Experian Credit Corporation has questionable business practices and I no longer consider them being committed to excellence. They reduced my score by 30 points on 3/1/2024, so I called to cancel my 'free' subscription. They wouldn't unless I verified info, they asked questions, and I didn't pass. What a surprise - they wouldn't tell me, why and demanded I submit personal documents to verify my identify. After filing bankruptcy in 2014, I've been rebuilding my credit the last few years as the bankruptcy is being removed august this year. My credit score with Experian was in the low 700 last year. I noticed it kept going down. I only have 2 bills, paid monthly early never late payments, no other items except the bankruptcy on my report. My credit score with the other two credit companies is in the medium 700's. Today I checked and my score went down 30 points to 649, a FAIR marking. Why? Because I paid the balance off my *********** card, which only has a limit of $1600.00, my other credit card has a 600 balance. This is unfair. I believe that Experian is doing this because they want me to apply for more credit cards in an attempt to raise my 'available balances'. I refuse to give into this type of nefarious credit scam. I don't need a thousand credit cards with 30% interest rate to show I'm worthy of a high credit score. It doesn't seem to bother TransUnion or Equifax. I also suspect that they are using this 'can't verify identity' to keep my information in their system and not delete my account. They no longer represent excellence. Please get them to delete my account completely from their system. It seems they only want you to apply for items from their website - maybe they get a commission, in my humble opinion. Think twice before signing up with Experian, in my humble opinion. You shouldn't be able to mess with people's credit scores like that. JS

This is in reference to information on a credit report. Information that's reported on their platform was never verified, permitted nor has a signature by me allowing thus information to be place on their platform. I'm requesting this information be removed immediately based on the fair credit reporting law.

I got Experian boost hoping to boost my credit score by a small amount but I had my name legally changed partway through the process and it is impossible to get fixed. I used their online upload: doesnt work, tried to fax them: their inbox is full, I sent my private information in the mail and called several times with no success. I am very frustrated that this has put me so far behind in my credit improvement process.

Experian dropped my score 23 points in one month. No changes showed up in my credit report and no other agencies dropped my score. I asked several times why, but always received a canned response that didnt address the issue. I still have no answers, but I have received ads telling me to submit my bills, insurance, and other personal info to raise my score. Is there anyone monitoring or controlling this company? Who do I go to for help on this matter?

Disputes take years to fix only to reappear years later!I closed my 30+ year account with Sprint in 7/2020. I was on autopay all the years I was with Sprint. During this time, they were being purchased by ********* I closed my account. Sent back their iPhone, and paid my July 2020 bill in full. I ported my existing phone number over to my new account with **** (we can not port a number with a past due balance). By 2021, ******** collection agents started sending me a balance due of ******* Past due bill/no return of iPhone. I sent in receipts (proof of payment and return phone receipt) to ******** and collection agencies (because Experian allows multiple collections on cleared disputes). Here comes the same collection that was removed 4 years ago! -49 Pts REMOVED from my VERY GOOD (2/13/24)rating on the same day I filed the dispute: ***************** #**: ************************ ($1,143 same bill) - on a paid as agreed , closed account. 2/16/24 - I pay off ********, 36-mo loan for $16,214.49; by way off a D-rated Cross River Bank---Hidden behind the scenes--changing my fix interest rate daily and charging $1,214 fees and $601 add'l dollars over the closing of the acct 3-months in, paying $15,213.39 before month end. I lost -49 pts on Experian Credit report and only a 7 point difference on Transunion and Equifax. ******** accused me of being 30-days late with bank receipts showing in January 27, **** they received a total of $15.213.59! How does Experian report me as ************************************ their favor? They also had all receipts of the JANUARY PAYMENTS uploaded on their dispute site on February 2, ****. I was upset that ******** did not close my account- Paid as agreed, never late. They left if open/Active with a balance exceeding the autopay monthly *** of $592.39! $601--Then came and reported this scam as 30-days late, and Experian ran with it, as usual! They never follow FCRA LAWS! I have proof and they do not care! Black Lives DO NOT MATTER!

Awful, there is zero interaction with a human being despite imploring the automated call for one. Prompting for an operator should not be this difficult. Especially when your website is not providing me the proper assistance. Terrible.

You cannot get a "customer care" representative on the phone. You just simply cannot. The phone tree they have set up is specifically designed to make you get frustrated and go away. No matter how you play it, you eventually are told that you don't have an issue important enough to speak to someone about, then disconnected. This corporation, and the other credit reporting agencies, have been given total access to the most sensitive financial information of every single person in the country. It should be ILLEGAL for them to be unaccountable and unreachable. I challenge anyone who thinks I'm exaggerating to try to contact them. You'll see.
