I need to temporarily deactivate my account, and ******************** has changed it so that it is virtually impossible to do so. The various step by step options they list in the help center do not actually lead to an option to deactivate. They are essentially trapping users so that their accounts stay open, and that is extremely poor customer service.Initial Complaint

Hi I emailed Facebook privacy policy about my account a gliche in their platform this is about two factor authentication. I would pass on my message to BBB what I emailed Facebook but character count limit is too many. If I can sent it after I get a response from BBB? Please let me know if this is allowed? I dont own a one plus 7 phone and this is the message I get after the password change. My account is not hacked its an error in Facebook system. I have email and phone number access when I set up the meta account for my business Bio Green ****** Cleaning. As an Facebook user ******************** is violating my user rights and they are following their privacy policy. A few weeks ago I received notification another phone (not mine) had logged into my Facebook account. I tried all the self help options available to remedy the problem but the individual had changed the password and because of an old defunct email I could not remedy the problem on my own. I even hired an IT company (Nerds On Call) to help assist. No success. The problem is a old now defunct email address I no longer have access to that was used to originally register the Facebook account. So I could not reset the password. I also tried using the cell phone option to reset the password but also not successful. I got a message that said I was locked out. I have tried reporting this page and having friends report it. Zero help. Now the individual that has taken over my account is messaging my friends, removing pictures, and posting things for sale, and I cannot do anything to remedy the situation. I have tried getting in touch with Facebook via emails but it seems it is all but impossible. This is not acceptable. There should be customer service available to protect and address stolen identity claims and the harm's that hackers can cause. You cannot just have a few articles and self help options customers are left to on their own as the only means of protecting customers from these difficult scenarios and with no way for them to reach a real person. There has to be a decision maker that can assist. All I want is my page fixed and or a solution. Thanks for your attention to this matter :)Initial Complaint

Account Disabled on 8/9/2023 after a hacker gained access to my account. Ads still running and still increasing ad spend. Facebook has been nonresponsive to emails and ************ messages.My account email is: ******************** I have attached photos of the hacker changing the name of the account, but still has my email as login. My account was then accessed by a person in ********* and the name of the account was changed. I have attached snapshots from the information I downloaded which show IP addresses where my account was logged into as well as the name change. My Facebook was hacked and the hacker was able to use a fake email to change my account contact information and authentification measures. I am unable to regain access at this time and I am unable to find a resolution through any of the methods available on the Facebook help page. The email the hackers are using should not be accepted by Facebook as it is known to be fraudulent. I have a admin in a support a Online support group by the name ND Survivors (Narcissistic Personality Disorder) The admin name is ****************************. He has abused his authority as a admin to slander and spread false information and run a smear campaign against me. **************************** is hiding behind the title of admin to self project his hatred and bigotry unto me. One of the rules of the group is to not make religious post. My post weren't just religious ones but **** has picked me out only. **** himself also posted religious post in his account which I find contradictive. If I have violated any terms it doesn't give him the right to slander and spread false information online about me. This is abuse and highly disturbing considering this to be a support group. I do not feel safe and this is not okay. I would like the post removed and ********** Admin as well. This behavior should never be allowed in a support group. On August 18, 2023, my (******************************* - "*****") personal photograph was posted without my consent to a Facebook group titled "Are We Dating *** Same Guy? | ******* / ****** / ******** / *******". *** direct link to the group is: ************************************************************** *** post containing my picture included a false accusation of sexual assault. I have strong reasons to believe that the individual behind this post may be an ex-partner, seeking to maliciously harm my reputation and potentially disrupt my current relationship. This act is not only a breach of my privacy but also a clear case of libel and defamation.Actions Taken:Direct Contact with Group Administrators: I reached out to the administrators and moderators of the said group immediately after discovering the post. Despite expressing my grave concerns and referencing the group's own rules about posting false information, I have received no response or acknowledgment.Report to Facebook: I utilized Facebook's reporting mechanism to highlight this violation. Unfortunately, instead of assistance, I was blocked from the group, preventing further direct communication or monitoring.Resolution Sought:I am seeking the immediate removal of the defamatory post and any related content. Furthermore, I would appreciate if action could be taken against the individual responsible for such malicious content. Lastly, I urge Facebook to review and strengthen its mechanisms to prevent such incidents in the future.I am hopeful that the Better Business Bureau, with its reputation for upholding ethical business practices, will assist me in resolving this matter promptly.Thank you for your attention to this serious matter.
