Do not use this service. I have had nothing but problems with this system and do not trust it. Customer service was good initially, gave me his number to contact anytime. When I tried to contact him the number was no longer good. The system sent out alarms in middle of night & when I wasnt here. I do not trust the system and therefote do not use it. They will not let me cancel unless I pay over $2000.

I ordered a indoor camera for my autistic sons bedrm and a monitor. That's all I wanted when I contacted alder. They gonna try and sell you the moon and earth. And I still said all I want is the indoor camera. They said I will receive a indoor camera plus a door bell camera for free that I didn't ask for. And they charged me $120 I believe. When my package came all I got was they free doorbell camera that I didn't ask for and monitor, no indoor camera for my sons room. So I called they said they don't have the camera I wanted and the only reason I called them. I told them I wanted a return label and my refund. They took $50 for restocking fee for something I never received. And they are the worst on the phone. Always tryna sell you something ans asking you is adt contacted me. He'll yeah I went with adt and HAPPY about it. Tell everyone you know alder home security is a scam company. Look on ******* they was on the news for going door to door picking up people's adt security signs off they property. I swear go ******* Alder ssam. Supervisor (*****************************) was no help at all and kept reading from some paper instead of doing what right. E1

Alder has to be hands up the most crooked company ever. They sell security systems that are junk. I tried to cancel my contract just over 30 days but was told I only had a 3 day trial period. Who could possibly feel safe in just 3 days. As far as Im concerned they are scammers taking advantage of peoples concerns for safety in todays troubled times. Dont get involved with this company if you dont want to get screwed. Tell friends and family to steer clear.

I have been under a 48 month (4 year) contract with Alder Security since October 20, 2019. My contract has ended and they are still taken money out of my account. Spoke with a customer service person and was told over a year ago that once the contract ended no more money would come out and the person did not tell me that I had to call back in to cancel or send a letter. I spoke with a customer service person today and was told the contract automatically renewed itself without my signature. Alder has not been helpful in assisting me and I have been trying to get assistance in this matter for a while. Alder is all about the money and not the customer. I have not been late on any of my payments the entire time. I am sad and disappointed in this company and how I have been treated. They only care about the money. If I could give a rating lower than a one star I would. What I am looking for is my re-imbursement for 8 months.

This company is terrible. My father passed away, and I notified them that we needed to cancel the service. They continue to push for someone to take over the contract - which is a hard NO. I told them the property was sold, we no longer had access to it, and the service needed to be canceled. I told them this back in April and again this month. They insist the contract be paid out. I have asked for a copy of the contract with my father's signature and what this so-called contract states if the account holder dies. I was then told they would come after his estate. This is the most upsetting thing to hear - any other company would cancel service upon the death of the account holder. I will file a dispute with the credit card company to request a chargeback if they continue to bill us, and I plan to file an official complaint with the BBB. This company has no ethics. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Unethical business practices and harassment. We tried to pay our contract off 1.5 years early. We were told there would be a large penalty. We continued to pay our contract and verbally canceled one day after completion. They sent a form letter confirming cancelation, requested a signature and returned. They deducted the final payment. Now they are telephoning daily, stating our account is still active, that we owe money and want us to pay to close the account. They were not responsive to problems. The alarm went off 1 day and we couldn't get it to stop. We called the company and waited on hold for over 1 hour. We finally removed it from the wall and buried it in pillows to mute the sound. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

I am an elderly women who lives along. A year ago I signed up for Alder's alarm system which did not include cameras. About a week ago an Alder's representative came to my house and told me that I could get the cameras free because Alder was running a special. The special was based on me allowing their signs to be placed in my front yard. He called it "free" advertisement for Alders. This was a total lie which I discovered days later when I received an email containing another contract from Alders indicating that I would be charged an additional monthly rate for the cameras.Fortunately, I saw the contact in time (the law gives us 3 days) to cancel it before it went into effect. Understand that there is no way to cancel after the 3 days, they have you on the hook for 5 YEARS. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THE COMPANY THEY LIE AND CHEAT YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

I have been dealing with this company since ****************************************************************** the option to not renew. Without our knowledge or authorization, they renewed a contract in 2022 due to expire in 2027. They have been taking $50 a month from our account and we have not been able to set our alarm system for the last 3-4 years. They want to take your money by auto draft without providing any real customer or technician services. Our panel goes off periodically naming our different sensor locations then says, "not adult supervised"!! What does that even mean?? I have called them twice to see if a technician can come out and take a look (hands on) at our system to see what is going on and they just say they can't put me on a schedule until there is a technician in the area. In my opinion, anyone selling a product should have tech services in the area at all times, even if it is a third-party company. I think I have tolerated this longer than I should have.
