A sales man from this company was soliciting in our neighborhood. We had a no soliciting sign. He rang the bell anyway during dinner time. He did not receive a nice greeting as we had the sign posted. The gentleman came back about 9pm that night, stole our sign and banged on the door. Both times he is caught on video. I have emailed the company multiple times and requested the $50 (cost of the sign). Only response I have gotten is that it has been "escalated." This happened on 4/4/25 and I have been emailing them ever since. I would like an apology and the $50.Business Response

At 5pm a sales rep for Aptive knocked on my door. Then rang the door bell. Then knocked on the door again. After not answering I heard my 9 year old daughter talking to someone from my open side door. I go running out and this man dressed in all black asked me “who runs pest control around here”. I said “I’m trying to cook dinner what are you doing here”. My daughter comes running up and says this weird person started asking me who I am.
I turned and asked this guy “what are you doing”. To which he said “no what did you say you were doing?” I had to tell him” you need to leave”
I don’t want a stranger to feel like he can walk on private property around to the side of my house and get the attention of my girl, where she feels safe and I think she is safe.
What kind of company would want a sale that bad that it gets to the point I can’t feel safe enough to leave my kids outside behind my house.Business Response

Since May 2024 they were supposed to service me every 2 months. Each month I get a text and email reminding me of my service the next day ,they never show up the the next day I get a text and email my service is the following week. On 4/22/25 I called them I had a mouse problem in my house, the csr scheduled me for 4/26/25, I called on 4/25/25 to confirm appt for 4/26/25 I was told that I was on the schedule as the first appt if I didn’t hear from them by 9:30 am to call, I called at 9:30 and was told I wasn’t on the schedule until 5/3/25 again a week later. I talked with a supervisor and she supposedly cancelled my contact. I asked for an email stating it was cancelled and my contract was over with no additional fees. I am still waiting for that email. I want confirmation that I am free from this awful company, the local office does not show up when promised and I waited 5 days for them to help with an active mouse problem in my house and they failed.Business Response

I subscribed with Aptive and tried twice to cancel the subscription after a year. The cost of the service was expensive, and to cancel it they require me to pay $199 that they say is a "discount for the first visit" that is given if you complete the term of your service of 2 years. The service is NOT worth $149 per month for 24 months, and it is shameful that they charge $199 to terminate the service. A huge scam.Business Response

An Aptive Environmental person came to my front door about 6 months ago. He told me about their service and getting rid of pests, ants, bugs in general. I agreed to have them begin spraying, removing cob webs, etc. I was NEVER told that I was agreeing to a “contract”. I found out when I called to cancel their services and was told I agreed to a contract. That NEVER was told to me and it it was mentioned I would not have agreed. Now they are trying to bill me $250.00 to cancel their services. I am very unhappy with these people. There were several times when they never came and yet I was still charged.Business Response

An Aptive door to door salesman was menacing and harassing, and made me feel extremely unsafe in my neighborhood and my home. He ignored my no soliciting sign. When I approached him to ask what company he was with and pointed out that he ignored my sign, he proceeded to follow me through the neighborhood back to my home, and then blocked the entrance to my driveway. After asking him to leave, he refused, saying the road is public property. We contacted the police. Later he saw me again in the neighborhood and started following me back to my home again, this time videotaping me. I had to call the police back and let them know he was following me. I called the Aptive company to make a report on this salesman, but he refused to tell me his name. I asked for an email for Aptive so I could send them screenshots from my doorbell, but the email they gave me doesn’t exist. Several other women in my neighborhood felt threatened by this salesman, to the point that someone else (who was not aware of my experiences) sent out a warning to all the other women in my neighborhood. I am horrified by the business practices of Aptive if this is how they train their salesmen to handle interactions with the public. He was in my (small) neighborhood for more than 7 hours straight, harassing everyone.Business Response

This pest control company has a sales rep going house to house to try and get residents to sign up for pest control. When the rep entered my driveway i had told him i couldnt make any decisions without my husband home. He came back later that evening around 8 pm, sat outside on the ground next to our mailbox for 30 minutes and then approached the door. My husband told the rep we werent interested. He rep wouldnt leave until my husband threatened him. The rep then somehow found my cell phone number and texted me 10 minutes after being told to get off of our property. I never gave him my name, my phone number or any personal information. Im not sure how he got this info but its terrifying and harassing. Aggressive sales tactics and invasion of personal property and information. My husband called corporate to complain about the sales rep (his name was ***) and they wouldnt help us without us giving them our personal information. They hung up on my husband.
The following day i had ANOTHER employee show up in van and say they were here for pest control service. I DID NOT SIGN UP. They had my name down as ******** at MY ADDRESS. My name is obviously not ********.

This company approached my home while my wife was unloading the children and pushing her about getting pest control. We are on the no knock list for our town and them disobeying this and approaching my wife is incredibly inappropriate and they continue to go through our neighborhood and ignore the law.Business Response

Yes I've tried to cancel my subscription, as it was up in Dec 2024. And not they still continue to come out and spray and charge me. And I told them no. I called customer service, and she wouldn't let me cancel either. I looked at my bank statement, and they charged me. I want to cancel this. I'm done with it . My contract is up.Business Response

The company sent a sales *** to my home to sell me a pest control contract. I was told that it was with no obligation and could be canceled at any time without penalty. The contract stated a 24-month commitment. When I pointed this out to the sales ***resentative, he indicated that the contract could be canceled without penalty at any time. As I canceled this agreement, I was told that the first treatment had a discount applied that was only valid if I kept the work through the contract.
