    This app is allowing racism and raciest comments to be made and nothing is done about it I was told to go back to where I come from and that I should expect to hear gun shots due to the area and population I live in and then my comments were reported as disrespectful when I was the one being disrespected the mods and admins are letting things fly by and are not being bias

    I am filing a complaint against ********* **** due to their mishandling of harassment and discrimination I experienced on their platform. But also that I am now unable to use the app when I did nothing wrong, I want my access back. **Details of Complaint:**1. **Incident Description:** - I have been dealing with harassment and discrimination from a member of my neighborhood on the Nextdoor app. When I made a post expressing concerns for my safety, several women responded with defamatory comments, causing significant distress. - Despite the inflammatory nature of their responses, Nextdoor did not take action to delete their comments or suspend their accounts. However, my account was suspended while I was defending myself. - I believe this action was discriminatory, as I was the only Black person involved in the situation. This incident has raised concerns about the platform's commitment to free speech and equitable treatment of all users.2. **Impact:** - The lack of action against the harassing parties has left me feeling targeted and unsafe on the platform. Additionally, the suspension of my account has limited my ability to participate in neighborhood discussions and access important community information. - The discriminatory treatment I experienced has caused me significant emotional distress and concern about the inclusivity and fairness of the Nextdoor platform, especially in **************3. **Resolution Sought:** - I am seeking a thorough review of this incident by ********* with appropriate actions taken against the users who posted defamatory comments. - I request that my account be reinstated immediately and that Nextdoor implement better measures to prevent and address harassment and discrimination on their platform. - Additionally, I seek a formal apology from Nextdoor for the unfair treatment I received and assurance that steps will be taken to ensure all users are treated equitably, regardless of race.

    The neighor's account isn't suspended right now. They can reactivate. The neighbor was in an argument with another neighbor and violated the guidelines. Rather than argue with another neighbor in comments, please report them to Nextdoor if you believe they are violating the guidelines.

    All the neighbor has to do is login and accept the guidelines. They were suspended for zero days, meaning, it was a warning rather than a suspension.

    Nextdoor is a leftist bunch of buffoons who will not allow free speech on their platform. Their "rules" are hilariously ignored if it's THEIR bunch, but anyone with conservative views is told their comments are disrespectful, shaming, etc. You cannot have a point of view different from theirs.Their "rules" are oppressive and censorious.I would advise anyone considering joining this app to think twice. It's better to avoid this awful, failing website.

    I have used the Nextdoor app for several years. I do not post on the site.Recently, it has stopped loading on my phone and I have not been able to get it going again. There are several support sites listed, but they wont download. I tried calling their phone number and it says that they do not give tech-support. I left a message and my phone number; of course, I did not receive a callback I spent half an hour talking to Apple, but they cant resolve it.Nonexistent customer service at Nextdoor!!!!!

    Nextdoor has indefinitely suspended my account using discriminatory and capricious reasoning. They claim I have discussed non local politics, citing three replies I made, and I had previous suspensions. This is discriminatory because these were not my posts, they were posted by another member, and commented on by myself and several other members. It was already non local, however only my comments were picked out for punishment. It appears that they allow content that violates guidelines, and then pick and choose who to punish from those that comment.I was also told just the day before this suspension by Nextdoor moderator, *******************, that he had reviewed my posts and found that they were on topic and respectful. In addition three previous suspensions were cited. *************-I was reinstated while an appeal with BBB was pending. 07-11-23- My account was disabled in error. I've reviewed your account and have determined that it was disabled in error. Best, Preeta, Nextdoor 11-15-22- Although I have requested information, I have no record of this. The action taken is entirely unwarranted, discriminatory, and contradicts Nextdoors previous comments and actions.

    The neighbor has been suspended at least 8 times and we've given him the benefit of the doubt prior several times to be let back on the website. Neighbor has also been muted more than 99% of all people in the history of Nextdoor. We're not allowing him back on the website.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    Im not sure the respondent has the correct file. I have not been suspended 8 times. Even their complaint said three and one was admitted to be in error. There reason given for this suspension has now changed. It was non local politics, but when I pointed out I only responded to a post and comments that were already non local they changed it. There was no precipitating incident, nothing since the September suspension, which was resolved. Clearly this is discriminatory, misinformation. What does 99% of those muted even mean? I posted a question about people muting me and 99% of the responses were that I did nothing wrong. I would show you if I wasnt blocked. Nextdoor refuses to even provide information that I requested to defend myself.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    This punishment far exceeds any comments I have made, which were civil and respectful. None were posts that I created. Im getting no answer on how this isnt discrimination. What is the regulatory agency, FTC, FCC?

    Can I get the name and position with Nextdoor of the person responding to this complaint. 

    If you would review the posts I actually made, you would see they are mostly home decor, pets, and neighborhood activities. My neighbors look forward to seeing the latest craft decor my wife makes. They are missing July 4 decor for the first time in 5 years. 
    People mute me not because of what I posted, but mostly because they posted misinformation and didnt like being corrected.

    On 5/20/2024 my account was disabled for reporting a post. The poster posted a video of children and commentators were inciting violence and physical harm towards the children. For the safety of the children I reported and my account was suspended. The reason given was because of my real name not given. However, in Nextdoor policies and guidelines it states it is to send you an email asking you to fix it. I never received it. Nextdoor violated my rights for reporting the post to protect children.

    I reported a crime to Nextdoor by one of their members. Nextdoor is ignoring my report or not acknowledging it. The crime is *****, defamation of character, which is damaging to my character. A member named ****************************, lives a couple miles from me and I know of her well, has violated the Nextdoor guidelines in numerous ways such as providing misinformation, bullying myself and many other members as well as using a fake name on her account. She is using the name ********************* now as shes hiding from all the misconduct she has perpetrated as ***********************. I realize that when people say rude things to other members, Nextdoor can suspend their account temporarily and Its not Nextdoors fault when people dont follow the guidelines. However this member has posted comments accusing me , for the whole world to read, of sending her hateful and insulting private messages. Just flat out decided she would post a made up story to make me look bad to others. For the record, I have not EVER ever sent her one single solitary private message, much less one containing rude and insulting comments. Nextdoor has records to prove that but just allows her made up lie to remain for all to see. It is a serious crime to commit ***** (defamation of character) by posting false information about another person. So if its a crime, why am I expecting Nextdoor to do something about it, why not call the police? I have called the police. Lets just say this crime isnt a high priority for them. This complaint is because of Nextdoor allowing this to occur and ignoring it. What do I expect? Well, notifying this person that her conduct is against community guidelines would be a good start. I have screenshots of her calling my wife insulting names, of her lying that I have private messaged her, and her profanity directed towards me. Listen, I get the fact that Nextdoor cant supervise every squabble between members, but flat out lying, which records can prove to be false, should be addressed.

    The complaint I filed weeks ago resulted in Nextdoor replying: "The report was handled correctly. If the neighbor continues to violate the guidelines, please report them again." You may consider this a small issue, but its a crime and against me. My relatives read what this woman is writing, neighbors, friends, co-workers, my kids, my employer. It is extremely unfair to allow this to continue, especially when it could be easily proved that what im saying is true by simply checking the log files. It's happening again, regularly. It never stopped. I dont enjoy this its such a waste of time but i dont know what else to do. This woman makes up lies about me and posts them. This is clearly harrassment and Libel being perpetrated against me on your Platform. Heres another example of it, after the name of another member was mentioned, the liar said the following. "**** she had to close her membership here because you bullied her off the site" People.Ive never bullied anyone at any time and her ridiculous assertions can be proved by log files. The date was May 14th. ********************* says I bullied a lady from the site. READ IT PLEASE, I mean , this lady writes that Ive private messaged her cussing her out. Ive NEVER private messaged her. Period. Yet hundreds or thousands of users read this and dont know what to believe, i mean, why would she lie right? I do not know why but its very unfair to me for nothing to be done about it. Ive been in my current neighborhood for 54 years and am respected by many others who know this womans lying. Look, if a user was saying that a certain car is blue and another one says its green, thats an opinion and no one should be foolish enough to think they should file a report about something like that. But people, its clearly right there in print on Nextdoors platform, its defamation of character by ***** , a crime. Can someone send this lady a message saying "It is a violation of ND Guidelines to commit libel and posting fraudulent information?"

    Nextdoor has sent me emails for a business that is not mine. My email address is associated with the business in their system. I have asked their customer service department to fix the discrepancy in their system and to remove the business. They asked me to unsubscribe to the emails to solve the issue. I find this answer to be insufficient.The business owner of the company that I am receiving emails for was an abusive employer and his family works in tech in *************. Maybe that is why my email address is associated with his business? OR Nextdoor is using some other data that connects it with his business.I am not ok with this treatment of my data from Nextdoor and their answer doesn't give me assurance that this was an "accident" or "mixup".

    I am rejecting this response because: I am still receiving emails that are associated with **************** which is not my business and my email has never been associated with this business. I made the nextdoor account myself and see that somehow it is associated with ****************. **************** has given false information about me in a legal case and I view this association with their business as further harassment. If there is an explanation for how nextdoor is gathering information that is associated with the business, I would like to know the origin of the incorrect data that they are using. This is something that I have discussed with ************** at BBB and if the information can't be shared publicly then I would like to be contacted by nextdoor.

    1. I am still getting emails associated with the business, see attached email from nextdoor to **************** LLC 6/18

    2. I didn't receive communication from nextdoor yet and BBB was under the impression that I had been contacted

    3. I would like to know how nextdoor is getting any information that is associating my email with the business, ****************

    This is seems to be a recent issue. When people comment, if a business or something that appears to be a business is mentioned, Nextdoor now includes a recommendation for the business. My most recent comment mentioned a fundraiser to fix up our local community grange hall and a recommendation for a grange hall in another city appears below my comment as a recommendation. I have seen other such occurrences with other users. I am not okay with Nextdoor making it seem as though I endorse any business unless I take the steps to provide the recommendation myself. I assume this is a glitch and nothing nefarious but it needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP
