      Complaint Summary This is a formal complaint against ******************** regarding the complete lack of response to multiple urgent reports of a hacked Instagram account. My account was compromised on February 23, 2025, and the hacker replaced the registered email and phone number, locking me out. Despite submitting multiple official support requests, including verified identification documents, **** has not provided any acknowledgment, instructions, or resolution. This ongoing inaction exposes my personal data to serious security and privacy risks.Desired Outcome I require **** to immediately review my case, verify my ownership based on the ** and account information already submitted, and restore my access to the account. If further documentation is required, I expect explicit instructions.       This was also sent to the Consumer complaints and the ***. Facebook has a new tactic it seems, which is excessive or deceptive business practices. If they don't like something you post, they label it SPAM, then tell you, they removed it. One (1) post, is turning into eleven (11) separate violations, instead of one (1). They are adding an additional ten (10) separate identical violations for only one post violation. I thought it was strange. I waited a few days and as a *test, I re-posted the same post, which is not SPAM, with the #notspam to see what it would do. Again, it flagged it, notification said, we removed your (post) ********* (s)-because there was only 1. I answered the questions about disputing this. The post they wouldn't take the restrictions off on the last one on the 4th, they turned into 11. Again, 11 more violations dated 08/06/2025 for 'one' post. The first one was 08/04/2025, which was the first one which turned into 11, like magic. So, for 2 posts they are now 22 post violations, claiming spam post, which is false. For every one post, shouldn't turn into ten more. Thank you.

      Inhabe attempted to close my account on several occasions. June 13 and July 28 I was notified yesterday am that the deactivated account is still active. As of June 13, I notified **** that they no longer have rights to my data and this account should closed immediately. The account name is ********************* and I would like it closed asap. If there are any attempts to long into this after the dates listed above they are fraudulent as I did not long back into the account causing the account to be reactivated.       Bought a gift card for 50 bucks and I scratched the code and entered it and it said this card number has already been redeemed. I filed a complaint and they have given me nothing but delay tactic responces saying they are aware of the problem and working on it urgently. This is now almost two months of this.

      On Aug. 3, 2025 my facebook account was hacked. Despite taking measures to secure my account, including two-factor authentication, my account was still illicitly accessed by hackers, and by the time I got an actual email from Facebook that gave me an option to appeal an account suspension, they had already disabled my account. Not only has my personal account been disabled, but my business account on ******************** as well as my business account on Instagram have also been disabled. I didn't even receive an email about somebody, that was not me, being logged into my account until 12 hours after they had logged in, giving me no opportunity to secure my account from this person. They have seemingly tried to compromise my payment methods through my business Facebook page. Instead of providing support to me, the victim, I am being accused of violating community standards and can no longer access my account - there is no way for me to login or receive any kind of support. Every support option takes me through a loop that gets me nowhere. This is not only affecting me emotionally, but has taken up valuable time trying to remedy with no avail, and is already affecting my business as a self-employed artist and children's book author that relies on these platforms to communicate with my customers, clients, and general audience. I have been using Facebook since 2005. I have never violated any terms of service or community standards. If I can not remedy this any other way I will have to refer it to my attorney to pursue in court.

      My Facebook account of over 10 years was wrongfully disabled on 8/8/25 without any explanation. I have never violated Facebooks Community Standards.The account contains thousands of personal photos, memories, and connections with friends and family built over more than a decade. Losing this account would be a devastating personal loss.I have submitted multiple appeals through Metas official channels, attaching my government ID and requesting manual review. I have received no response from **** and no specific reason for the accounts removal.This situation matches recent wrongful account suspensions reported in July 2025 by **** Los Angeles and The Guardian, where Meta accounts were taken down without cause and users were unable to reach a human representative.I am requesting ******************** to:1. Immediately review my case manually.2. Restore my account in full, preserving all data and connections.

      My IG account was suspended/used without reason, and **** doesn't have any way to contact me. A system error prevented me from submitting an appeal.       I am the rightful owner of the Instagram account with the username bs.rar ******************** has wrongfully locked me out of my account and is refusing to provide reasonable alternative methods to verify my identity. They demand I either use a phone number I no longer control or submit government-issued ID, which they have rejected without explanation. I have offered multiple other ways to verify ownership (past passwords, linked emails, login history) and have been ignored.This denial is preventing me from accessing years of personal photos, communications, and contacts. It is also a violation of my rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), which requires companies to provide consumers access to their personal data upon request. By refusing reasonable verification options, **** is effectively withholding my personal data and account without lawful justification.I have already filed formal complaints with the ************************ (***) and the ****************************. This is a clear example of unfair and deceptive business practices, as Meta is using unnecessarily restrictive verification methods that block legitimate users from recovering their accounts.Resolution Sought:I request that **** immediately restore my account access OR provide a reasonable, accessible method to verify my identity that does not require the unavailable phone number or the rejected government ID.Desired Outcome:Full restoration of my Instagram account OR provision of alternative identity verification options in compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and applicable consumer protection laws. I further request that **** cease the use of restrictive, inaccessible verification methods that unlawfully withhold access to a consumers personal data.       Approximately one month ago (around early July 2025), my personal Facebook account was suddenly disabled without any valid reason, prior warning, or explanation. This account was used strictly for personal purposes and occasional small-scale legal work activities. I have never violated Facebook's Community Standards in any way. In fact, my account activity was extremely minimal I rarely posted, commented, or even uploaded photos.I submitted multiple appeals through Facebook's official channels, but only received automated responses or no reply at all. I have important personal data, contacts, and messages stored on this account, and the sudden loss of access is causing significant personal and professional inconvenience.******************** has failed to provide any clear reason or evidence for this action, despite my repeated attempts to resolve the matter. This appears to be an unjustified and arbitrary account restriction, which may constitute a breach of fair business practices and user rights.I am requesting that **** conducts an immediate manual review of my account, provides a clear explanation for the restriction, and restores my access without further delay. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I reserve my right to escalate this matter to relevant regulatory authorities and explore legal remedies available under applicable laws.
