    On 5/20/2024 my account was disabled for reporting a post. The poster posted a video of children and commentators were inciting violence and physical harm towards the children. For the safety of the children I reported and my account was suspended. The reason given was because of my real name not given. However, in Nextdoor policies and guidelines it states it is to send you an email asking you to fix it. I never received it. Nextdoor violated my rights for reporting the post to protect children.

    I reported a crime to Nextdoor by one of their members. Nextdoor is ignoring my report or not acknowledging it. The crime is *****, defamation of character, which is damaging to my character. A member named ****************************, lives a couple miles from me and I know of her well, has violated the Nextdoor guidelines in numerous ways such as providing misinformation, bullying myself and many other members as well as using a fake name on her account. She is using the name ********************* now as shes hiding from all the misconduct she has perpetrated as ***********************. I realize that when people say rude things to other members, Nextdoor can suspend their account temporarily and Its not Nextdoors fault when people dont follow the guidelines. However this member has posted comments accusing me , for the whole world to read, of sending her hateful and insulting private messages. Just flat out decided she would post a made up story to make me look bad to others. For the record, I have not EVER ever sent her one single solitary private message, much less one containing rude and insulting comments. Nextdoor has records to prove that but just allows her made up lie to remain for all to see. It is a serious crime to commit ***** (defamation of character) by posting false information about another person. So if its a crime, why am I expecting Nextdoor to do something about it, why not call the police? I have called the police. Lets just say this crime isnt a high priority for them. This complaint is because of Nextdoor allowing this to occur and ignoring it. What do I expect? Well, notifying this person that her conduct is against community guidelines would be a good start. I have screenshots of her calling my wife insulting names, of her lying that I have private messaged her, and her profanity directed towards me. Listen, I get the fact that Nextdoor cant supervise every squabble between members, but flat out lying, which records can prove to be false, should be addressed.

    The complaint I filed weeks ago resulted in Nextdoor replying: "The report was handled correctly. If the neighbor continues to violate the guidelines, please report them again." You may consider this a small issue, but its a crime and against me. My relatives read what this woman is writing, neighbors, friends, co-workers, my kids, my employer. It is extremely unfair to allow this to continue, especially when it could be easily proved that what im saying is true by simply checking the log files. It's happening again, regularly. It never stopped. I dont enjoy this its such a waste of time but i dont know what else to do. This woman makes up lies about me and posts them. This is clearly harrassment and Libel being perpetrated against me on your Platform. Heres another example of it, after the name of another member was mentioned, the liar said the following. "**** she had to close her membership here because you bullied her off the site" People.Ive never bullied anyone at any time and her ridiculous assertions can be proved by log files. The date was May 14th. ********************* says I bullied a lady from the site. READ IT PLEASE, I mean , this lady writes that Ive private messaged her cussing her out. Ive NEVER private messaged her. Period. Yet hundreds or thousands of users read this and dont know what to believe, i mean, why would she lie right? I do not know why but its very unfair to me for nothing to be done about it. Ive been in my current neighborhood for 54 years and am respected by many others who know this womans lying. Look, if a user was saying that a certain car is blue and another one says its green, thats an opinion and no one should be foolish enough to think they should file a report about something like that. But people, its clearly right there in print on Nextdoors platform, its defamation of character by ***** , a crime. Can someone send this lady a message saying "It is a violation of ND Guidelines to commit libel and posting fraudulent information?"

    I appreciate the assistance very much. It feels so childish to complain about a rude person on social media and Im sorry that it lead to filing a report. My intentions were never to be a thorn in anyones foot and I guess that there will never be a solution to the ongoing harassment from unfriendly people but as for now Im ok with the outcome - thank you - *****************

    Nextdoor has sent me emails for a business that is not mine. My email address is associated with the business in their system. I have asked their customer service department to fix the discrepancy in their system and to remove the business. They asked me to unsubscribe to the emails to solve the issue. I find this answer to be insufficient.The business owner of the company that I am receiving emails for was an abusive employer and his family works in tech in *************. Maybe that is why my email address is associated with his business? OR Nextdoor is using some other data that connects it with his business.I am not ok with this treatment of my data from Nextdoor and their answer doesn't give me assurance that this was an "accident" or "mixup".

    I am rejecting this response because: I am still receiving emails that are associated with **************** which is not my business and my email has never been associated with this business. I made the nextdoor account myself and see that somehow it is associated with ****************. **************** has given false information about me in a legal case and I view this association with their business as further harassment. If there is an explanation for how nextdoor is gathering information that is associated with the business, I would like to know the origin of the incorrect data that they are using. This is something that I have discussed with ************** at BBB and if the information can't be shared publicly then I would like to be contacted by nextdoor.

    1. I am still getting emails associated with the business, see attached email from nextdoor to **************** LLC 6/18

    2. I didn't receive communication from nextdoor yet and BBB was under the impression that I had been contacted

    3. I would like to know how nextdoor is getting any information that is associating my email with the business, ****************

    This is seems to be a recent issue. When people comment, if a business or something that appears to be a business is mentioned, Nextdoor now includes a recommendation for the business. My most recent comment mentioned a fundraiser to fix up our local community grange hall and a recommendation for a grange hall in another city appears below my comment as a recommendation. I have seen other such occurrences with other users. I am not okay with Nextdoor making it seem as though I endorse any business unless I take the steps to provide the recommendation myself. I assume this is a glitch and nothing nefarious but it needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP

    this company next-door is allowing businesses to advertise on their site and people are getting hurt because all the bad reviews are being removed and the customers think Thay have good feedback when they don't. I have gotten ripped off really bad from integrity home solutions people should be able to post the truth about this company. they keep saying I am not being disrespectful. what for posting the truth. is next-door a dictatorship I would never get this removed from ********* integrity home solutions are paying next-door that is what is all about MONEY. I took pictures of their reviews and posted them, and it was removed saying that is disrespectful

    Was told that my account would be reactivated after 1 year by support. Support lied about reactivating my account. Asked about proof of any reports against me. Support just ignorned me. Got called a troll on NextDoor. Defended myself and was suspended and the bully was not. Support never responds to an email. Like many other I was targeted by biased moderators who I never voted for. Bottom line NextDoor did not show proof,protects bullies and targets you if moderators are against you. Support does NOTHING against the biased moderators. Looking at all the other reviews tells me it deserved a 1.12 rating out of 5.

    When he was suspended indefinitely, it was because of multiple guidelines violations over the years. At the time, we said that he could reach out after a year to have support reevaluate his account. He's never reached out to reactivate his account. He's just reached out to complain about why his account was suspended.

    I am rejecting this response . They  didnt read my response. Not surprised. NextDoor provided NO screenshots or evidence of violations. Suspended for made up excuses by Nextdoor. Request for undoing suspension was done through phone. Again another lie by Nextdoor.

    Imagine how many times you need to be suspended to be suspended indefinitely. That's this neighbor and why we're not going to jump through hoops to bring them back. They have to prove to us that they won't violate guidelines again and again.

    Was a member of the site for over 10 years. An online disagreement with a moderator who was ignoring the rules and allowing members to violate those rules then started censoring my posts and banned my account. This site is hiding behind private status to control what is posted, random moderators control the information and they hide behind an anonymous shield. The site promotes neighborhood connectivity but based on the moderators can be nothing more than a place for neighbors that own side hustles to spam the site without penalty even after complaints that are promptly removed. The site also indicates that it does not allow for the sale of illegal goods or animals, yet there are constant posts of (pure bred) animals for sale. Alerting moderators is ignored and the sale of animals is permitted. I ask the BBB to dig deep into what this site has become and take action to stop the promotion of unlicensed, uninsured and sometimes illegal business practices. The moderation style is outdated and dangerous by being invisible, and non appointed. Moderators are chosen by other moderators. There is no way to vote them out or have them replaced at intervals that would keep bias banning from occurring. This site needs to be regulated.

    I requested deletion of my personal information from this website and they are refusing to or laying claim it will take another year before they can. Unacceptable.

    We don't have a neighbor at the email address provided, but the only time we ever hold onto information is if the neighbor has been suspended for violating the guidelines. We hold onto it for a year in the case of legal reasons or fraud purposes.

    I just received an email from Nextdoor. They said my ad is now live. I never asked for or purchased an ad to be published on Nextdoor. I will not pay for any ad they placed without my approval.

    Last week, I replied to a comment about a local government action that a local transportation commission was like responding to a "Nigerian Prince ***** scam". A person on the other side of the issue who regularly targets and bullies me by reporting my comment claimed the re**** was discriminatory. However this type of scam is regularly referred to as a Nigerian Prince ***** scam by the **** ********** of ******** *********** It is not a derogatory term yet Nextdoor refused an appeal and will not respond to requests to have this reviewed by a supervisor and to look at the repeated harassment of false reporting. It is especially damaging to have such a **** on my record as I am not discriminatory.

    Nextdoor responded via email to the complaint, eventually agreed with me and reversed the decision. The person responding to BBB complaint to this serious suggestion did not have the just up to date reply.  (See below)

I have reviewed your account to better assist you with this matter.Your concern is my utmost priority and I was able to seek assistance with a Supervisor in our moderator/review team. Upon the review and investigation on the main content, the restriction on your account was lifted due to incorrect suspension from a previous moderator team member.We found no Inflammatory or offensive language found. You should be able to sign in now as usual. I apologize again for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
