to BOTH of my Nextdoor Accounts under *********************** ***************** and *************************** (******* Lakes, CO)

Looking forward to Nextdoor HQs Technology Response, not a referral back to Nextdoor Support, who are unable to answer me.

    Sincerely,

    ***************************

I recently had a post removed. The reason given by NextDoor was that I was responding to a posting that was not in my neighborhood. In my appeal, pointed out to NextDoor that NextDoor itself classified this post as being in my neighborhood -- which is part of the normal stream of "what's going on in your neighborhood" messages that they ******* you with. They denied my appeal. This seemed to be a contradictory reason for removing my post, as I see many, many, other postings to an original post that are from different neighborhoods. So, as a test of their claimed policy, I flagged a random posting that responded to a posting by a person a different community; my flagging of this post was rejected. This experience indicates that NextDoor at best employs a contradictory policy - and at worst, exhibits discrimination and suppression of speech.People should be aware of such incidents of contradictory policies and/or censorship tendencies (and by the long list of complaints I see on BBB, others may be seeing similar issues with NextDoor)
