In February of 2023, I created an account with nextdoor, expecting to connect with neighbors in my city and learn about important things around me. But what I received were constant spammy emails and unhelpful information. They don't regulate nor moderate their platform, allowing people to spam offensive things and make unfair allegations about their neighbors. So I decided to try to delete my account. I notice there is a link for deactivating but not for deleting. I find a small unhelpful form to send to them. No support emails or anything. Apparently you need to be a community moderator just to do that. So I sent it to them 3/2/2023. I haven't gotten any answers or anything, but more spam emails. I had to manually disable every notification, category by category. I can't take these emails anymore, and feel unsafe for my privacy as they have my email and address. I'm disappointed and will not use this service again.Business Response

I, a black person, made a post about a racist incident at a library. Black people supported me. White people tried to explain that it was not racism and cursed in their replies to me and are still on the platform. I posted a medical journals definition of what a word meant including a link. I was then banned for being antiracist which their website references in a whole section of the platform. Now nextdoor will not delete my information.Business Response

I had a nextdoor ad account.. I deactivated it on 10/17/2022. They kept charging me for the ad, 3 months . I tried to contact them but the website said my account was deactivated. How could I be issuing ads if my account was deactivated. I went thru my credit card company *********** (bad news on them) and lodged a dispute. Once I did that it go Nextdoor to notice, They issued a refund for one m,onth, then they took it back and charged me again. I contacted *********** and they said to contact nextdoor for the refund. I contacted nextdoor and they gave me the run around, saying that the bank had to refund the amount because they show that the amounts were in dispute. When I asked nextdoor to send me a copy of the information that showed the account was in dispute, they said it was against company policy and they couldnt. this company is crooked and corrupt!!!! I would recommend you stop using them as a business vehicle.They have very bad business practices and should not be graded by the BBBBusiness Response

I asked for Nextdoor.com to close my account and delete my data as many on the platform were racist and the moderators were biased. Nextdoor locked my account so I could not close the account myself. When I sent them an email asking them to delete and remove all data from anything associated with terilane.com they refused. I am rejecting this response because:This company has illegally and unconstitutionally violated my right to free speech and freedom of association and caused untold damage to my reputation by permanently removing me from this Communist platform which does not allow speech that goes against THEIR BELIEFS (and does allow the spreading of misinformation by members on a daily basis who happen to agree with their stance on the issues). I did not ever post misinformation, which has currently been proven to be accurate and factual. The only way to stop these Communists from continuing their Chinese Communist Party actions is for the **** Congress to hold them accountable, prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law, and require damages for those negatively affected. They have illegally taken me out of the stream of commerce but shutting down my speech and freedom to associate.
Nextdoor was given example after example from me that my posts were not misinformation and did not violate their terms of service, which they completely ignored with no valid reason. They are a dangerous company that is destroying the American way of life by interfering in the even and fair exchange of ideas. I await the day they are shut down and/or prosecuted for crimes against all like-minded ********* who have been kicked off their platform simply because they are exchanging conservative, factual anaylsis and thought. I am one of many who have been permanently removed because we did not go along with their limited exchange of ideas (i.e., limited to only those who promote the Democratic Socialist Party's woke ideas and sick policies).
