1 starThey don't even check the leases of the people they're trying to steal money from. I have an all bills paid lease, yet I'm getting invoices from this company trying to take money from me for bills that are covered 100% by my lease agreement. Now I have to go through a week long process of fixing this all the while my rent is going to be accruing late fees, which I will be expecting this company to pay.Conservice Utility Management & Billing

***** - Conservice is a third-party utility management and billing company contracted through your leasing office to calculate and manage the utilities for your community. We simply bill according to the terms of the lease provided by your leasing office. If the billing is contrary to the lease terms, we would be happy to review your lease further and make any adjustments as necessary. I am happy to see you have reached out to our email team regarding this issue. Please note, emails are answered in the order they are received. We have recently experienced a higher email volume, however, a representative should be reaching out to you shortly. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any additional questions.Review fromNicolette M

1 starLiving in an apartment complex that uses this company, our utilities were ALWAYS $80-100. We were hardly ever home and were both responsible with water usage and such. Conservice is an absolute scam because they bill you an equal amount spread amongst the other units in your building, so a few large families using enough water to fill a decent sized swimming pool in the span of a day come off lucky, while those who hardly ever consume any get robbed. We just moved into a house and our utility bill is lower than what we were paying these scam artists. Dont even get me started on the -average- $40 sewage fee, community electric or community gas. Absolute joke.Conservice Utility Management & Billing

***** - I am happy to clarify. Billing methods can be different depending on the property you live at. The billing method you are describing is where residents are billed a portion of the overall bill for the communitys water and sewer services as outlined in their lease. This amount is split among all residents based on the occupancy and/or square footage of each unit. With this method, the utility charges can vary from month to month depending on the total amount received from the local utility providers. Properties that use this method typically do not have a way of measuring individual consumption. Due to this, we use this billing method and make it as specific to each unit as possible by taking into account their occupancy and/or the unit's square footage. Those with multiple occupants and/or higher square footage will pay more for the water/sewer charges than those with one occupant or less square footage. Additionally, the "community gas" and "community electric" charges typically cover any common areas at the property that are used by all community members. We would be happy to confirm information specific to your account and follow up on any other questions you may have. Please reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any additional questions.Review fromEdwin G

1 starI cant agree enough with all the one-star reviews. They are a predatory company who partners with apartments. We just moved out of a complex who partnered with them when we were already several months into our lease. Our rent and utilities were the same every month for the 12 months until we informed the complex we were moving out. Then, miraculously, we get hit with a 700 dollar bill bc they estimated what the meters were, and under charged us going back (conveniently) to when this new group bought our apartment we had been living at for 4-5 months. 300+ dollars for water??? Please know we had our own separate account with Xcel for our unit that we were obviously responsible for, but theyre literally reaching incredibly hard to try to get us for everything they can (sewer, and even more electric bills). This company is the definition of a scam and they partnered with the complex and obviously the city to try to do what is essentially robbing people with improper billing tactics and a service so devious it cant be legal. Dont live In **********, **!! Make sure you check to make sure the complex isnt partnered with them!!!Conservice Utility Management & Billing

***************** properties, like the one you are describing, are billed according to individual consumption. However, there may be times we do not receive a reading from the meter for a number of reasons. When this happens, Conservice works with the property to ensure we resolve this issue as soon as possible so that we receive the readings going forward. In the circumstance we do not receive a reading, we will typically estimate the consumption based on a property or unit average. An estimate is made to avoid a potentially large bill once we do receive the actual read. Once we receive the actual reading from the meter, we will evaluate if any overbilling or underbilling has taken place and make any adjustments as necessary at that time which seems to be what you are describing has happened on your account. We would be happy to review your account and confirm information specific to your unit. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any additional questions.Review fromCharlotte P

********* - To clarify, Conservice is responsible for calculating and issuing the utility statements each month. We include any rent information as received from the leasing office for your convenience. Please note, the utility charge amount and rent are listed separately on the bill for your reference. In reviewing your account, I see the 10/01/22 statement included rent charges only as received from the leasing office. Since your Conservice account is now closed and all payments for the rent are made with your leasing office, any questions or disputes regarding these charges will need to be taken up with them directly. I am sorry for any confusion. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any additional questions.Review fromAnil V

1 starEach month they update their systems late and charges a late fee of 7$. 7$ late fee on a 35$ bill is 20%. Who decided that ? and why should a consumer be charged because of your inadequacies.Conservice Utility Management & Billing

Anil - I am happy to see you have been in contact with our **************** Team and were able to have the late fee removed from your account. For future reference, we would be happy to look into removing any late fees that *** occur due to a billing error or an issue on our side.Additionally, at your community, the late fee is a flat fee of $7 regardless of the total balance due. Please note, there is a 3-day grace ****** from the due date before a late fee is applied. As long as a payment for the full amount due is received within this timeframe, no late fee will be charged. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any additional questions.Review fromJordan C

1 starConservice is a predatory business. They overcharged my roommate and I $1400 each for our water bill. We disputed the bill and Conservice said they would look in to it. After weeks and weeks of pushing them I got in touch with the apartment manager and they were able to get Conservice to pay me back. To them, I had the burden to prove to them why I didn't use $2800 worth of water in a month, not the other way around. They were absolutely okay with screwing me over.Conservice Utility Management & Billing

Jordan - I am happy to see you have been in contact with our Customer Service Team in regards to this. To confirm, you are billed according to your individual water consumption. If we are not notified of any maintenance issues that might be causing an increase in the usage, it is assumed the water consumption is actual and we are unable to review the account for any adjustments.
In reviewing your account, I see the high water bill was due to high usage caused by a maintenance issue in the unit. Once we were notified of this issue, we were able to make adjustments accordingly. I am sorry for the time it took to resolve this issue but I am happy to see the necessary adjustments have been completed. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any additional questions.Review fromNaomi E

1 starI believe this company is ripping people off. As many units in my building and the amount of money being paid in heating and water is beyond me. I feel as though they should be transparent with individual of their personal usage. I have reached out to them with no response.Conservice Utility Management & Billing

To clarify, at your community, you are not billed according to your individual consumption. You are billed a portion of the overall bill sent by the water and sewer company for the community’s water and sewer services as outlined in your lease. This amount is split among all residents based on their occupancy. The trash and water heating are billed in a similar way but are split among each unit equally. These charges can vary month to month depending on the total amount received from the local utility providers.
Please note, you can find a full description of all your utilities on the back of your Conservice statement. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any additional questions.Review fromVickie R

1 starWorst experience ever. We downsized from a 4 bedroom house and never paid this much for both water and rent with 3 people and pets! They are currently working with the apartment complex and show that we have some unusual usage creating $400 charge every month since December, including the first two months when we were not there for two weeks out of each month. They have now let us know we have not had any changes and they will not be making any adjustments. There is no way a two person household for one bathroom and under **** sq feet could ever use $400 worth of water each month. But they don't care and "can't" or won't inspect or do anything to fix it.Conservice Utility Management & Billing

1 starThe company is an absolute joke. They are a 3 party for the company we rent from so they are in charge of sending us our bill and also making sure it gets paid. We pay our bill through the company we went from when we pay rent but Conservice delays as to when they will pay our utility company. We received a cut off notice in Feb on Valentines days as we was heading out the door. We called electric company they said we havent paid in 2 months. I ask how was that possible being we pay directly when we pay rent and they stated conservice will delay making payments and due to this they will cut customers off. Now this month i received a bill with TWO date of service bill that is due. When i called electric company they said con service has already paid and our balance was zero. They are not ran correctly and definitely not organized if you can stay away please do. We dont have a choice being it is through our rental company. And dont call them because they will give you the run around like they are concerned and not!Conservice Utility Management & Billing

Vi - I am sorry for the situation. To clarify, Conservice is responsible for processing and paying utility bills as they are received. In the event of a disconnection, we work with the utility provider to ensure services are reconnected as soon as possible. If your services are still disconnected, we would be happy to assist you further. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com for further assistance. Additionally, Conservice passes along any bills received from the local utility providers as they are received. There may be times where we receive more than one bill from a utility provider and you would be billed for multiple service periods. This is done to ensure the service periods being billed are as caught up as possible. You can find ************************************************************************************************************************************* for more information on why this can happen. Please feel free to reach out to us online at www.utilitiesinfo.com with any additional questions.
