My business email address has been bombarded by hundreds of spam **** and phishing emails for three months that point back to some unsavory characters registered in *******, using Namecheap's servers. Most of these emails are allegedly from women, such as "****-xx" or "***************." They include suggestive language and icons like lips, bananas, and peaches in the email subject lines, describe, in the bodies of the emails, sexual acts in graphic detail and offer to share pictures, talk, or hook up, in violation of the CAN-SPAM Act of ****. The same names and email content appear over and over, but the domains change. I have also received phishing emails from "Shell Station Alert" and "**** Deere Alert." WHOIS searches of these domains revealed that the domains are all registered through Namecheap and the registrars are using Namecheap hosting servers. I am unable to file complaints about these anonymous companies registered in Iceland that Namecheap is protecting, but I am complaining against Namecheap, who is profiting from this abuse by allowing the offenders to purchase new domains after reported domains are taken down. They are not doing enough to protect consumers and businesses from this abuse. I have compiled a list of over 400 domains that sent spam **** and phishing emails to my small business in the last three months or so, that all come from the same person or group. Unsubscribing from these emails is not a solution, as I do not trust these people and will not click on any links! I would like emails from these domains and future domains purchased from these groups to cease immediately.Initial Complaint

This company hosts hundreds of domains that do nothing but spew spam and unsolicited emails. Clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in the emails takes you to a page where you can "Unsubscribe to All". The spam keeps coming.Initial Complaint

I signed up for a namecheap domain Sept 23, 2022. I quit using the domain in July 2023. I contacted them in August to cancel. They charged my renewal early and will not refund it, even though they admit receiving my enail. I emailed directly AND on their site. They say they sent an email with directions I never received, and won't refund or cancel. I contacted ***** to dispute the payment. They left me no choice. Now they've added a penalty and won't close my account until I pay the yearly fee and penalty. It's only $30, but it is the principle at this point. This is awful practice and people need to know. I contacted them prior to my 1 year renewal coming up. I just want my account closed and the fees dropped. I have no idea what they'll rack up or if they'll send me to collections. This is insane!Initial Complaint

I want to stop receiving email spam from domains registered at Namecheap.com. I receive more than a dozen a day and they are usually related to working capital and loans that I did not apply for and do not want. The websites are often built from the same template, as are the emails, with the common theme of all being hosted by Namecheap.com.Initial Complaint

I reached out to the company explaining my position since my bank card was blocked at the moment. They allowed me 2-3 days from 7th sep 2023 to 10th sep 2023 to pay $16.08 renewal fee. I tried to pay on 10th and the card issue persisted. I opened a ticket explaining to them that my card didn't send OTP so payment failed. since it was 10th sep was a sundcay, i requested i be allowed to come back on 11th sept 2023 so that i would be able to call my bank.No one replied to my ticket. On 11th sept 2023 monday at **** hours, i came to the namecheap live chat and to my shock they now changed tune that i was supposed to pay $86. I felt this was now fraud and scam. They even went aheadc to reduce it to $76, $60 and this sounded to me as scam **** blackmail.I wasn't late in payment and my emails, **** chats will indicate this. After learning that this was my company domain, they have resulted to blackmailInitial Complaint

I receive SEVERAL spam, scam, phishing, and **** sites emails DAILY, and nearly every single one of them are hosted by Namecheap. I know they can't always control who registers a site with them, but clearly, they are not taking reports seriously. The attached screenshots are only two examples of the types of emails I am receiving. Something needs to be done.Initial Complaint

This company seems to be the nexus of various email fraud schemes. At this point I have a hundred or so emails from Namecheap domains that are asking me to claim fake monetary incentives, gift cards, and rewards from major corporations which are being impersonated. It is hard for me to imagine that this domain provider is unware that its service is being used as a nexus of fraud against consumers including the elderly. This company needs to take action immediately and with time being of the essence.Initial Complaint

incurred a charge of $9.57 for the purchase of a domain name, which was an authorized transaction valid for one year. No further payments were expected in ****. However, on August 22, 2023, at 7:54 am, Namecheap charged me $19.64 for reasons unknown. Upon contacting their support, I was informed that there was an issue with nonpayment, resulting in the locking of my account due to unpaid services. Initially, I purchased the domain and had access to it for two weeks. Unfortunately, it was subsequently blocked, and I was directed to their risk management team. Throughout this ordeal, I received varying instructionsbeing told my account was unlocked, then instructed to verify my identity, and even asked to make a payment of $17. Another support representative suggested refreshing my accounts. This situation has left me in a continuous loop, and for the past four weeks, I have been denied access to the services on the domain website. To this point I have paid $59 to namecheaps. My request is simple: I am not seeking a refund of the $17 or $19; instead, I am earnestly requesting that my domain account be unlocked so that my business website can resume functioning. I am solely interested in having the services, for which I was charged, operational once again.Initial Complaint

Namecheap has no business ethics, cunning and misleading tactic to have your fund. Locked ** out without reason and when asked for refund of the purchased service, it claimed that there is a hidden term that the amount can't be return to customer. Money stuck in their company Another incident, we try to purchase a domain from them, after confirming the quoted price, we top up the account and pay. ****************** failed our purchase claim that the process failed, as they are trying to raising the price again. Again, top up money can't be return to customer. money stuck in their company again. Really cunning and unethical way to do business. I advice everyone looking at this comment to avoid this company at all cost.
