      Have had service for a couple of years and it is a headache to do anything, my alarm randomly goes off in the middle of the day 2 or 3 times a month, my doorbell camera was not installed properly and when it stopped working I called customer service and was told that I had to pay for a technician to come out when it was not my fault as their technician was the one who installed it wrong. I Then have to send the old camera back before they can ship a new one which I had to pay for so now I have no working camera but am still having to pay for the service on it. I am still under contract or I would not be using them.

      Tried to cancel before the 30 days, however the salesman kept stressing to contact him first during the initial interaction. After numerous attempts with no response called customer service to try and cancel. The usual attempts to not cancel with different concessions ensued but after I continually insisted on cancelling apparently they cannot not do that over the phone nor will they tell you the cancellation amount. It was in a letter that they emailed to me. Was finally able to get in contact with the sales person who said he was going to take care, telling me to stop payment from my credit card company and that Alder does not report to credit bureaus which sounds dubious.

      Ive been with Alder since July 2022 and by far this is the worst company Ive ever done business with. My home security was working fine for the first couple of months. After that the panel constantly powers off and on by itself. I called Alder about the issues in Oct 2022. They scheduled a technician appointment for Nov 2022 and that appointment was rescheduled until Dec 2022. I then was called by Alder a day before my Dec 2022 appointment to reschedule. The representative stated no technicians were available in the area to come out. My appointment was then rescheduled until Jan 27 2023. By this time Im completely frustrated and I demand a one month credit. I received the one month credit and waited until Jan 27 2023. On Jan 27th my appointment was from 9:00-12:00. By 2:00pm no technician has arrived so I called Alder. The representative in the scheduling department informed me that no technicians were available in the area. I began to go off and demand to speak to a Supervisor or Manager. I was told none was available. I was so frustrated I asked to cancel my services. I feel Im not receiving the services the company promised and that this was a breach of contract. The representative then stated I was under contract and couldve cancel and rescheduled my appointment until Feb 28 2023. So on that day a technician finally came out after 4 months of rescheduling. He ran test on my panel and said he didnt have any equipment to replace anything. He stated the company hasnt had an equipment for about 3 months. So he leaves and I call Alder. By this time my anxiety is through the roof so I hung up the phone. A few days later I took all the equipment down and shipped it back via **** I called to confirm if they received the shipment a few days later. And of course they never confirmed or denied if they did. But I did give the representative the tracking number anyways. I just want out of this contract. This is ridiculous this company is getting away with doing this

      Very difficult to deal with and to cancel your account. I have been told I cannot end my subscription without paying for 4 years of service. Don't get suckered by their business.

      Luckily, I only signed a 12 month contract. However, that contract is up now. I tried canceling early and they said no which was not a big deal because it was only 2.5 months early. When I called though to try to cancel the first time I found out that they play this game of transferring me to all kinds of people. The call also dropped 3 different times so I had to call back and start all over. I asked for a supervisor and of course they were "in a meeting". I ended up dealing with this for 2 hours the first time. So, now my contract is up and I called to cancel and make my last payment. Its literally the exact same song and dance as last time. After talking to 4 people, after asking immediately to talk to a supervisor, I finally get to a supervisor who sends me a pdf form that I have to sign. (BTW all the supervisors were all "in a meeting" again when I first asked). The supervisor says once I sign the form they will send me a confirmation of cancellation. They've responded twice to my email and have provided no such confirmation of cancellation. My card info changed so they haven't been able to charge me for the last 2 months. I'm so nervous to pay the last bill and that without the cancellation, they will charge me again. Do not use this company!!!!!!!

      We did business with Alder over 5 years and when it was time to end our contract with them we did everything thing we were instructed sent in our cancellation letter and sent emails confirm that we had sent them we thought everything had been done sent in cancellation letter on August 2, 2022 and on March 14. 2023 Alder sent a technician to update equipment we no longer had we have tried everything possible to get these people to cancelled our contract We realize they have changed our account thee last 7months after talking with them they lied several times telling us they didn't have the letter when I told them I have the email then they said they had after talking to 3 different people I was told we would receive an email with the cancellation and our refund we have not received an email or anything what do we do from here about getting these people to cancelled and stop taking money out of our account that is stealing Thanks

      this company did not cancel our contact we did all the step to get it cancel but they kept charging our account then they sent a technician to our house after 7 months later to update. After we had the contract for 6 years never seen seen or heard from these people this is the worst company we have dealt with now when we call they act like we are stupid tried to tell me we didn't send the cancellation form when I told them I have it in my e-mail then they going tell me oh I see it now then going tell me I was suppose to contact them after the letter then I tell them I have a copy of the e-mail where I did contact them. Then they begin to tell me they are going to review and then cancel the contract when I ask about our refund they begin to tell me it had to be review. They lied and lied

      All of the reviews read below are accurate. Every time, I called and ask to speak to a Supervisor.. No Luck. The Representatives refused to honor my request. They are so disrespectful.

      I have had Alder security in my home for a few months. The system is now offline due to updates that the company needs to send a technician to do. I've been waiting for that technician to come since last November. They just keep rescheduling the appointment. So I am virtually sending these people my hard earned money for nothing. I foolishly signed a contract for 60 months of service of which I have around 26 months remaining. Per my contract I will still have to pay 90% of that. Some lessons are hard learned. I will count this one as mine. But if it will keep someone else from making this same mistake, I will take joy in that. If someone is reading this review then they are already ahead of the eight ball and doing what I have learned to do. Do your due diligence and investigate a company before doing business with them.
