      My grandparents used Alder Security. My grandmother passed in 2020. My grandfather sold his home in 2022 and we have tried to disconnect service multiple times. Was told today that they would charge my grandfather **** to disconnect because he was breaking a contract. A bunch of scam artists taking advantage of an 87 year old Veteran.

      They came to our house and acted like they were with Vivint cause thats who I already had service with.Looked at our equipment and said we were due for a upgrade ,started the whole process to just to figure they were not with Vivint.Never got my door bell cameras or inside camera.I have been trying to cancel this service and they want to charge me $2000.00 .I am so angry and have had several conversations with them and they still will not cancel my service.They have taking over $300 from my account.They are scam artist and I reported them to the BBB

      OMG the worse company I've ever dealt with., Their customer service, their equipment never worked., Had problems with them from the start but they sure were ready to collect money every single month. The stupid door ************* all it did was ring, I could never see who was ringing the doorbell. I hate this company , returning all their junk and if they try to take a ***** more, I am getting an attorney. Please don't sign with them it is a scam company.....Their tech never showed up with an appointment nor did they bother to call. They probably have no *****. What a mistake I made getting into this companies service...I rate them ZERO******

      This company trapped ** in a 5 year contract and when it was finally over and we started the cancellation process they made us jump through hoops to cancel. Whats worse is that theyre still charging us 2 months later and REFUSE to give us a refund of our money when we DIDNT HAVE SERVICE!!! Ive never been more furious with a company in my life than I am at Alder security!

      They came to my 87 year old grandmothers home. She was a ADT customer. They told her they were with ADT and they needed to replace her alarm panel. They replaced the panel and took her ADT panel. They then had her sign paperwork and updated her payment information. They did not even close out her ADT account so she was getting auto drafted from both companies. When we started going through her bills we realized what had happened. We tried to call alder and nobody was talking to us. As soon as we started telling them what happened they would hang up on us. Then her ADT was mysteriously cancelled by a fax into ADT when we started looking in to it. This is an incredibly terrible company that preys on the elderly and people who do not understand what is happening to them.

      Terrible, sign you into a ***************** dont work, dont provide refund credit NOTHING. Told them ** moving wont have a home and they said well too bad. No need to make the customer happy. Ridiculous. Looking into a lawyer at this point. They had directv offer me the services and didnt even TELL me what this was. Dumbest company, stupid service, even more stupid customer service representatives.

      Absolute worst company in the security realm. Do not even think of going with them. They are scathing thieves. We have had several issues with our system being non functional only to be told we will have to wait 8 weeks to get a tech to come fix it. Not only that, but they refuse to give us any credit ********************. Little did we know, our contract auto renewed for 5 years. Absolute disgrace of a company. I hope the *** ***** in the deepest darkest parts of h***

      If I could give them 0 stars, I would. This **************** at ********************** is awful. I called 8/8 because I still don't have all of my equipment and wanted to cancel. They said I would have to pay a fee. They couldn't transfer me to a manager so I had to call back on 8/9. Was on the phone for an hour after getting transferred multiple times. I want to cancel but cannot pay 1000$ for the fee. This is crazy. I was with vivint, who installed all my equipment the same day. I didn't even realize the gentleman was from a different company until the end. I just want to cancel the system and have them pick up the little equipment that I do have. Do not go with Alder. You only have three days to cancel, which the representative did not tell me. He just left an information packet. I should have just read it when he left it.

      Horrible customer service. I have tried many times to call and have someone come out to fix issues with my equipment and could never get someone on the phone. After multiple tries I then tried to call and cancel my service and still no luck getting anyone on the phone and the numbers I call go straight to some random voicemail. My suggestion is if you have this system call your bank and have them put a stop payment on this company if you have it set up to automatically draft.

      Like other customers before me, I selected one star because there isn't an option to not select any, zero, nada!A guy from ALDER came to my house, without a previously scheduled visit, claiming that my current home security system was being bought by ALDER and that he came to replace the equipment. I am in academia and it was the end of the spring semester, so I was engrossed in grading papers and it didn't occur to me that I was being had. I believed him (gullible of me!) so he changed everything and made me sign all kinds of documents. I immediately looked into the company and learned that it was deceptive, so I called the company and told them to rescind my contract since I was within the three-day grace ******* They didn't. I called the ALDER technician to remove the ALDER equipment and reinstall the old one. He didn't. ALDER even sent me a bill for the first month, which I never paid, of course. When I called, they told me that I had to remove the equipment myself and return it to them. I did. Afterward, I called my old security company so they could reinstall their equipment again (the ALDER technician had left everything in a plastic bag.) When my old security company technician arrived, he told me that there were a few pieces missing. Replacing the missing pieces cost me more than $100 :-( Dam you, ALDER!
