They work with criminals and share non consensual imagery and sexual abuse. When you reach out and show them it's illegal, they ignore you along with ignoring the US laws and Take it Down Act. Not sure how they're allowed to be a company or allowed to be accredited through ***** since they follow no laws and prioritize criminals over victims of sexual abuse. We have been dealing with issues with NameCheap for well over a year and a half now. We've dealt with sites all over the web, and the majority of these criminal sites sharing illegal content all register with NameCheap because they know that NameCheap does business with criminals and refuses to actually enforce US laws. NameCheap has never helped us remove anything we've reported, even when we've had a court order. It fights the victims of sexual abuse to defend their criminal abusers's ability to keep the victim's **** body online without their consent. Look at the side you're on here, seriously. If a site stopped paying you, they'd be down instantly. When they share illegal sexual abuse, you don't look twice and fight the victim on collecting meager amounts of money to support criminals.

I purchased a domain through Namecheap with all indications that I would be purchasing the domain for 1 year. In all invoices and correspondence I received until recently I was told I would have the domain for 1 year. 54 days after purchasing the domain, however, I got an email informing me that my domain was about to expire and I needed to spend 6x the original cost of the domain to register it for another year. It turns out, hidden in the fine print, they tell you that if the previous owner's registration of the domain hadn't expired, you are actually purchasing the last remaining portion of the registration and once that is over they are going to come after you for a LOT more money. DESPITE THIS, they still LIED and informed me in the invoice that I would have the domain for 1 year. Their customer support told me this was 'a bug' and that 'the product team will be notified to fix this bug', but despite this bug misleading me they only offered 50% off of renewal to register my domain again, instead of registering my domain for a year which I feel would be a reasonable resolution to their mistake.

I purchased a $2600 premium domain on 10/11/25. Then it turns out that Namecheap doesn't even own the domain, nor does it show me who owns it or how to move it into my Namecheap account.I have to go to their support. They tell me I'll have access in ***** hours. This was never stated upfront, or I would have just bought it through the domain registrar that already owned the domain.I checked back a day later, and my NameCheap account has been disabled. The password saved in my password manager doesn't work, and it doesn't even let me reset the ***********, now I've purchased a $2,600 domain that isn't in my account, and I can't even access the account.I go to live chat, I'm told to email their security team, and they'll get back to me when they can (no response time given). Not a great experience so far.

Ticket ID: *********** I purchased multiple domains through Namecheap in July 2025. The payments were processed on my credit card (I have receipts and transaction IDs). Afterward, I received official order confirmations, paid invoices, and ownership transfer emails directly from Namecheap. The ***** contact information was updated to my details, and I was confirmed as the legal owner of these domains.Over a week later, Namecheap suddenly claimed that the payment was not completed and tried to reverse ownership, despite their own receipts and confirmations. They are now demanding additional payment for domains that were already transferred into my account. This is unacceptable and misleading. A domain cannot be transferred without payment clearing first, yet Namecheap confirmed my ownership, issued invoices, and updated registrant details. This demonstrates either fraudulent behavior or serious internal negligence.I am requesting BBBs assistance to hold Namecheap accountable. I have full evidence (invoices, payment confirmations, ownership transfer notices, and WHOIS update emails) that prove Namecheap confirmed my rightful ownership before attempting to dispute payment later. Consumers deserve transparency and protection from such practices.

i was a victim of fraud and reached out to by name cheap risk management team. i informed them i was not aware of these charges or products and requested a refund/cancellation. after multiple back and forth emails, they refused to refund the charges to my credit card. this business is a scam. any other merchant that this happened with graciously retracted/cancelled any charges. not only did name cheap waste my time but they also tried to steal from me or were accomplices to a theft.

I was a loyal customer for probably ********************************************* huge jumps every year. So much so that *** domains are ~50% higher than their competitors. ~$40 and others charge ~$26. This is robbery. I noticed one such charge 1 month before my domain was set to expire. I requested a refund for the renewal a full month before expiration and they refused to give it to me. I am transferring ALL of my domains away from them and advising my clients to do the same. They will lose $1000s in renewals instead of giving me $40 back. *****************. Good luck!

The company employs zero moral compass and has predatory tactics to sell a hosting platform that fails to meet any reasonable security protocols. Requesting users to share admin credentials with third parties instead of having a proper protocols for sharing. When then requesting a refund, they will reject any and all reasonable expectations of good customer service.

Frustrating Experience with Namecheap **************** I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with Namecheap's customer service. My experience has been incredibly frustrating, particularly when it comes to canceling services. Despite my attempts to reach out for assistance, my concerns have been consistently ignored.I have tried to cancel my services multiple times, but instead of receiving confirmation or support, I continue to be billed. This lack of responsiveness is unacceptable and has caused me significant inconvenience. It feels as though there is no clear process for addressing customer concerns, and the support team makes it nearly impossible to get the help I need.I urge potential customers to be cautious when considering ******************. If you value responsive customer service and a straightforward cancellation process, you may want to look elsewhere. My experience has left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.

Subject: Complaint Against Namecheap for Unfair Account Suspension Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a complaint against Namecheap for unfairly suspending my entire account without clear explanation. As a paying customer, I purchased multiple domains for my business. Without warning or specific evidence, Namecheap locked my entire account, making all domains inaccessible. This caused major losses to my company. We could not use domains for our website, marketing, or customer communication. Some domains were unused and unconfigured, yet they were also blocked. The suspension prevented us from launching campaigns, harmed our reputation, and resulted in lost sales.I understand if certain domains might violate policies, but Namecheap should have only suspended those specific domains. Instead, they imposed a blanket ban on all domains without due process or proof. This approach is excessive and unfair.I repeatedly contacted Namecheap support, but they provided only generic responses without explaining which domains allegedly violated their policies or why all domains were ********* request is simple and fair:Namecheap should restore access to all domains not involved in any violation. They should clearly identify any domains they claim are in violation, with specific reasons.I ask the BBB to help mediate so that Namecheap stops blocking my entire account unfairly. Their actions have caused serious, avoidable harm to my business.Thank you.
