      Weve been with Alder for 7 plus years. A technician came to our home in May 2023 to update our system and install a new camera, since ours hadnt been working. The technician stayed about 30 minutes. He stated that it was getting late and he would be back the next day. He laid two WiFi cameras on our table, as if we should know what to do with them. Its been 7 months and we still havent had a technician show up. There have been multiple times where they have rescheduled. We also had a no call, no show. On another occasion, a technician showed up at our house unannounced while we were both at work. My husband told him we could be there in ***** minutes and he refused to wait. My husband talked to a gentleman back in the summer and wanted to cancel our service with Alder. He informed us that we were still under contract because we didnt cancel our contract after the original 5 year contract. My husband requested a cancelation form that he never received. The employee, *******, stated that due to that information, he would allow us to continue our services with Alder, without being under contract. My husband asked ******* to document that information in our file, so he didnt have to keep going over it with other employees. They are now trying to tell us that we are still under contract even though we havent had a fully functional alarm system for 7 months now and we have tried, without fail, to cancer our services. If there was any breach in a contract, it was Alder, for not upholding their end when we have paid in full every month. A supervisor has been requested two different times. They will make another fake promise that they will call back within a day and the call never comes. HORRIBLE customer service. Company does not have ethics.

      They say I have a contract of 5 years now when at the moment of signing up with this service they dont mention nothing about contract to bite you. They only sent me 2 door sensors and a mounted tablet, I have never used the service, is not even activated. They say the only solution is to fulfill the 5 year contract or pass on the service to someone I know. I will not pay anything to this company, theyll have to send the bills to collection, we dont care. Worst idea in the world to even try to work with them. I dont recommend it.

      Seriously the worst security system ever. When I signed up right after setting up my electric bill to be put in my name, they signed me up for a 5 year contract. I kept telling them we couldnt afford it, so they told me theyd lower the price down to $19.99/month. I wanted them to stop pestering me so stupidly I said sure. They still charge me $39.99 every month. Everything was fine with the system for about a month then my sensors started disconnecting out of nowhere. The app BARELY ever works, it always says my back door is open even when the door is closed and the system is armed. Also, sometimes when we get home well disarm the system and then well get a call 5 min later from Alder saying that the alarm was going off when it really wasnt. If youre needing a security system, DO NOT go with Alder. Their customer service is also the worst Ive ever experienced.

      I canceled service with alder security systems within 3 days of signing up for a security system. I sent all equipment back within 4 days. They are still sending me bills for service 4 months later.

      DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE POOR CELL SERVICE. DON'T EXPECT CALL BACKS, THEY DON'T LISTEN TO YOUR CONCERNS, JUST THERE OWN. THEY DON'T FIX MAJOR PROBLEMS IN A TIMELY MANNER AND THEY WILL SAY AND DO ANYTHING TO KEEP YOU PAYING. I purchased Alder home security system in 2020 through a referral from a good neighbor. After about a year her system went down and Alder would never come and fix it. Shortly after my system stopped functioning. I'm disabled; so I had more time to complain with the customer service, technical department and billing. Security system started working again then stopped. System will not communicate with cell towers which means it isn't communicating with the CALL CENTER. I'm UNPROCTECTED from break ins, fire, and health monitoring. Alder sent another panel it stopped working, they sent a system firmware update it didn't work. Finally a tech came to the house October 2023 after two other canceled in house appointments by Alder and he couldn't get nothing to work. YEP 2.5 YEARS TO GET IN HOUSE TECH. Now on a last ditch effort Alder suggest a system called ***** which uses WiFi. I have asked many question about this ***** system both from my internet provider who doesn't want them to use their equipment and told me it will slow down my internet and WiFi products since I'm on the free LIMITED senior plan. I relayed this to Alder but they don't seem to care. Alder just keep saying to try it and want me to keep paying. Alder knows they have a problem in my area since several customers have stopped using Alder service. They are awful about giving you copies of stuff you signed electronically on there tech phones. I was told I would receive an email and I still haven't received copy of what I signed on Alder Tech phone. Today system still not calling for help if I need it. It is suppose to be a MONITORED SYSTEM. Alder is good at installing and signing you up but not good with fixing major problems and keeping customers

      I do not know where to start with this security service. The first year was good, the equipment worked with no issues. I get a random call a year ago asking for me to extend my contract and I say sure, I have been happy with the services so far. Now, a year later, I am trying to cancel services as the panel keeps on disconnecting from the sensors they tell me that I have a 36 month contract and it will be hundreds of dollars to cancel my "contract". I ask for a copy of this "contract" but was told it is a verbal agreement they keep on file. How is this legal?? So I tell them to go ahead and send a technician to fix the connection issues. They try to give me an appointment for 2 months from now!! So I am supposed to be okay with my security system malfunctioning, doing the exact opposite of what I pay them to do. I do not understand how this company can stay in business operating this way. I want everyone to know how bad this company.

THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE. ALDER BURGLAR ALARM SYSTEMS BLAME YOU AS A CUSTOMER AND WILL TAKE ANY RESPONSABILITY IN THEIR MISTAKES. ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY AND NOTHING ELSE.       ***** 15 fue cuando tome la mala desicion de aceptar los servicios de puerta en puerta que ofrece alder, me ofrecieron mejorar el servicio con un equipo mas moderno * fue el peor error de mi vida, Me enganaron vilmente, el doorbell ****** nunca funciono, * la respuesta fue que debia comprar un mejor telefono, cuando claramente les informe que mi telefono tenia limitaciones,les dije que cual era la razon del porque no fueron conectadas las camaras al panel * hasta una semana despues Me dijeron que debia pagar $350. Por hacerlo, ese mismo dia 24 de julio ***** para cancelar el servicio, me dijo la operadora que alguien me regresaria la llamada en uno o dos **** porque habian tenido muchas cancelaciones ese dia, recibi la llamada el dia 26 de julio * resulta que solamente eran 3 **** de prueba, en cuanto el vendedor me dijo que podia hacerlo en cualquier momento; * debia pagar $3, ****** por el equipo, de lo contrario me mandarian a coleccion, * dije oka*, esperare cuando ellos me contacten, pero nunca lo hicieron, * siguen cobrandome $ ***** mensuales. Inmediatamente ***** a mi Antigua compania VIVINT, * para el dia siguiente vivint retiro todo el equipo de alder * tengo un mejor servicio ahora porque tengo a mi madre con demensia * a mi hermano con discapacidad.Cabe aclarar que en ningun momento ninguno ofrecio corregir * disculparse por lo ocurrido.       TERRIBLE!!! DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM, THE EQUIPMENT WILL NEVER WORK, THEY WILL NEVER RETURN YOUR CALL BUT YET CHARGE YOU EVERY MONTH FOR THEIR SERVICES THAT YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE, ACCOUNT MANAGERS WORST THAN CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY MAKE YOU SIGN A 5 YEAR CONTRACT AND YOU CANNOT GET OUT EVEN IF YOU WISH TO BECAUSE THEY FAILED TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES DESCRIBED ON THE CONTRACT. I HOPE BBB PUTS A STOP TO THIS BUSINESS, ITS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!

      This security company is a JOKE, they DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY. ONCE YOU SIGN THAT CONTRACT THAT'S IT. If anyone approach you named *************************, he works for this company and he's JUST LIKE THEM, HE WILL STOP ANSWERING HIS PHONE AND TELL YOU LIE AFTER LIE AFTER LIE. I'm going to try to get the word out on this company so that NO ONE else will be trapped in a contract that they CANNOT get out of.
