My Facebook account, which I have had since 2009, was recently permanently disabled despite having no history of policy violations.I reactivated my account only to view some family photos. Shortly after logging in, Facebook requested a video selfie to verify my identity, which I completed. Within hours, I received an email stating my account was permanently disabled for "account integrity violations"without explanation.I have not posted on the account in years. All content is personal, original, and belongs to me. My Facebook and Instagram accounts were recently suspended by Meta Platforms for alleged CSAM (****************** Material), which I believe was the result of an automated system misidentifying an innocent family photo of my toddler.This is a false and harmful accusation. I have not been given access to any proper appeal process because both accounts are locked, and all Meta appeal forms require login access that is no longer available. I have submitted appeals and attempted contact through ************************** with no response.I have now filed a formal complaint with the Wisconsin Attorney General due to the reputational harm and lack of due process. I respectfully request a manual review of my case, immediate correction of this error, and reinstatement of my *********** name is ******* *****. I have had an Instagram with Meta for almost a decade, and have never run into any issues. On July 13th, 2025 my account was wrongly suspended due to violating Community Guidelines on child sexual exploitation, abuse and ****** which is completely false and an unacceptable untrue claim! Hundreds of people are experience false accusations and unjust suspensions/bans of Instagram accounts and now Im included in that number. Meta AI profile scanning is not working correctly and wrongly suspended my account from Instagram. I have made several attempts to get my account reinstated, including emailing support and submitting an appeal but have not received an answer (though Instagram says an appeal review takes just over a day to review). I am also not being allowed to access my data and information for my Instagram account due to the suspension. This is a violation of trust and is very upsetting.Initial Complaint

My Facebook account was wrongfully suspended after a hacked Instagram account (@******************** was added to my Meta account center without my permission.I have never created or linked that Instagram. As a result of this unauthorized activity, Meta suspended my Facebook and is requiring me to log in to the hackers Instagram account to appeal, which I obviously cannot do.Ive had my Facebook account for over 15 years and its essential to my personal and professional life. My Facebook account was wrongfully disabled due to an alleged cybersecurity violation, but I was never informed of what I specifically did wrong. I use Facebook primarily to talk to family members and see whats going on in their lives and occasionally to promote my small cleaning services in ********, ******* in local groups, which if not allowed I will not do again.. I rely on Facebook groups and messaging to connect with family, share pictures of my daughter to those not near, and maintain communication.Meta prompted me to complete a facial recognition video, which I did twice and still my account was locked. I was never given a chance to appeal, explain the situation, or provide context. Any attempt to use the appeal links simply redirects me to a screen that falsely says Ive already submitted an appeal (I havent). I also received a notice about an advertising restriction despite not running active ads, just posting in local groups like many others in my area.This situation has caused major disruptions to my business and personal communications, and there has been no path to speak to a human or receive clarification. Ive also attempted to contact Meta through the appropriate forms, emails, and state and federal consumer protection agencies, but have had no success. I used my Facebook and Instagram to promote my business in real estate sales. I agreed to try a business called "Authorify" which is another business I had written you about. What they did was post access to real estate books that made it look like I wrote them, and offering them free to anyone who wants a copy. I recieved a notice from Facebook shortly after saying they were suspending my page. I applied for an appeal two times and recieved an email saying I was still suspended. I am not sure if the postings by Authorify are the reason I was suspended because there is no one to give me the specifics. Since this is a part of my business marketing where I normally would post video tours of homes, news about real estate and more, I depended on Facebook and Instagram posts to promote my business. I would simply like to have my suspension lifted so I can access my social media for business again. I will not be posting any more "books" from ********* anymore. Dear BBB,I am writing to request your assistance in restoring access to my companys Facebook, Instagram, and Threads account, wrongfully disabled without prior notice or explanation. This account is vital to our business operations. Its inaccessibility has caused significant disruption and negative impact to our team, customers, and business.On May 28, 2025, the account was suddenly disabled. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue through the company's support channels, I have received no clear explanation or resolution. THREE SEPARATE PLATFORMS were disabled -- for no reason. On February 23, 2025 *** **** posted a review on facebook that is not for my business. It is defamatory to me and is confusing me with another business. The comments slam the owner of ********************, a business using my name, that is located *****. I am not affiliated with that business in any way and I have asked Facebook / **** to remove the review. They have ignore the requests.
