1 starI attempted to use Microsoft's Cashback. I did everything in the instructions. Got confirmation (which I screenshotted) and got a confirmation email. I turned off all adblockers (unless Edge - their browser has ones built in beyond the normal browser). They rejected the cashback offer which was the only reason I purchased the product. I can no longer return it now because of how long it took to process. Absolutely terrible customer service. They don't need good customer service as the Government seems to allow them to continue as the MONOPOLY that they are.Review fromVi L

1 starI was billed as a renewal and had no idea that Microsoft was going to renew my account. I did not receive notification and only realized about the renewal of $99.99 when it was on my credit card statement. When I was able to speak with someone from Microsoft they refused to refund my card because they stated it was over 30 days. It was exactly ******************************************************************************************** the mail. I can't understand why they will not agree to the refund especially since I do not use their services. It stinks of unethical business practices and horrible customer service.Review fromWilliam P.

1 starWhile using my desktop for email and work, every once in a while doing some Internet/email work, I get a little window that wants me to log into my Microsoft account. When I try to, it comes up with an error message ....your Microsoft account is suspended because you used the wrong password too many times! I HAVE USED MY SAME PASSWORD JUST ONCE!And trying to fix it, I try to change my password. But to do that, Microsoft tells me that they will text me a code to a phone number that I have not had in years! And I can't change the phone number because Microsoft will not let me log in!!This same c*** happens every time now for over a year! And when you call Microsoft support, you get some idiot in ***** or ******** that does not speak English!!I just want to send an email to a publisher for crying out loud! Just want to email relatives dammit! And when Microsoft tells you that they will contact you within 48 hours, THAT itself is a lie! They never do!It is a crying shame that Microsoft is the only one out there! Otherwise, if all my internet stuff works, I would definitely get rid of all Microsoft garbage! Because you can NOT get support!!Review fromKayla S

1 starMy account was hacked and there is NO WAY to contact live support. Every single minute the hacker is gaining another account of mine via my email and there is virtually no way to stop it because my password is locked and requires an "agent" to review.Whenever I call there "hotline", it just tells me to get into a chat online with customer service..... however there is NO ONLINE CHAT EITHER. This has to be the most TERRIBLE customer support system for a widely recognizable product that I've ever seen. You should be ashamed.Review fromMarsha L

1 starMy ****** account keeps getting charged by Microsoft. The phone number for customer service linked to these charges goes to a guys and girls chat hotline. Emails are not responded to. Making it almost impossible to resolve.Review fromRex S

1 starJust awful, this company used to be great but they now lack customer service. I purchased an ********************** game & found that it wouldn't work for my current system. I followed the process to see about exchanging for the one I needed. Microsoft denied my request. Now i didn't want a refund but to get the correct version. I've been ************ with this company with no resolution. Will not continue to support Microsoft as I have recently been using **** products.Review fromEli K

1 starOn September 29th, my Microsoft account was hacked, and fraudulent charges totaling $155 were made for Xbox and Microsoft gift cards. I promptly reported this to my bank, and they initially refunded me and disputed the charges. However, Microsoft provided "proof" that led to my bank reversing the credits. The gift cards were obviously redeemed because someone stole money from my account. ******************** failed to investigate who redeemed these cards or check the ** addresses involvednone of which were linked to me. I am now being forced to pay for these unauthorized charges.I tried to reach out to Microsoft for help, but the support system has been a nightmare. The support menus loop endlessly, and when I finally connected to a live agent, I was directed to submit a claim formonly to find the form submission button permanently grayed out. Despite every suggestion from the agent, nothing worked. The agent then escalated the matter, but their response did nothing to help.I need an immediate resolution. I am not responsible for these charges, and I expect Microsoft to investigate properly and refund the stolen funds. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to resolve this matter.Review fromJohn B

1 starSummary:The Microsoft Store is a great platform if you use what it offers. However, it has many bugs, doesn't allow you to uninstall some stuff, and the worst problem is S-MODE!!!! It is supposed to be speedy, secure, and simple. I like to add stupid and sucky. It disables you from opening anything you have installed that is not from Microsoft Store. To solve this, they allowed you to switch out of S-mode. I would have better chances of winning the lottery than swapping out of S-mode. First, you have to sign in to Microsoft Store. Countless errors occur when trying to do that. Then, you have to switch out of S-mode without encountering any errors. Apps you miss out on include DuckDuckGo, Grammarly (for Windows), Powershell, and many others. I troubleshooted this with Copilot (an AI) and it ran out of ideas. Microsoft Store is a 2.3 star in Microsoft Store (no typo). More than 75% of the 1-stars were S-mode. I would not recommend you get Microsoft Store. Detail: The Microsoft Store is a prominent platform that offers a range of applications but is plagued by several issues that can detract from the user experience. Users frequently encounter bugs, and some applications cannot be uninstalled, leading to frustration. A significant concern is S Mode, which restricts users from installing or running applications outside the Microsoft Store, limiting choices and productivity. While Microsoft allows users to switch out of S Mode, many find the process complicated and error-prone, as it requires signing into the Microsoft Store. Key applications such as DuckDuckGo, Grammarly (for Windows), and PowerShell become inaccessible in S Mode, further hindering user functionality.User reviews reflect these challenges, with the Microsoft Store holding a low average rating of 2.3 stars, particularly due to complaints regarding S Mode. Given these limitations, potential users should consider whether alternative platforms may provide a more flexible and user-friendly experience.Review fromDonna J

1 starMy Microsoft365 account was set up to be automatically billed to my credit card annually. Last year I tried cancelling my subscription because I have since retired and no longer use the software. I could not access my account because my account was associated with a different phone number. I dont know how or why it was changed. I never had to sign back into it after the account was established many years ago, so I did not discover this issue until now. Perhaps it was hacked for all I know. Last year my credit card company refunded my money. I thought they put a hold on Microsoft for future ******** but apparently they did not. I was automatically charged again this year. So I once again tried to contact Microsoft by email and phone to no avail. They kept trying to get me to contact them on-line through my account, but I still cannot access my account. So I wound up disputing the charge again through my credit card company, this time escalating it so I dont keep getting charged every year. However, I am told this is not fool proof and I can possibly be billed by them again. My issue is why cant Microsoft provide human customer service in cases like this. This is totally ridiculous and should be considered robbery since theyre not enabling you to cancel your account.
