Im filing this complaint against Experian for reinserting a fraudulent Chrysler Capital/Santander auto loan account on my ********************** report after it was previously removed in January and February 2025 due to a valid identity theft claim.Experian did not provide the required written notice of reinsertion under FCRA 611(a)(5)(B). This violates federal law and denied me the opportunity to challenge the account again before it was re-added.The account is now being reported with false and conflicting information, including: A balance of $21,303 Status marked Closed but still showing charge-offs monthly through ******** No proof that this account is valid, authorized, or accurate Meanwhile, ******* no longer reports this account, and *********** reporting is inconsistent, indicating further unreliability. I have no knowledge of this loan, never authorized it, and submitted a complete FTC Identity Theft Report, government ID, and supporting proof of address. This is my third formal dispute with Experian, and they continue to ignore their responsibility under FCRA 605B to permanently block identity theft-related accounts from reinsertion.I am requesting that Experian:1.Permanently delete this account ************* block it from future reinsertion 3.Provide proof of any verification they relied on Experians failure to act is harming my credit and violating my consumer rights.Customer Answer

Thank you for your response. I am fully aware of Experians dispute channels and have used them. In fact, I submitted multiple disputes directly through Experians system, along with an FTC Identity Theft Report and supporting documentation.
This BBB complaint is not a first-time dispute it is a consumer complaint regarding Experians failure to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) after repeated disputes were made through their official channels. I am asking Experian to be held accountable for:
Re-inserting a previously deleted identity theft account without proper notice under FCRA 611(a)(5)(B)
Failing to permanently block the Chrysler Capital/Santander account after a valid identity theft report under FCRA 605B
This complaint is about non-compliance and harm caused after Experians dispute process has already failed, not a new dispute request. I am requesting that this remain on Experians record and for the BBB to note the companys unwillingness to address the matter in good faith through this platform.Business Response

Upon reviewing my credit report, I noticed several inaccuracies associated with a charge-off account that is negatively impacting my ability to obtain credit. Good afternoon,
Yes, I - ***** A. ******** - authorized this complaint.
Experian is reporting a charge-off account I believe is inaccurate, and they haven't provided sufficient documentation to verify its accuracy, as required by law. I'm concerned they may have failed to properly validate the account details before including it in my credit report.
