On 8/1/2025 my Xbox Services account (Gamertag: ***************, Email: ************************** which I have had for 9 years and into which I have invested a significant amount of money was permanently suspended. On 8/4/2025 I submitted an appeal through the official Xbox Enforcement site, which was denied with no reason given and no communication with me. I was then informed that no further communication or review of the case would be allowed. As a result I have lost access to a large number of games and digital purchases I paid for, with no refund or path to recovery. Multiple Xbox support representatives have stated there is no way to appeal further or speak with anyone on the Enforcement team. I purchased multiple 365 subscription services. When one expired, they cut off my hotmail on the grounds my "cloud storage is full. Because no storage is available, files are limited to read-only and Outlook is unable to send or receive emails." Microsoft is demanding payment to restart service - basically blackmailing me. because of my other subscription, I should have one terabyte of storage. Even if I had no subscription, Microsoft says I have 15 GB of storage, yet I'm only using 5-6GB. All attempts to contact by email and phone went unreturned or unavailable.Business Response

I've been unable to sign into my personal Microsoft email account for over a week. It asks me to verify my email by sending a code to my phone but I never receive any code. The email recovery form does not work either since Microsoft keeps determining that the information I provided isn't sufficient to prove my ownership even though I gave them all the information they're asking for and they block my account. I've been unable to reach any human customer support at ******************** to help me recover my email account which I really need access to. Hello,Im writing to request a manual review of a recent permanent suspension placed on my Xbox account. This account has been active since the Xbox 360 era, and it represents years of digital purchases, achievements, and personal history. I was shocked to find it permanently suspended without warning or a clear reason provided.Ive always played responsibly and mostly focus on single-player games. Recently, I had only been playing offline games when I discovered the suspension. I submitted an appeal, but it was denied without a proper explanation and the enforcement page does not clarify why the suspension was applied.I believe this may be a mistake or an overreaction by automated enforcement. I purchased Microsoft Xbox gift cards specifically to be able to buy digital movies from the Microsoft Store. That is the only thing I ever purchased with them. There is nothing else that I could/would use them for. I would periodically add these gift cards to my Microsoft account. My ******************** account balance is $105.92 USD. As of 7/18/25, Microsoft stopped selling digital movies and TV shows therefore my money is tied up in my Microsoft account and I am unable to use it for what I intended to use it for. Microsoft changed the terms and conditions of the use of their gift cards to be able to purchase movies and with no notice to anyone. When I learned of this issue on 7/18/25, I immediately called them about it. I spoke with **** at Microsoft who was unaware of this major change. He then said they hadnt decided what they were going to do about this since many others were in the same position. He said he had no idea when they would decide anything or how theyd inform us. I requested to speak to someone who could resolve this issue. I called them again on 7/18/25 and spoke with ****** in the accounts and billing **** who was rude and who refused to let me speak to a supervisor or manager. Her response was that they couldnt help with this matter and that it was up to the retailers who sold me the Microsoft Xbox gift cards to resolve it. I called all of those retailers and they all said that it is up to Microsoft to handle it since those gift cards are redeemed into my Microsoft account and they are unable to be used to purchase movies since Microsoft decided to suddenly stop selling movies. The digital movies and mainly $4.99 movies are what I would purchase from them and that is clearly seen in my purchase history. If they had a final sale on digital movies and had given us a warning I could have purchased between ***** movies with my remaining balance. I am rejecting this response because:I purchased the gift cards to specifically purchase digital movies and digital movies only. There are no other products and services that I am interested in purchasing. Had I known ahead of time about the digital movie store closure I could have purchased between ***** digital movies and used up the balance in my account. It is unfair and despicable that you are holding my money hostage. It is wrong that I am unable to transfer my account balance to another gift card that I could give to someone and wrong that I am unable to transfer it to another account. It is sickening that a multi billion dollar company is unwilling to work out a solution for this situation since I know I am not the only one in this situation. This shows me and the others who are affected how little you care about your customers. ***** would never do this to their customers and that is why I and many others will never ever do business with your company and will continue to spend our money with *****. I am writing in response to my case regarding the permanent suspension of my Xbox account. I appreciate that this has been escalated to Microsofts accounts team, but I want to provide further clarification.
My account was permanently banned for manipulation of Xbox services. However, I have not used unauthorized software, modified achievements, or interfered with Xbox services in any way. I was never given clear proof or details of what I supposedly did wrong, only a generic message.
This is extremely frustrating because I have invested years and significant money into this account. It feels unfair to issue a permanent ban without transparency or proper evidence.

I've recently been locked out of two of my microsoft email accounts. I've done everything I could to regain. to no avail. The hacker changed my password and my phone number. Even though I was texted by microsoft security and txt them back no it wasn't me changing the phone number. Microsoft ignored their own security protocols and gave access to my accounts to a hacker. Who then used them to gain banking , legal and medical information contained in my accounts. I was unable to get the accounts locked to all, because of microsofts incompetent security and customer service. My Microsoft ******* account has been temporarily restricted for almost a month now. Everytime I submit a support ticket requesting to know why this happened or when the restriction will be lifted, MS ******* support answers that somehow (unspecific) I did something to violate their terms of service even though I haven't done anything wrong based on what is written in their Terms of service. MS ******* also keeps replying in the same email responses that if I do follow the Terms of service, the temporary restriction will be lifted. Microsoft finally responded 8/25/2025 stating that their automated system is continuing to restrict my Microsoft Rewards Account because it detected automated or suspicious activity on my account but gave no detail on what activity was automated or suspicious.
I have been following their guidelines extremely carefully for the almost 2 months since my rewards account has been restricted and I'm still restricted even though according to them if I follow their guidelines the restriction would be automatically lifted. Obviously their restriction has not been lifted and they continue to give the same response that I am doing something wrong even though I am following their guidelines carefully and have never automated any of my searches or activity.
They continue to not be specific in terms of what I am doing wrong nor are they specific on how I can continue to earn points in a way that will unrestrict my account. They even gave me a link that has absolutely nothing to do with my problem. *****************************************************
Microsoft Support has up to this point has not been helpful or informative at all, I am following their rules and their system still won't unrestrict me and they refuse to or are unable to tell me why.

Microsoft has decided to put some kind of hold on my account for making searches on Bing. They do not want to give me more points, claiming I'm making fake searches to earn points.I am using Bing as instructed, and am not trying to "game" their system.
