      This company is a scam, their products and services do not work. When you call to cancel they give you the run around and refuse. Their **** poor customer service says it all. Do not use this service.!

      I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone looking for home security service! They say you have 3 days to cancel the service without issue after installation ( not told to you ). However, the service starts to mess up after the first week. But do they care? No, because you now have to pay the 5 years in full to cancel it! And apparently, it's legal! I've had this service for less than a month and they want me to pay them for five years because it *****, the reps are horrible, and I want to cancel it. Needless to say, when I called about an issue with my equipment ( on multiple occasions, of which were not document by none of the out sourced customer service ****** they would put me on hold and then hang up. When you finally get someone on the phone other than the automated survey, they're conveniently having issues with the system. All they do is apologize and remind you that no matter how long you've had this horrible service, you owe them five years worth of payments so they won't cancel your service until you pay it. Thank you, but no thank you for your service, Judas!

      The worse company Ive ever seen when it comes to customer support and cancellations. I got the service Saturday 8-10-24 after reading reviews on how bad it was I then call Monday to cancel they have given me the run around begging for me to keep the account to finally pushing my cancellation forward which I havent got a confirmation for so I most likely going to have to call again tomorrow. STAY AWAY FROM THEM just get you a security system on Amazon and set it up yourself

      I believe this company is a scam. Unbelievable the way they conduct business! They will not let you cancel the service! Crooks! We have had Alder for over 8 years. We weren't satisfied with their company but continued using them. When we sold our house and moved we TRIED to cancel, but they REFUSED to cancel our contract! They insisted that we go to our old house and convince the new owners to take over our contract! I spent 4 hours on the phone yesterday trying to pay out our contract and Cancel the service! Still I was transferred to rep after rep and got nowhere! All were speaking too fast and had thick accents. All said the same thing, that we needed to go to a strangers home and sell our contract to them! Unbelievable! Or they could transfer to our new address. I wouldn't ask anyone to use this farce of a company! They are scammers and will not let you out of their grasp, even after paying $420.00 to cancel the contract! I'm looking into a class action law suit, especially after reading all the reviews on Alder, all stating the exact same issues that we had with them! They need to be put out of business at all costs! I want my money back!

      Worst service ever I do not recommend! I've been without service now for three weeks and who knows when it will be fixed. And in order to cancel my contract they want to charge me $2,000. Avoid this company it's not worth a dime spent!!!

      I had been with Alder for about 8 years, when my wife died in 2021. Her name was on the account and I had a very difficult time getting it changed to me. When I decided to cancel the account in December of 2023, they told me that they would need to get approval. After 3 more months of receiving withdrawals from my bank I called again and they said they need approval. Well I went to the bank and put a stop payment from them period. That got there attention, after another month I received 2 refund checks for what they had billed me. I talked to them again and they told me how to disconnect the system etc. Then I get a passed due bill from ADT systems. They said the they picked up this from Alder, info and all. It seems that Alder did not cancel my account but continued to bill me each month for a service that was cancelled. I finally got ADT to cancel the account they had for this, but was told that I still owed the $177.49. They said they need a cancellation letter from Alder confirming this. Since then I talked to Alder and they said they would look into it....RIGHT

      The most bogus, horrible company I have ever had to deal with! When the original system was sold to me for my mothers home, the sales rep said it was a 2 year contract. When she moved and we tried to cancel I was informed it was actually a 5 year contract. The sales person boldly lied to me. Then they said I had to pay $1500 to cancel the contract if we were to leave early. Then they were supposed to send someone to move the system to her new home and no one ever returned my phone calls to set that up. Here we are 6 months later and they have sold her a new system (without consulting me) at the new residence, when the new rep told her it would cancel the contract for the old house, it did not and I am stuck paying $63 a month for a system that is no longer used. They want me to pay $1300 now to break the contract. After being lied to about the length of the original contract. It has been an absolute nightmare dealing with these people.

      I have been with Alder for five years contract period. In the middle of the contract they increased the monthly payment from $45 to $48. Finally when my five years were completed, I sent written documentation in May asking to cancel the service in June. From then on I ended up calling them at least twice a week to ask about whats going on. Seems like nobody knows the answer to that. Finally by first week of July they said everything was finalized, my service was cancelled and I dont owe them anything, everything was settled. But I got a bill for $145 yesterday from ADT. When I called them, they said its rolled over from Alder for past due. I asked ADT to check the records of my supposedly recorded conversations with Alder. They said they couldnt find any. So the only information from Alder to ADT was the past due bill? which was all paid off when I cancelled. ADT said I have to pay the total bill and they will cancel my service on August 27. I dont see the justification in this. I also called Alder and talked to Mr * who said he cant give me his first or last name, which makes me think the whole company is scam. As per Mr *, Alder cant help with anything as they dont have me with them, I am with ADT. Its common courtesy to let the customers know beforehand if they are being tossed over to another company. Its a breach of privacy too. I would appreciate some help to get my money back.

      Alder is the worst security company a person could get stuck in, their equipment never works correctly. I canceled & confirmed the cancellation. 7 months canceled and 7 months later they sent me a bill for almost $200 from ADT. Alder and ADT said they do not have the cancellation contract after I canceled from Alder 7 months earlier they sold my canceled account as an open account to ADT ********************** company and now ADT wants to Bill me almost $200 for something I never knew about.The acccount was canceled 7 months earlier. Alder refuses to send me my cancellation form they say they don't have any old accounts which is a lie everybody has paperwork to back themselves up in businesses.

      The customer service, the contracts, equipment, auto renewal but cancellation through mail a SCAM. I world never recommend this security to anyone. They took advantage of my grandma and after researching the company, apparently they take advantage of all their customers. They also ignore all of the social sites that you can leave reviews on as well. 0/10 C.M -Account Manager was no help and an a****
