NAMECHEAP has been registering (or running) scam websites that try to steal financial information! Ive received well over 3000 texts with links to thriving websites. EVERY WEBSITE IS REGISTERED THROUGH NAMECHEAP. Ive asked several times for them to put a stop to it but they dont Thats why I think theyre part of these scams. Filed several complaints with the *** INTERNET CRIMES website but never heard a thing!

Subject: Complaint Against Namecheap for Unfair Account Suspension Dear Better Business Bureau,I am filing a complaint against Namecheap for unfairly suspending my entire account without clear explanation. As a paying customer, I purchased multiple domains for my business. Without warning or specific evidence, Namecheap locked my entire account, making all domains inaccessible. This caused major losses to my company. We could not use domains for our website, marketing, or customer communication. Some domains were unused and unconfigured, yet they were also blocked. The suspension prevented us from launching campaigns, harmed our reputation, and resulted in lost sales.I understand if certain domains might violate policies, but Namecheap should have only suspended those specific domains. Instead, they imposed a blanket ban on all domains without due process or proof. This approach is excessive and unfair.I repeatedly contacted Namecheap support, but they provided only generic responses without explaining which domains allegedly violated their policies or why all domains were ********* request is simple and fair:Namecheap should restore access to all domains not involved in any violation. They should clearly identify any domains they claim are in violation, with specific reasons.I ask the BBB to help mediate so that Namecheap stops blocking my entire account unfairly. Their actions have caused serious, avoidable harm to my business.Thank you.

WARNING ?? Do Not Use Namecheap Hosting I am thoroughly frustrated and downright exasperated with Namecheap and their horrible service. Today I spent nearly an hour chatting with customer service. What I thought would be a smooth process to create a CNAME record for a new AI integration turned into a nightmare! The *** provided detailed instructions, and I was confident I had followed them correctly. She clearly outlined what to do in the chat: create a new CNAME record and delete three others I supposedly didnt need. She confirmed she could see my changes and that everything was done correctly. She said my site could take up to 30 minutes to ***licate. I trusted her word and went on about my ****** 12 AM the next morning, I was horrified to find half my website missing! External links now led to blank error pages. Nothing was working right. I logged out, then back init was hit or miss getting onto the site. I even used a brand-new browser on my iPad, and still, my website was gone!Im so unhappy with Namecheap. I have two accounts with them for two domains, each with its own emailone using c-Panel and the other using Private Email. Both emails have ongoing issues that support has failed to resolve. For example, I didnt receive emails in my private email account for over three months! Though it was eventually fixed, it took three weeks and no one could explain why. Consequently, I lost several thousand dollars in ***** funding for my startup biz due to missed critical emails from companies that needed to connect with me through my business email.Other nightmares include payment processing issues on various la carte services during my annual membership. Its incredibly inconvenient to be nickeled & dimed every 3060 days. Why not bundle selected services and bill once with a full breakdown?Just one issue after another. Im fed up and WILL NOT renew. I cant, in good conscience, recommend Namecheap to anyone. A total waste of time and money!

If youre thinking of registering a domain or buying any service from Namecheap, let me save you from a nightmare: dont. I just went through one of the most frustrating, insulting, and downright absurd customer service experiences *** ever hadwith any company, ever.I bought a domain for $16. A simple mistake on my partI needed it hosted somewhere else. No big deal, right? I reached out to Namecheap support within minutes asking for help transferring it. I wasnt even asking for a refund. I was willing to eat the $16 if they just helped me fix the error. What followed was hours of back-and-forth, four levels of escalation, and zero actual help. No one listened. No one understood. They just repeated the same false claims over and over again like it was scripted. Every escalation was just another layer of the same lie. They refused to release the domain and instead told me to just tell them where to point it. As in: you cant have what you paid for, but well sort of pretend you can.All of this... over sixteen ************* I didnt even ask to get back. If they were willing to spend hours blocking a simple request just to hold on to $16 they were already going to keep, ask yourself:What do you think theyll do when your problem is worth hundreds or thousands?Ill tell you: Theyll wipe your face with used toilet paper and expect you to thank them. Thats the level of care youll get. No accountability. No honesty. No resolution.Even GoDaddy, bad as it is, would have handled this better. At least they pretend to help. Namecheap couldnt even be bothered to do ******* take it from someone who tried to do things the right way and got nothing but stonewalled and lied to:Go literally anywhere *********** Domains. *******. GoDaddy. A cinder block with a fax number. Anyone but Namecheap.Because whennot if, but whensomething goes wrong, youre going to find out how truly worthless their support is

My *************** account blocked my transaction for a domain name payment to Namecheap. That is strange. I frequently make purchases online, and my bank does not block transactions. I'm glad that the "red flag" appeared before I completed the purchase.

Namecheap is a nightmareunreliable, unaccountable, and destroys your business. If you value your time, money, or sanity, stay as far away from Namecheap as possible. My experience with Namecheap has been utterly disastrous. Despite relying on them for hosting and email services under the account 'discxwgg', they have repeatedly proven themselves to be unreliable, unprofessional, and downright harmful to my business.

I had a website designer working for me that was supposed to purchase the Domain in MY name and he did a scam and lied to me and put the Domain in HiS name, now I can't get to my Domain to run boat charters. I have contacted Namecheap several times in Emails, twice in Chats and once by Registered Mail. ******** ******* signed for the Registered Letter two weeks ago and I still have ZERO responses from them. I hunted ******** ******* down today on LinkedIn and sent her a copy of the card she signed for the Letter and asked her "Who do I follow up with?" No response again. How are these people in business? Its' been a year and my business is going down the dumpers because of these evil F's
