      We were told when agreeing to terms that it was a two year plan. We were never able to use I t, buy had hopes of making it work. Life went in and we forgot about it. Fast forward to 22 months. We called to cancel and were told we couldn't that it was a five year plan. We'll that was a lie because we agreed to two. They wouldn't cancel even though they knew we had never used the system once. It's still in the box. We were told they were gonna charge us 90% of the balance up to five years. These people lied to us about the length of the contract and even after telling them I will send the equipment back still in the box, that we owe them 90% of the remaining what they claim is a five yr contract. In my opinion they misled us with the length of the contract. They say everything is recorded yet they can't go back and pull the recording.I strongly advise not doing business with this company due to their customer service and listening tactics

      I upheld my end of the 6 yr contract from May 16th 2017 to May 16th 2022 and sent a letter April 6, 2022 within the 30 days advanced notice to cancel my contract as i no longer needed their services. I sent another letter December 26th 2022 to cancel my contract and still they didn't do it. I talked to a rep this past April and said she would forward it to the account ********* here it's a year later and they are still taking out payments out of my bank account. They said i had a 6 yr renewable contract if i didn't cancel my contract before the renewal date. I did send a letter to cancel, cause you have to write them & can't do it by phone or email. This company use unethical practices. I want them to stop withdrawing from bank account!!!

      If I could give them 0 stars I would. This company is straight dog sh*t. Their customer service is non existent. They lie about contracts and try charging thousands of dollars if you want to cancel. I'm sure they've been sued many times. DO NOT BE CON'd INTO THEIR SVC!!

      If I could give less stars I would!! Company sold me on a 5 year contract under false pretenses. He said it would only be a year and that was wrong. I own up to being locked in and have paid for 3.5 years of the 5 year contract. However, I only had the equipment turned on for less than a week because every night at 3 am the alarm would go off. And no one even called to check Recently I have not been able to pay the bill. The called me to see about "helping me out" and offered me a discount but Unforseen circumstances has made it so I am moving to a private residence that does not allow security systems as the owner is taking care of that. I informed them of this, offered to settle up the back pay and they charged me a "cancellation fee" of $1099.73. I informed the rep I was unable to pay that and he hung up on me. I have since reached out to them to receive a copy of my contract for review and they have refused over and over again, asking if another company has reached out to me. This is becoming a legal issue as they are not supplying me with my legal right to a copy of my contract! Do not use this company

      They do not Service their Systems, we have been calling them for months and no help. They extended our Contract without our ok to do so, don't use this Company!!!

      Ive been with alder for years and one day in September of 2022 an alder rep showed up at my home and told me that he was there to upgrade my system ( big mistake) the sensors are stick-on and keep falling down,my panel is completely black and doesnt work and they want to hold me to a contract. Ive had a technician to come out several times. They come in and do whatever it is they do to get your system up and functioning for a couple of days but after that its malfunctioning again or worst. Ill call the company we troubleshoot and they tell me what to do to bypass some of the doors that Im paying them to secure. I dont need to bypass anything I need their sh** to work properly. At night Im fast asleep and my alarm goes off and all through the day and night Im hearing panel communication failure If the panel is not communicating I know my home isnt being monitored. Im not making another call to them and nor are they getting another cent from me.

      They use deceptive practices. **************** is awful. Requested the contract from 2+ years ago. They can only mail it and not send it via email. 90% cancellation if cancelled early. Never received the contract in any way over the past two years. Horrible company. Do NOT use this company it will be nothing but a headache for you in the long run.

      Alder security is a scam. This company is not honest about their prices, also don't tell you about being in a contract. This needs ti stop...stealing is stealing!!!

      My ****************** with Alder started in 12/2018. The representative/salesman were very eager to acquire business in the neighborhood which we had just moved in a few months prior. All transactions were electronic like most businesses. I never received a hardcopy of my contract and until last year, I thought my contract was year to year! Fast fwd, when a technician showed up last Feb. 2022, said our panel equipment needed to be upgraded, nothing was wrong with the panel, still communicated properly to the alarm service. Fast fwd to Nov. 2022, when the games began. The system would black out, no service, called Alder...xferred to Tech Support, put on hold for long periods of time; they troubleshoot, get it back online. After several incidents with this supposedly updated system constantly failing...my patience started fading! I demanded to speak to a Supervisor/Manager, in Tech Support, of course they were always unavailable, so I asked for a copy of my contract! Unbeknownst to me, I was in a 5 yr contract, Well 12/2023 would be my 5 yrs. The games continued, no resolve to my completely unworkable panel, continuing to paying for service I haven't received since Nov. 2022, It is now April 7, 2023. No representatives are in the area to fix the equipment, but they continue to tell me "Oh, we will give u credit for the time u have had no service! Unacceptable, criminal and Alder Systems needs to be punished for these business practices. If I could give NO STARS, I would! Please beware. If ur system is updated, they will try and attach another 5-year contract to ur account b4 ur initial contract is up...Yes, I was told by customer service my "NEW CONTRACT" was through ****!! **** emailed me the other contract and that's when I lost it and sought an attorney. I pray they get what's coming from their one-sided illegal practices!
